The Arcan’dor restoring the Nightfallen to Nightborne is to make them playable, them going horde was by executive majority vote, it wasn’t because of story considerations. or narrative considerations.

Pretty sure they were conceived as a giga evil drow analogue to be slaughtered down to the last man. Ion described them as such at that first BlizzCon IIRC.

In game execution gives no support for this since they were not encountered at all before the expansion that opened them up as a player race. You might be thinking of the spider elves which ARE essentially monsters of that stripe.

Oh Demon Hunters… they should at least expand into the other two factions of Elves.

Evokers… they at least need the ability to form shift into all the dragon modified projections of all the races.

That aside this expansion had all the perfect excuses to introduce the new classes.

DH… No idea when but the Illidari could definitely have done some recruitment after Legion (and if they want to do more than expand it to all elves Draenei and HMT have, kinda, models for it)
