Horde Favoritism?

Cause the Alliance smell bad.

Light forge draenie druids. I keep telling y’all

And how that can be favoritism?

Particularly when Blizz has indicated the long term goal of all races for all classes.

They both got mounts as an extension to said cultures.

Humans are big with horses and trolls are big with dinosaurs which are much more varied than just horses.

I really dont think its a favoritism thing, it just highlights are humans are boring and monsters are more interesting.

They said more classes to more races …
Yet y’all keep interpreting it as All races = All classes.

They specifically said they were working on it but they had some challenges for races that arent inclined to be a certain class, such as Goblin Druids and making lore reasons to justify such an inclusion.

Which is the right call, High elves for example are defined by rejecting elune and embracing the arcane, leading to futher mutations which made them smaller.

Their existance and culture is defined by rejecting elune and naturality by altering it with Arcane.

Its not an easy swap to druid.

Same with night elves and Paladins, there is no exceptions in lore where a paladin doesnt revere something that isnt an embodiment of light or light itself, making Elune ineligible but her brother an’shee in constrast embodies the sun(Light)

That is also what I understood. More classes and races combination, not All classes, all races too, which is why I asked for a source on that.

Well then post the link and the quote directly stating it’s going to be all classes for all races.

As others have said citation is needed.

I’ve heard them say open up more to more, but I haven’t ever heard them say anything like:

  • “Yeahnah we’re making it eventually so every race can be every class. Mechagnome Evoker-boogaloo is coming to YOU!”

Only that they’d be releasing some limitations and bringing some variety …

Oh lahdy. Alliance get one bone for the latest xpac and now all the horde is claiming they’re abandoned. Every single xpac up to this point have been horde focused except legion. I think you can share the spotlight for once.

Are you for real?
The alliance has been the favorite child for every single expansion so far.
All the story has also been retconned to keep the alliance on very high moral ground with 0, absolutely 0 crimes, wrongdoings, etc.

So yeah, alliance favoritism everywhere.

Last 4 you mean.

No it hasn’t Every since Wotlk ended it has been horde horde horde.
Cata was all about Garrosh and Thrall saving the world, or being bad asses. Alliance got nothing of note.
MoP was about Garrosh’s rise to power. Alliance got no story except anduin helping the horde with wrathion. (Oh and varian told tyrande to be patient)
WoD was litterally horde the sequel. This time with more horde member berries. Alliance did nothing of note. Inf act all the draenei content was cut so we could have more Iron Horde.
Legion: Horray finnaly some alliance content. We got elves. And Oh gul’dan is back, thanks garrosh. And we went to argus finally, also theres more tauren for no reason.
BFA: Back to Horde content. Sylvanas needs that villian arc, lets follow her around every single patch and alliance does nothing but take Ls.
Shadowlands: Sylvanas has a pet jailer, lets all weeb for her losing half her soul and being in super hell. Oh yea anduin is there.
DF: horray a token elf patch so they can claim to have a capital city again even though it has no banks, vendors, transmog, barbershop… You know what you also have to share this place with horde.

BFA : Alliance wins every time once the expansion launched

Sylvanas is not Horde content. But we did follow around Tyrande constantly.

So yeah. With Legion and DF.

4 straight expansions of All Alliance All the Time.

Ahahaha that reminded me of closed beta when my alliance priest could shackle undead players for infinity.

Simpler times.

:diamonds: WoD:

Alliance triumph over Shadowmoon Clan with naught but a fraction of their power – without the aid of the Horde … They even sent a small team of 5 murder-hobos to decimate the Shadowmoon Clan’s seat of power and depose of their warchief Ner’Zhul.

  • Embarrassing if you wanted to RP a Shadowmoon orc, since Alliance can just laugh in your face & tell you they steamrolled your clan at the height of their power with ease.

Khadgar & Yrel had far more cinematic value to the overall story than any Horde character had in the expansion, save except Thrall’s Mok’gora with Garrosh. Especially with the Talador cinematic with Blackhand.

:diamonds: Legion:

Most orderhalls were far more Alliance themed than Horde themed.
Not even remotely up for debate there.

  • “TyRaNdE I NEEED yOu!”

Additionally, the main heroes you had confronting the Legion on Argus; who had major key-roles and individual stories were all of Alliance-races.

:diamonds: BFA:

Despite Blizzard arguing against Horde players protesting they didn’t want to be vilified again to the coming expansion and that it would be ‘Morally grey’ — The burning of Teldrassil very much depicted that the Horde were the bad guys and the Alliance were the victims.

