The Alliance had forgotten and forgiven about Theramore completely. Well, that’s fine I guess - maybe the horde has changed and they’re different now?
Oh, never mind. They showed that they are still capable of starting wars for no reason and wiping out thousands of innocents in the War of Thorns.
And no, last time I checked, Sylvanas didn’t do the whole thing alone. But somehow it’s now portrayed like it.
Most horde NPCs/Members didn’t feel sorry about commiting genocide after it happened, and they still don’t do so. They feel more sorry about themselves now that Sylvanas has abandoned them.
Now that Sylvanas is gone, why does everyone make it seem like other horde members are freed of the burden of commiting genocide against innocents? And why is Anduin so naive to make peace with them without even trying to have some negotiations with them now that apparently the alliance forces aren’t winning on all fronts anymore?
Why did he not atleast ask for an apology and the horde to return the lands to those people that they mercilessly attempted to wipe out for no reason?
So Horde gets rewarded for commiting genocide against innocents by getting to keep the lands, the ressources, the pride and nobody will ever tell them that what they did was wrong?
The least they could’ve done is apologizing and returning the lands, but since they didn’t do that and won’t do so in the future, does it make them any better than Sylvanas if they just keep her legacy?
It’s fine though, apparently we got our revenge against the horde by dropping an undead archer’s HP to 30% in 8.1.
This is the definition of trolling at this point. I’ve never done this before, but I’m going to actually encourage others to simply flag these threads as such.
Edit: I feel it only fair that I elaborate why. For those who don’t know, this poster is also the creator of twelve threads in the past month or two that are all some variant of, “Reaction to Teldrassil and/Dismantle the Horde/Anduin is terrible,”.
These are fair points that do deserve to be discussed. They are being discussed- in the many other threads already going on. Many of which the OP is currently active in.
The constant creation of threads by the exact same poster, bringing up the exact same issues, ignoring discussions going on in similar threads, and in such rapid succession, all contribute to why I defined this thread as extraneous and -to a lesser degree- inflammatory. Blizzard’s flagging system considers that trolling.
How is telling the truth trolling? Also, are the forums not meant for feedback? Where else am I going to provide feedback if not in the official forums?
That aside, I don’t see how it would make you that angry even as a horde player. I didn’t mean to offend anyone with this post, well atleast you’ll got it flagged for now, so congrats I guess
Bruh, the story can’t advance yet because the next patch is not even live.
and if there is something that we now, is that tyrande didn’t signed any preace treaty. So no, they didn’t “get away” yet.
i am fine with theramore forgiven, garrosh is dead, we cannot bring them back and it started the story in kultiras that basically ended now.
Now we need a closure to gilneas and then, teldrassil.
I know that that’s a kind of a cop-out answer, and here on the Story forum, ideally we should solve a problem/answer a question by actually dissecting all relevant material and study it from both in- and out- universe perspective to understand why a character made a certain descision or took a certain action.
The problem is that BFA’s writing runs almost entirely on pure stupid and bothering with trying analyze things only reveals this fact more and more painfully.
EDIT: I should clarify that it’s really just the Faction War/War Campaign quest lines that are truly bad. The stories for the individual questing zones are for example are fine- except where the Faction War intrudes in on them.
Do you think the devs are letting their favorites die? We have seen enough footage of that in 8.1. They wouldn’t even let Nathanos die and THEN sacrifice a Val’kyr to resurrect him because that would’ve looked too much like a victory for the night elves.
She is the night warrior. maybe we get more explanation about this power later on.
and you don’t know either if the alliance isn’t going to help her or not.
unless you are a blizzard dev or velen who can see the future.
Because they were setting it all up ot might not be as good story but sylvy is now a villisn to horde and alliance and when was thd last time a moajor villian survived and expansion. She will die likely next pack and show how death is even more of a threat than void.
I really doubt they will illidan her illidan at least always had redeeming qualites. She has declared both sides are nothing. She has self declared she is evil abd against thrm illidan was just an uncomunicative idiot.
Unless you are a dev at blizz nothing is certain until it happens.
The Forsaken have lost their entire leadership and are being saddled with Alliance-appointed puppets as replacements.
That is a more dire fate than any other race in the game has ever faced, including the Night Elves, who lost a tree and some population in a game where population numbers are meaningless but retain all of their substantial characters.
Truth is not a defense against accusations of trolling. The two words don’t even address the same thing.
Trolling, in these forums, indicates that your post is upsetting, inflammatory or extraneous. You can do all of those things while telling the truth. Now obviously I can’t tell other people whether they find your post upsetting or inflammatory. But, since your post is exactly the same Revissa’s ongoing thread
Oh well, I didn’t quite consider that thread when I made mine. That’s my bad then, but it’s still not trolling imo when I make a post about the current direction of the story being completely dissatisfying for alliance players.
I just wonder if Blizzard really hates night elf fans that much or that it just currently seems like it, but with the horde not even having to give up night elf lands, they have to regret absolutely none of the crimes they have commited.
I get that. I don’t think you made your post for the purpose of annoying or pissing off Horde players and I absolutely am sympathetic to a post whose purpose is to express frustration with the story.
I don’t think there’s a good answer for what you want, if the story adopts the position that an entire Horde army participated in the burning of Teldrassil and it’s an entire Horde army that needs to pay for that crime, you’ll never get justice because the Alliance can’t conquer the Horde so they can’t force the Horde to manacle Zappy-boi and send him to Teldrassil to be executed. Trying only means they’ll fail and I sense you wouldn’t be satisfied by failing to punish the Horde.
