Horde and alliance dracthyr

Ok I made both horde and alliance dracthyr and I have to say the reception of the horde was a lot friendlier then the alliance.

The Alliance ‘ave taken ye in but don’t mean all of us like yeh.

I think yer alright though

Deathwing left a more lasting impact on Stormwind then he did on Orgrimmar.

Yuh Stormwind doesn’t like Dragons or tbh beast like species in general

Then explain Gnomes. We’ll wait.

Lore-wise this does make sense though. The Horde has always been more accepting of races that differ vastly from humans. Humans like what’s comfortable and familiar, and what’s comfortable and familiar are things that look and act at least similar to them. They tolerate worgen because it’s a curse upon a human, and they barely tolerate it.

looks at history of alliance and black dragons

Yeah that checks out

They’re humans suffering from a curse also in canon at first they weren’t so accepting when you created your Worgen in Cataclysm and were saved by the Night Elves technically lore wise your not apart of the Alliance yet officially.

Hm, looking at it like that it’d have probably been better if Blood elves and Night Elves were swapped. Then again I guess that was the point of allied races. God, how did all this just fall apart? Or maybe it didn’t and I’m simply overanalyzing the most basic of things.

Well the alliance hates every race that doesn’t look like a variation of human. Although even Elves didn’t escape their hatred. I mean they literally enslaved almost every race.
Sort of a not-so-subtle metaphor Blizzard based the faction on a coalition of former slave masters who are obsessed with race.

Well the Alliance had a total of 2 dragons try to corrupt the government and one of them also destroyed half the city so…

Drakthyr would probably have been more accepted in Stormwind if the Alliance had gotten Sethrak instead of diaper gnomes as an allied race.

The Dragons didn’t exactly ingratiate themselves with the Alliance when Deathwing’s kids almost burnt Stormwind down, twice.

Come to think of it, the dragons were never friendly towards the Alliance as a whole. They kind of crapped on the Night Elves during the War of the Shifting Sands and didn’t help the Wild Hammers take back Grim Batol.

Funny enough, that concept was played with by giving the alliance Void elves and horde Nightborne.

course now I’m thinking if Night elves and Blood elves swapped and we still got Void Elves and Nightborne as Allied races later in WoW’s life, would they have been given to the other faction or stayed as is currently? Ugh, why is WoW lore like a Gordian Knot to me?

Because instead of gaining allies normally, World of Warcraft just randomly throws crap at the wall and sees what happens to stick at the time.

Can you blame them though? Night Elves were the reason they had to leave the Dragon Isles and due to butterfly effect helped Neltharion create the Dragon Soul.

Yes. They’re the Aspects in charge of protecting Azeroth. Where were they when Ashara started becoming side chick to Sargeras?
