Horde bg q's are 50mins

Blizzard let the streamers grind out their honor and afterwards nerfed the honor per hour to the ground. Streamers didn’t want competition in arena because they are scared. They also didn’t want to put in the work. Blizzard wanted more views on twitch. More views more subs more money. Heard this from my friend who competes regionally every season.

Ask any streamer how long it took them to grind their pvp set. Disgusting bias Blizzard.

Lol @ the amount of petty, spiteful alliance players in this thread, really living up to the reputation that the younger(or at least less mature) crowd tends to prefer ally. Plenty of people who play Horde have played it FOREVER, dating back to original TBC and therefore prefer to keep doing just that…somehow that means we deserve to be “punished” with hour+ long ques lol? Some of you are clearly incredibly salty (still) from early in classic and cant see past your own biases and emotions. Plenty of veteran players are also no strangers to having played both factions over their time spent playing the game, and some still do even now.

FYI keeping up the petty attitude of “horde deserves it” or “reroll alliance”(which isnt even a valid or realistic solution given huge amounts of horde would have to do so in order for it to actually matter…and then theres the whole abandoning thousands upon thousands of hours of time as well as leaving friends/guilds to reroll starting with nothing…would most ally do the same to reroll horde? Didnt think so.) and being opposed to any actual solutions is only going to make a lose-lose situation worse for both sides, but probably worse for ally(especially those on horde dominated Pvp servers). Between the abysmal honor rates and que times, its not going to be long before horde on those heavily horde dominant servers start to realize its legitimately better to just farm HKs in the open world and itll be phase 2 all over again. I play on a server thats very balanced so personally it wont effect me, but youve gotta realize youre only going to end up spiting yourself. A solution (i.e mercenary BGs) is something that would only make playing the game more enjoyable for both sides, which is why being opposed to supporting such a solution is petty and childish. But hey, maybe being petty is worth that much to some of you that you dont care if playing the game in the open world becomes Phase 2 all over again for you as long as it means horde have to suffer longer que times.

At the end of the day the real issue is most people who dont like PvP, have tended to gravitate to playing Alliance and nothing is going to change that, there is by no means a lack of alliance players in Classic though. So outside of a mass reroll of tens and tens of thousands of horde PvPers, the problem isnt going anywhere and if anything will only get worse for both sides, some type of intervention/change by Blizzard needs to be made to make playing the game more enjoyable for BOTH sides. If you dont support such a solution and want to be petty, then dont go crying when its Phase 2 all over again in the open world and simply trying to play the game is miserable.

Queues for BGs now over 1hr on my battlegroup. We need mecenary mode.

lmao all the horde streamers buying exploited s2 gear yeah def screw horde

tissue?

Like I get it man - I’m sorry that an overwhelming amount of you guys chose to bandwagon to a single faction and you’re now suffering for it. I wish yall would have been wiser and had thought of this in advance, but the bandwagon mentality means people don’t always do so. It sucks. I’m sorry.

What is not okay is pushing for a solution that will further damage my faction in order to alleviate an issue that was caused by massive bandwagoning to your faction. You lose me when your answer to your bad decision is to further harm people on my side.

At this point Blizzard should consider opening up faction transfers Horde to Alliance. It would help balance out the queue times and it would also help solve an issue effecting Alliance players (being overwhelmingly outnumbered on most pvp servers).

You see that’s the difference between you and I. I want a solution that would help both sides. Horde have been pushing for a solution that would help their side at the detriment of mine.

No thanks

We need mercenary mode. Literally no reason not to. Would bring horde queues down and not effect alliance ones.

I’ve explained this already. You are right that it would not bring the Alliance queue timers down - it would just give even more incentive for everybody to bandwagon Horde even more. It would 100% negatively effect Alliance because it would lead to MORE Horde players and LESS Alliance players. It would lead to World of HordeCraft - even more ghost town Alliance towns because EVERYBODY would be playing / switch to Horde.

AvH is better than HvH. We need solutions that incentivize more faction balance, not less.

55% Alliance 45% Horde total pop thanks for the bump

Stop trolling - you have no Blizzard sources to cite on this. Otherwise you would have provided it 5 posts ago

Thanks for the bump

It’s going to remove many alliance too while most horde will still need to grind honor gear. So it will likely get worse if anything.

That is true. Will get worse as ally gets finished with gear. we need mercenary mode.

Or horde will just have to corpse camp in teh open world.

In all seriousness though - making Horde v Horde BGs WOULD negatively effect Alliance though. It would drive more players to go Horde, causing a further exodus of remaining Alliance PVP players.

I agree that hour long queue’s have got to suck. It also sucks that without fail I know that every raid entrance is going to be camped by a mountain of Horde on my server, effectively blocking me from raiding in an efficient manner. It also sucks that I know that every time I want to do a dungeon it is going to require every person manually running to the entrance, possibly dying multiple times along the way, because there’s always 15+ Horde blocking every summoning stone. It also sucks that I’m never going to be able to hold the 5% damage bonus from Outland pvp tower for any reasonable amount of time because the moment that a single tower goes from red to grey I’m going to get swarmed by 30+ level 70s.

Why don’t we just help each other. Let’s push for H -> A faction changes from Blizzard. Having more players on my side would help out queue times and it would also make doing literally anything out in the world not as suicidal as it currently is for my side. Win win ya?

– I listed a number of negative traits that are currently effecting Alliance pvpers. The queue times are currently the negative trait that is effecting Horde pvpers. It sure would be nice if you guys would help us solve this issue. If your rebuttal to my complaints about issues I face is to “git gud” like most other Horde players retort, then it’s going to be a little difficult for any of us to feel any sorrow for the complaints that you guys face.

queues over an hour now. Need mercenary please. No downside to alliance queues. Only upside to horde ones.

Well I think Merc mode is redic but a faction change option would be ideal. It would move more horde over to alliance which would create a balance in world pvp, bgs, arenas, PvE and dungeons. The only thing that threads this game together is the social aspect and being able to find players to play with. Now obv alliance has less players so they are at a disadvantage and horde have too much which makes it frustrating for BGs. A faction change would help both sides. This wouldn’t hurt the game in any way as it was an option from WOTLK and no one complained about it then.

Once Arenas get going people won’t even be doing BGs much except for fun. This entire debate is much ado about nothing.

You’ll get that in wrath, as you so aptly pointed out.

Yes but a faction change wasn’t implemented because it was related to a WoTLK theme. It was added as a service to balance the two sides. A player problem is a Blizzard problem because the WoW players are customers. We are not union workers

There isn’t a problem.

There’s an inconvenience caused by players. A problem was a busted AV map resulting in horde win rates at 99% for more than a year and a half.

It also never got fixed.

Not to mention 9.1 release was just announced for June 29, meaning many of the tourists will be going back to Retail.
