I think it’s the 2nd option. Most Alliance just don’t care. They’re defeatist. Most don’t show up to win the game, they show up to get rep, many just afk, and almost none play to get objectives.
Meanwhile Horde have just waited 2+hours to get into a game and are determined to win. Most of those 40 are not going to afk, they’re going to aggressively get every objective they can and squeeze every bit of honor out of the game that’s possible.
Its 2 very different mindsets that the sides have bought into fully. It’s really not any wonder why Alliance lose so much, but some decide to blame the map and not their players and mindset.
You do see that idiot that posts pretty much every day about pugs boycotting BGs. That one dude. The one that gets shot down by both sides on the regular.
You’re an idiot if you think only Horde are complaining about premades, and those players are shot down by players on the Horde and the Alliance, so your strawman doesn’t work here.
Lmao. Youve got some issues with reading comprehension if you took any of that from what I said.
I just explained why Alliance tend to be miserable in AV, and told you players from both sides complain about premades.
I premaded myself while ranking, which is why I haven’t needed to step foot in AV in months. I think if you’re having issues with premades you need to find one yourself. Tell me how thats raging or crying. IMO you’re probably just a super low quality troll.
Oh you mean the imbalances that don’t affect the EU or CN servers because their players queue BGs to play BGs instead of giving up before it starts?
Its an issue of Alliance giving up before the game starts because they believe they can’t win. This doesn’t happen with AB/WSG because it’s far harder to get decent honor/rep AFKing in AB and WSG. Saying entire REGIONS haven’t figured out 15 year old content to justify your view is just… well it’s a very Alliance like view.
At the very least all the players saying the map is fine have a chance to put up or shut up. They can even use these master winning strats they’ve shared with us.
That chance would require people to play it, and if there is zero reward for something that will likely take much longer than the original? Doubt it will see much use if any.
Different regions have different play styles and different issues. That doesn’t means the problems aren’t there, they just are uncovered more by certain play styles.
I see a lot of threads created on regular with people complaining about premades. Most of them claiming they don’t pvp for the rewards, they do it to have fun. They can’t have their fun with the current pre vs pug ratio. Could be smoke, or they could be genuine. If genuine, seen enough to fill half a team already.
Generally it’s a rush vs rush, which gives the alliance a decent chance to win. Both sides finish games quickly with decent rep and honor and there are few queues.
In the NA region horde turtles at the north edge of the field of strife. They take SHB and SFGY, get double rezzes from IBGY and SFGY, kill LTs in the area, and summon their ice lord. Then they push until the game ends.
The turtle strat is very effective because of the BG design and it’s difficult to push past it and hold anything unless it can be converted into a rush vs rush. The end result is high alliance losses, long queues for the horde, and low rep and honor gains for alliance.
Somehow the different regions have developed different play styles. It’s difficult to change this for many reasons. For example, in NA horde queues increased at some point so the turtle strat became much more favorable. This increased horde queues further and now that strat is wedged. If Horde went to a rush strat then they’d lose a bit more but their queues would go down, giving them more games per hour.
However, that would be a high-order decision which is very difficult for a mob to take. Groups that don’t have a coordinating authority tend to make very immediate, short-term decisions and not plan for the future.
There is no way a 99% win rate for the horde is related to start positions. The good alliance players don’t waste their time on AV. Where as the horde still do. This is really what it comes down to when forming the pvp meta. Also the alliance generally have a terrible attitude and more botters overall.
