Horde hypocrisy

First off, I’m so glad Blizzard brought forth this 30 percent bonus thing, Alliance are finally coming out to do warmode, and even I turned it on for the first time after hitting max level. Doing invasions while in warmode is so fun it’s perhaps the best PVP experience in WoW I’ve had in a long time.
But I’ve noticed something from Horde players recently.

Before 8.1 Horde players had the obvious number advantage, and whenever an Alliance player on the forum complained about it Horde would always respond with something along the lines with “Well that’s just how the game works, if you have more people you win.”, but now that we have the majority of people in warmode and we go around and gank the Horde I started to notice an influx of Horde players complaining about it.

So what’s up with that?

Players are players, no matter which faction they’re from.

I just want to see more Alliance claiming it’s skill, not numbers or gear, when we win, just to make that even too.

Last night I was in one of two fourty man raid groups both attacking Dazar’alor. Alliance camped out on the top of the pyramid holding off an equally sized Horde group before we decided to call it quits. I think the main reason we won though was because we had a whole lot of AoE’s in the doorways at the top of the elevators, causing horde to die as they came up. It was a laggy, but fun night.

Here’s the difference. When the rewards were equal, the Horde was winning and the Alliance gave up. The Alliance had to have the reward bonus buffed 3 fold to make them opt-in to War Mode. That’s why the Alliance is taking over War Mode. If it were 30% and 30%, the Horde would dominate again. It’s a lot easier to just turn off a 10% buff.

But your completely missing the point of the 30 percent bonus. The faction that has the minority of players in warmode get the 30 percent bonus. Once the horde starts to give up (Like they did on the Broken Shore) then your going to get the 30 percent bonus, and the Alliance only 10 percent.

I have a good computer, so it wasn’t that laggy. Lol. Just slow FPS, nothing unplayable.

Correction: when the numbers were unequal, most Alliance left war mode. The numbers of 120s still favor Horde, but now when they leave war mode they make excuses.

While I cannot speak for your server, I can safely speak for mine.

Prior to 8.1, though in general (i am gonna assume based over a 1 week period seeing how the system goes) the population of horde on WM maybe more than alliance. this is spread over a period of several days mind u. hence there are times when I am with WM on I do encounter situations where there are more alliance than horde, evenly matched groups or Horde out numbering at WQs. But never did once my server the situations was where there was a constant group of horde or alliance camping the WQs of a size of 40 man raids.

But because of how the dev based the data of “population imbalance” on by taking an overall number over a period of 1 week instead of having it retroactive, the situation has cause a swing too large to one side on my server. They should have left it as the status quo.

The choice for WM was solely by the players. i have friends on frostmourne alliance (which is the alliance dominant server my horde server is linked to), and most of them turned off WM just becus they like that way and nothing to do with the faction imbalance. THEY DO NOT WANT TO PVP while doing quest simple as that. It is a result of for the choice of the player. it was never by the game design. The 30% bonus is a seriously dumb approach on many accounts.

horde complains yet ran 40 man raid grps for almost all of BFA killing us and they still outnumber us LOL

Your server doesn’t really matter, sharding/CRZ puts us all together in our regions. With some exception based on RP/Normal server designations. So the overall population is the most logical measuring method. Especially because it’s not just about balancing shards (a completely different beast) but reducing how many overflow shards there are with a bunch of Horde hanging out with no Alliance.

So when you had a massive playerbase difference in Warmode then? Because that’s what it was. Since Darkshore the Horde had outnumbered the Alliance by a long shot and it only got worse. Now there’s incentive for alliance people to actually turn it on once in a blue moon because the reward vs possibly being camped by the superior numbers faction is worth it, and now the horde is losing their minds at being killed and camped.

Pathetic.

Probably complaining more about the fact that Alliance needed an incentive to participate in WPvP, rather than doing it to begin with. You guys have always been the “participation trophy” faction. The 30% buff kinda cements that now.

yep so you say the rewards for alliance are now worth getting camped over…But then call horde pathetic cause they arent willing to get camped with less rewards?

Lol

I keep Warmode on regardless, but yeah it’s kind of funny now that the Horde who has been so vocal about “if you don’t like it turn off Warmode” is finally getting some payback and are now here screaming like children because Blizzard incentivized Alliance enough to overcome being camped to hell.

You’ll have a right to complain when this is a constant four month long slog of misery.

Also kinda funny that the Alliance had to be bribed with a 66% buff to WM rewards in order to participate in WPvP. but, that’s neither here nor there, right?

Oh it’s pathetic. Don’t get me wrong, it’s just funny that the Horde who for so long told people to turn it off if “pvp happened in Warmode” are now the biggest babies.

If you see a 10m Marksman Hunter team in your shard give me a /salute. Then we shall engage in honorable combat and not all just spam sniper shot aimed shot at your raid. Killing 10 horde from 63yds away is fun. #StarcraftGhost Never see me coming.

Because Horde had a free 10% buff since launch and now it’s gone. The tables are even and it is their turn to be demoralized. A lot of us finished our quest on reset. As one who never turns off warmode, glad to have our Alliance out in force. Take away being able to complete the quest in a raid and they will still complain. The game is fine when it is 10-1 Horde advantaged it seems. What you have now is an Alliance that has 4 months of being totally outnumbered and that drives a lot of revenge. I know for a fact it was a great move on Blizzard’s behalf. I really didn’t know what to do about imbalance but a slight buff and a quest did it. The rest is player driven because I am sure most like me found it very frustrating to do anything in the open world. NOW ITS PAYBACK!!

Yeah complaining for 4 months that your own faction wouldn’t turn on warmode…

Also stated 4 months of complaining…so you guys started day 1 like the horde here are apparently.

In a flawed system where one side can get the underdog bonus for having more people on a shard. Compared to you guys whining that there wasn’t enough alliance wanting to pvp. Then to turn it around and throw it in our faces like we are pathetic? Lol
