Horde are just being entitled babies…it’s so absurd. God forbid Blizzard finds a way to get the less populated faction involved in wpvp somehow.
Horde players - sorry that you have to actually fight enemy players in war mode now, instead of just collecting a free 10% bonus. The alliance gets a 30% bonus now but they’re STILL outnumbered and get the snot kicked out of them most of the time while leveling. Welcome to the party!
It’s not bandwagoning if we’ve played the same faction for 14 years. It’s bandwagoning to opt in and out of war mode based on the bonus being given to you.
Sure, but it’s more ridiculous to try and blame the smaller faction for an imbalance issue. Bandwagon for a bonus, lol why do you think so many reroll horde.
You’ve been Horde for 14 years, and I’ve been in war mode since it was introduced. Yet, there are Alliance who turn war mode on selectively, and plenty of Horde who only switched for the racials.
Sorry… but you NEED 30% bonus exp + rewards and extra 375 gear rewarded to actually show up, and well… yeah… we all know whats gonna happen when you lose those perks don’t we?
I personally have no problem with the alliance raids, horde does the same. I DO have a problem with all the free crap they need to shove in your direction to get alliance to actually show up.
Running into raid of alliance camping flight points like the cowards they are is not fighting an enemy. You had to be bribed into war mode because your faction was full of whiny cowardly children.
Explain what prevented Alliance from doing this pre-8.1? Here is your answer, nothing at all. They do it now because they are too cowardly to run around in anything less than a 40 man group and are being bribed into because Blizzard couldn’t get them to man up and join war mode without being overly rewarded.
“Horde hypocrisy” more like ally babies who cried about Horde Bias because their fanfiction faction has no flavor enjoying a free boost in rewards because they were too incompetent. Or maybe warmode just gives a small % bonus and doesn’t actually add more to the open world that would cause players to opt in. Today, doing WQs as horde, I noticed a lot of Alliance gank squads getting rekt by horde groups in different shards. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Alliance end up turning off their warmode once they get their weakly quest done because the population imbalance and sharding imbalance will eventually overtake any reason to leave on warmode for a mere 30% bonus to rewards.
The real issue it seems is sharding itself. Most of the time the shards seem super imbalanced one way or the other, H or A.
I think it’s less of an issue with factions and more of an issue with sharding. It just seems like a bad design right now and doesn’t work as intended.
Sharding can’t fix human nature. Most people prefer shards where their side outnumbers the enemy, so they stay in those shards and abandon the shards where they are outnumbered.
I mean if im doing quests and the alliance have a 40 man group rolling over everything, i WILL shard hop, sorry im just trying to finish the damn incursion in the last hour before it disappears.
The irony is the reward buff is pretty much functionally useless in anything but a psychological sense. The 30% boost only applies to rewards that are already negligible garbage. So Alliance is just sort of hopping in for less reason than they think they are, and Horde is crying about something that gives them basically no significant advantage.
Not complaining. I enjoy the participation. Just an observation.
Agreed, and this is why most of us don’t even care, we enjoy the rebirth of some decent clashes that don’t have a time limit or a specific terrain every third occasion. Most of the Horde don’t care about the bonus you guys get. If it makes you log in and want to kill us, great!
On an individual basis, I agree, they mean little.
On a factional basis, they add up. During 8.0, the effect of unbalanced racials on mythic progression guilds was magnified by the fact that the Horde guilds could get 10% extra Azerite for free, giving them basically a free neck level, more traits, and better progression. Alliance mythic raiders are now being given a chance to catch up with the 30% bonus, if it stays around long enough.
Problem is the AP mattered then when we had three months less decay, but now a fresh alt can trivially hit the inner ring of a 385 without even touching warmode or doing anything but the solo questline.
That 10% of Horde dominating the entirety of 8.0 potentially meant an extra level back when levels meant something. 30% now is completely superficial, and at best will give you 1-2 empty levels by the time decay starts ramping up again and makes all your progress obsolete.
Progression raiders want to be ready for the 400s and 415s dropping from the new raids. If we see a couple world firsts by Alliance guilds, some of the wannabes will switch back to Alliance, which will help with overall faction population balance.
To me the 30% means little to nothing, plenty of alliance players have stated that even before 8.1 they had no problems getting quests done in WM. To me, the problem is the bonus weekly 370 piece, if it rolls azerite that is free scrapper fodder for TR. Which is why a bunch of guilds already had people banned for abusing the Ivus bug last week. I rarely did WQ’s for azerite unless i was bored, and im sitting on a lvl 37 neck, now granted some of the lvl reqs for mythic gear is kinda absurd, plenty of grinders are already in the 40’s, so to me that is a moot point.
That’s not gonna happen though. Horde has very clearly better racials for all the critical burst-or-wipe phases we seem to be married to right now. Unless Dazar changes that and starts leveraging a bunch of stuns, roots, etc where Alliance self-cleanses actually work and are remotely significant, we’re not getting world firsts and the wannabes aren’t going anywhere.
We can already easily open all but the lowest ring of 400 gear, and we’re not far from the third ring of 415. All the major traits are already available. Resounding Protection isn’t even on hardly any of the Dazar pieces, and that’s the only one you care about past the primary traits.
