Bad players, the sorts of players that see an even win rate and throw a one month tantrum until Blizz makes changes so they have a 100% win rate. The sorts of players that would rather sit in queues for 2 hours for a one hour long win that is enjoyable for nobody rather than play 4-5 competitive games in that time.
The sorts of players that stack wpvp servers so they can say they faced the danger of being on a pvp server when in honesty they haven’t faced pvp without outnumbering the enemy 2:1 or worse in weeks.
The sorts of players that have spent the last months whining about WSG/AB Alliance premades because they refuse to work with a team themselves but think they deserve welfare epix anyway.
The AV win rate was only even because of Alliance pre-made dodging (IE. Griefing their own faction and having games start 15v40) and AFKing (when Horde played defensively and cut into Alliance HPH).
Both factions did this.
Also remember how the majority of phase 2 complaints were Alliance whining about not being able to get to PvE content on their PvP server? So much whining that Blizzard released BGs ahead of schedule.
So, Alliance pre-mades weren’t dodging? Tell that to the Alliance that complained about it. I never once stated the Alliance caused the bug only that the Alliance exploited it to the detriment of their own faction. This is why it became so visible and why Blizzard had to take action.
Blizz taking action would be fixing the bug, and no more.
Everything they did after that was soley at Horde’s urging because Horde would rather sit in queues for hours not pvping to get a guaranteed win with no effort, than have to actually pvp for your honour.
That’s where we are now- in a game where Alliance that want to pvp can, and Horde sit in queues and do all they can to dodge a challenge. There’s no challenge in wpvp because you stacked servers, no challenge in AV because you threw a tantrum until Blizz gave you 100% win rates, and you’re still crying for premades to get booted from AB/WSG.
Talking about dodging when that’s all your faction does is hilarious. Everything Horde has done in game and asked for on the forums has been aimed at making it so Horde have to pvp less- whether by stacking factions or pushing your queue times up- at the reward of having pvp being less challenging- like it is in AV or wpvp.
Avoiding a challenge at all costs is all you guys ever do.
Reference Alliance instant queues, and the ease of which it is to find wpvp when we want it. If alliance want pvp at any point, it’s on demand because we took the hit of weaker racials and lower population.
Horde want to pvp so bad you went out of your way to avoid it at all costs in wpvp, and now would rather sit in hours of queues to face AFKers in AV.
Not hard to figure out who wants pvp more- probably the ones that’d rather pvp than spend most of their time in queues.
Go ahead though, keep bragging about how much effort it took to sit around doing nothing for two hours and how that makes you a great pvper.
Alliance ignoring that they literally dominated av in OG vanilla for a full decade+, even when it used the exact fame map as now. Doubly so ironic when the primary HORDE talking point back then was the “Alliance terrain advantage” in AV.
Also people in this thread ignoring that the single most imbalanced bg historically from a win /loss ratio faction perspective, was none other than Stand of Ancients…a map where both factions alternate the same starting positions. Horde absolutely crushed that map to the point where it was their highest win rate.
Faction balance concerns are the far larger things to worry about rather than map balance concerns… That said, simply plugging ALL OF THE terrain exploits (back door dun Baldir, water fall climb frost wolf keep, climb the gy side in wsg) would do wonders… For av specifically, just give the marshals a scaling buff for their respective boss (so they have to die before boss) and make them ALL leash with Vann/Drek when pulled out of the room (and respawn if split off and killed from the main boss)
I honestly don’t know why people bother trying to talk to the horde, If their spawn point was in Vans room they would still argue that the map is fair, and in fact to the alliances advantage. poor play is the reason we lose.
We literally have threads in this forum of Alliance complaining about Horde camping in Ironforge. A group of less than 15 Horde holding a flight point hostage in an Alliance capital with nearly 100 Alliance just sitting at the bank.
Ignore that Alliance whined incessantly about wPvP in phase 2, even when servers were more balanced, because they couldn’t get into BRM to do PvE stuff. Ignore that Blizzard released BGs early because of these complaints. Ignore that Alliance are still complaining about the AV map but only really started complaining about it after Blizzard cut pre-mades, which by the way was not a unilateral change. Blizzard fixed it so no one could queue as a group, not just Alliance.
You can act smug about Horde queues all you want but you’re only perpetuating the stereotype about Alliance being professional victims.
You can tell yourself if that helps but that’s not how it went down. There’s a perfectly rational explanation and its got nothing to do with horde favoritism.
