Its sailed away from you, maybe check out the PTR.
Disagree they could give disengage another charge, they could add in more self healing. They could do lots of things.

I have, as I have told you previously. MM on the PTR still has a pet that they use.
But they need to make it comparable to this “OP taunt” that you are claiming SV and BM have. So they’d need to add enough healing to trivialize all encounters, by your own metric. Instead of pocket tank, MM would have a pocket healer
NO… Hunters are a pet class and removing pets from MM goes against that. Even if they think a fake eagle effect will make people think that they still have pets. It is just hijacking MM for a Ranger class/spec and needs to be completely separate. Bliz is missing the boat on the idea of a new Ranger class (not hunter related) they could sell with the next expansion.
Keeping Ranger as a separate hero class would appease the Sylvanas fanboys and get them out of MM hunter’s yard.
Yea that would of been a good option. I thought they would add dark ranger in shadowlands but nothing happened.
It seems like tinker is the next class so i dont think its going to happen maybe demon hunter might have a ranger spec.
I understand you like pets, i just understand why they are reworking MM because they want it to play differently to BM and that MM has been unpopular for a while. You can never rework a spec and keep everybody happy. I use to main survival hunter in MOP
I think wow could do with a ranger class over MM as it is in its unpopular state in my opinion.
So OP in content that most consider a joke/not relevant/not worthwhile/etc.
It is just sounding like some of the anti-pet crowd is arguing in bad faith because if solo content is supposed to be a joke, who cares if something is OP in it? who does it affect? If group content is where balance should be, go all out in that.
Some of the issue is Blizzard can’t, nor should, try to balance solo content with group content, but lean more into the idea of talent load outs for different content.
If they have to keep the ranger attached to the hunter, use the hero talents. There is a good chance that that MM that go sentinel would be happy with being able to choose to go pet less or are more likely to want the pet aided combat (though to me, sentinel makes more sense as the MM/BM hero and Dark Ranger as the MM/SV one).
Just to note that the two primary Elven Rangers as depicted in the game are melee/ranged skirmishers that could keep their own at a distance, and then close in for effective melee damage. Sylvannas would DW, while Alleria used her bow as a staff. We saw something roughly like this in SoD where hunters were encouraged to melee weave in and out of melee to get optimal damage.
It’s certainly something they were testing the grounds on months ago.
Solo content is a big part of the future of wow, its naive to think blizzard wont be looking at the solo capacities\playstyle of specs.
It might be, and likely is, but as long as some push the idea that solo content does not matter, and should not be the focus, any arguments about things being OP in it just come across like “we don’t care if you can’t do solo content as your preferred spec, you don’t matter, only our content matters”
In essence, as long as some push the narrative that solo content is not important, we will run into the idea that “if it is not important, let us BE OP in it and weaker to the point of balanced in group content”
Besides, I also brought up the idea of different talent load outs for different content, ones like me would likely choose talents that would make the pet key for solo content, but go pet less in group content, what is the point of different loadouts but to maximize the ability for the content they are made for?
I strongly suspect this business is the outgrowth of another “dark mirror” situation with some dev.
It doesnt matter what some people think its what blizzard thinks so i just completely disagree with your conclusion.
The game has been designed around casual play for 20 years or reading comprehension? Either way, wrong.
WoW actually was designed to be more casual, that’s one of the reason why it took off. It was far more casual and player friendly than its contempories of the time - EverQuest and FF11, where questing solo was essentially impossible.
So much of WoW’s early version were far more approachable and player friendly by the standards of the time, and the game has kept much of those approaches in play over the years. So yes, it has been - and it’s gotten better too.
Furthermore, there were RP realms from the very start, where nameing conventions were actually enforced and GMs had to act, in character, when answering tickets.
That hasn’t been my experience testing at all.
Difference of opinion I guess. I don’t think spamming anything makes for smooth gameplay.
It is WAY to early to suggest stat allocations. lol. Relax.
I assume you have a source for these claims?
You think the balancing and spec design of this MMO is based around solo individuals doing basic quests? Really? Like, really?!
It was at the start, and it has continued to be a part of the gameplay experience. If they didn’t care about quests and solo content, then they wouldn’t continue to place it into the game. That transmog exists is one such nod to the RP community, alongside multiple ‘appearance only’ items added to the game.
RP is getting a marquee feature before Midnight - housing.
I keep hearing this argument. MM, sans pet, is capable of soloing any casual content. There are ranged classes in this game with way less mob control than MM that solo just fine. It’s been that way since vanilla.
There will be zero content in this game that is designed for solo players that MM won’t be able to handle without a pet. Zero.
That isn’t what I said. You’ve been doing this in a LOT of threads. Twisting words to fit your narrative. Let me repeat it and see if you can be honest with both the community and yourself.
Spec design and balancing in this mmo are NOT based around solo content. It never has been. It never will be. This isn’t Skyrim.
Why did Warrior get Victory Rush?
Why did Warlock get Summoning Stone? lol. MM has one of the best solo kits in the game even without a pet. Binding, Bursting, Concussive, Intimidation, Freezing Trap, Tar Trap, Disengage, Turtle, Various speed boosts.
It’s one thing to miss your pet when you are rping as a hunter. I totally get that. 100%. It is completely and utterly disingenuous to pretend MM is going to have a tough time soloing content. It’s a fiction. A bad one. It is an argument that has not a single shred of merit.