  • Aside from the war with ‘Azeroth’s wounds!’ – The Speaker of Azeroth was who again? That’s right, the former king of Ironforge …

Additionally, the Alliance canonically won the 4th war along with ALL warfronts.

:diamonds: Shadowlands:

Given Sylvanas ditched the Horde, the main person who was confronting her?
Tyrande Whisperwind.

  • Baine literally got dropped like a turd, being told his spirit was lacking — Despite being told that he was the most spiritual of his people. After that he literally went and sat in the corner of Oribos for the majority of the expansion.
  • Thrall was useless.
  • Tyrande had a full on questline tangent, which had actual current & future relevance as opposed to the lackluster storyline of Vol’jin.

And the one who got the seals needed for the Jailor and was the one with the highest ‘spirit of potential’ ?? … Anduin Wrynn.

:diamonds: Dragonflight:

The Emerald Dream along with Amirdrassil was heavily Night-Elf focussed.

Ultimately — Like seriously, the idea that every recent expansion has been “Horde focussed” is crazy. lol

AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA OHOHOHOHOHOHO

Off screen. Horde gets to flex and be shown to be badass with everything. But then we get to read off screen how the alliance actually won arathi. Oh no the horde actually won darkshore, look at this mission table! Pathetic.
What story did alliance have for Uldir? None. Nothing. There is zero breadcrumb or story beat. Its a horde story. alliance were allowed to participate in.

Yes it is. Its a horde racial leader even if you decide she isn’t all of a sudden. There are still loyalists, and sylva stilled penned fan mail back to the people who retook undercity.

Legion is barely alliance content. Its Legion content. Its just alliance leaning for a change.
Same with DF. Like most things in this game, it has to be horde friendly. We can’t have anything nice.

I think it is just easier to think up of different ways to introduce the different classes for the horde. To me The way the races were created/developed in Warcraft/WoW has the Alliance rather strict on what they’d be willing to accept.

I still laugh at the idea of Alliance being super chill with what are basically super forsaken but since they didn’t come from Lordaeron they’re okay with DKs joining the Alliance. This was made even more humorus when doing the BFA quests and everyone is all upset with the undead kul’trian being welcomed back and I’m the one who saved him on my Death Knight.

I fully understand why people want all classes all races but there are going to be a lot of dumb ones for how the game/story has been up to the point it happens.

God can you please learn how to properly use bullet points, concise wording and proper punctuation?

This is literally a wall text. Makes my eyes bleed.

You mean the alliance made the incursion in the first Horde controlled zone and even destroyed a Horde civilian town in the Barrens, and caused the Taurens to make a wall to close the entrance to Thunder Bluff?

Can you elaborate what was “all about” Garrosh in Cataclysm for you as alliance player?

Thrall had left the Horde, so, too bad for you, not a good argument.

Bad storywriting for our leadership, our warchief gone crazy, befriended an ill-intended Black Dragon named Wrathion who convinced him to go all out of War with the alliance with the goal of wiping them out of the existence so the Horde would be able to beat the Legion (he did the same with the alliance).

Jaina committing genocide on Blood Elves in Dalaran, killing civilians was even retconned recently in chronicles v3.

In addition, alliance just raided Orgrimmar and both endings shows Varian giving an ultimatum that he would destroy the horde.

Very horde centric /s :man_facepalming:

WoD was nothing for me as a Horde Player. Even being alternate versions of the OG Horde they were not the same people so who cares. You can take this home if you want, homie.

You literally got back the rest of the Sons of Lothar, with Turallyon and Alleria back.
Also everything being led by a human (Khadgar), night elf (Illidan) and a Draenei (Vellen).
Again, very horde centric…

You even got a re-color of our Blood Elves.

Lmao the Horde didn’t have a SINGLE victory. We lost BOTH warfronts and again our Warchief is out mad and we have to work as a rebellions.

Even things that we called “win” that was the alliance invading a sovereign kingdom of Zandalar and killing a sovereign King without ANY threatening, plus had civilians like Talanji and Zul imprisoned in Stormwind for absolutely no reason… everything got retconned by the recent chronicles v3.

And how does that even make Shadowlands a horde centric expansion?
Everyone is out there helping save the night elf souls in the maw/thorgast, helping find Tyrande and even to save her from the Night Warrior curse.

Bolvar’s daughter, Taelia gaining some screentime? Is she Horde or did I forget it?

Didn’t you just get a new World tree for the Night elves, that is literally part of campaign from the very beginning of the expansion and the peak of the 3rd season / raid tier of this expansion?

Didn’t you just get even the Horde to help get Gilneas back?
I haven’t got my Undercity back or even the Goblin’s home back… so, another one for the alliance here?
