Is it weird that I was expecting the Alliance to be the ones that would demand #changes and would get them? Yet instead the Horde has complained their way into making massive sweeping non-vanilla like changes to the queue system.
This isn’t how it was supposed to be lads, we weren’t supposed to be ashamed of playing Horde until TBClassic when the BEs quite literally take over everything from that point forward. Why did you do this? Why did you dig this grave of shame and Queue times for the rest of the horde and force us to lie in it you whiny lot? I never asked for this and I have 3 AV exalted horde 60s.
Why did you betray both the Horde and Vanilla WoW with #changes? Don’t try and deflect this by saying it’s Blizz’s fault, you asked for it, you absolutely helped make this happen. What is your malfunction?
I 100% agree with this entire post. You can see from my posts i have equal reactions to the Alliance players still at it asking for more changes to WSG.
Literally I want to know as well. What is thier malfunctions?
As long as self entitled average joes from suburbia roam this planet there will be whinging, complaining and ultimately changes to support this behaviour.
Even during Vanilla Horde were the #changes faction that cried for every advantage.
Just look at boats vs zeppelins. Horde started with the advantage there- being able to change continents without even flagging since UC/Org are connected and both Horde zones. Still, they cried about camping and got buffed up guards to protect zeps.
Alliance didn’t get those same guards for boats- even in Vanilla, Horde needed every advantage possible, and Blizz was fond of making clearly biased changes like that because Blizz devs were all playing Horde.
This is an insane level of rewriting history going on.
For anyone who wants to know the actual truth, the prevailing wisdom in Vanilla was that all the Devs played Ally, which was why Ally was so heavily favored by them. Furthermore, almost all changes later made were to address Alliance players QQ, as one specific example, the changes made to the cave, which Allies are now once again crying about.
As another example, the moment Horde got Paladins, they made bubble able to be dispelled.
It’s funny how history repeats itself. Ally have a huge imbalance in their favor, and once they lose it, non-stop QQ and asking for nerfs on horde.
I find it funny how you think having caves that start players so they meet in the middle of the map- rather than 2/3rds of the way towards the Alliance base- is a ‘huge imbalance for Alliance’.
I’m just waiting for them to announce server merger because god knows it’s almost impossible to find people to group with when lvling on almost all servers
Hey, this will be the third thing I’ve corrected your blatant misinformation on now. Do you have complete disregard for the truth? All of this info was taken from someone else, but if you actually listen to the video, it confirms that only Chris Metzen played Alliance - every other member of the dev teams played Horde.
"Google Episode #63 – The Making Of World Of Warcraft With Vanilla Dev, John Staats and skip to the part at 3:24:50
QUOTE From the Dev himself
“Blizzard dev team 1 and team 2, EVERYONE was for the horde, EVERYONE”
UNQUOTE
In that interview a former Vanilla WoW developer admits that everyone at Blizzard was for the Horde.
The only outlier was Metzen who played Paladins but the overwhelming majority of the main Blizzard dev teams were all totally for the Horde."
Seriously, what’s actually wrong with you? You spread blatant lies in any attempt to defame alliance who are attempting to actually have legitimate discussions. Disappointing.
I just listened the part of the podcast you demanded I check out.
You butchered the context. In fact, right after that quote he mentions how Humans design in outfits outnumbered horde 10 to 1. And how they put way more time into starting zones for Alliance than they did Horde.
The funny part is when you take the full context of the quote, not only does it have nothing to do with ‘faction bias’ related to balance, the summation of the statement is that ALLIANCE was favored, despite more people playing horde because it’s easier to think about Human stuff than non-human. You know, since the developers are humans IRL.
How come every time one of these Trump-like posters tries a gotcha it’s always out of context bull they didn’t even themselves read/listen to? And you call me a liar. LMAO.
So now I’m going to need you to address why you lied to make this argument.
This discussion was not about aesthetics, nor quest design, nor anything with the role-playing aspects of the game. No one doubts that the clothing looks better on Alliance - but this stuff was all made prior to when the devs were actually playing the game - when they were creating and testing it.
When it comes to balance changes made throughout the productionalized life-cycle of the game, which is what we’re discussing here, the devs were all playing Horde except for Metzen. This provides basis for the whole “balance changes favor the horde” thing that we very much did see in Vanilla and are discussing here (guards on Zeppelins even though horde-controlled zones, guards never got added to boats, etc).
You’re really trying to twist truths and sensationalize people with bringing politics into this - I won’t bite. I’m keeping things entirely logical, unlike the man you named.
Regardless, the fact is that you literally said someone else was rewriting history by saying “devs played Horde” and you claimed that the devs played Alliance. I empirically proved that all devs except one played horde, which by definition makes you a liar. I, on the other hand, did not lie whatsoever.
Your quote and context had nothing to do with balances. You intentionally cherry picked a quote to present a false narrative to further your agenda. That is by definition twisting truths and sensationalism.
That’s what you did. And you attempted to falsely paint me a liar with it.
You should feel bad and you should be banned from the forums for it. I won’t make the mistake of engaging with you again.
