Hope Tuesdays are not your day off

You can forget playing anymore until much later in the evening on tuesday anymore. This really is the sad state of beta testing for a live retail game.

honestly you are rushing content to put in mediocre code.

think twice, program once.

It’s so cute how unable to cope with downtime people are. You literally agreed to this when you accepted the ToS.

Most SaaS companies are able to run weekly maintenance on the weekends–WoW cannot.

They ABSOLUTELY need to improve communication and learn the concept of underpromise/overdeliver, but the fact that so many people are so bent out of shape about downtime that they inherently accepted in the ToS is beyond sad.

Go do something else. You will be okay.

Tuesdays are the days that I come to the forums looking for new posts. #Winning

It’s a little early for popcorn, so I just went with a joint. It makes all this wailing and gnashing of teeth even more humorous.

Blizzard apologists are hilarious to me.

Yeah true, criticizing their complete inability to effectively communicate is certainly me being a blizz apologist.

Go shave your neckbeared and touch some grass. You’ll be better for it, I promise.

Almost as hilarious as the ragelords losing their minds over maintenance that they literally agreed to and then complained about after.

Go off, Karen. I’m here for it.

I’m not unable to cope with downtime…I just don’t like being told it will be from 7-9, then see it get relisted as 7-10, then see it from 7-11 knowing that they might still extend it once again…and yes my only day off is Tuesdays until November so sitting around finding things to do when we have such nice days outside is crazy! My wife is mad that I’m playing golf every Tuesday now and spending another $200 or more each month. She said she wished I went back to playing WOW all day but I can’t!!

In that case, I can’t BELIEVE they didn’t just change maintenance to Wednesdays for you!

Yes, their communication is trash and they should just default to saying 12pm PST and surprise us when it’s not.

The communication is an issue; the maintenance is not.

Is Tuesday the only day you can play? There are a 168 hours in a week. Maybe 4 to 10 of those the game is down. So at most about 16% of time is unavailable. That means you have 84+ percent of the week to play. Or about 150+ hours to find time to play. If you have nothing else in your life to fill that 16% you might have a problem.

I agree! Too much time golfing on Tuesdays while the weather is nice…they should make it Wednesdays for me so that I have NO excuse to go outside

if you think i’m somehow up in arms over this. I’m telling them to do better. they have gotten monumentally worse over the last few years. It’s noticeable. I don’t really need your high horse whine to tell me I can’t complain. And TOS is purposely misleading to always favor the company.

I can play every evening…I just like to spam these kind of posts and talk about how much time I have to go outside on Tuesdays!! WINNING

Most of the U.S. is at work during maintenance, so it’s not like anyone is missing out on prime gameplay

If your off Tuesday / WFH / stealing company time or whatever random excuse well I mean sorry to bad.

Blizzard had to pick a day Tuesday it is and has been. So either pack your bags to another game if that’s the breaking point or wait.

Maintenance used to be a full 8 hours, what?

The problem is that the entitled playerbase of this game is the actual real-life example of “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”.

They made the mistake of making it faster most of the time, and now people can’t cope when it goes long.

These forum threads are hilarious. Half the community getting mad that maintenance was extended and half grilling the other half about them complaining. Either way, Blizzard has been doing this for years and most people are sick and tired of it. They are continuing to push maintenance every week with multiple maintenance periods throughout the week when new content is released. Yes… it sucks. Yes… we are pissed. Get off your high horse and stop grilling people for complaining about something that should have been under control at this point. With the amount of money that Blizzard is making on the daily, they can most definitely get these maintenance times down or atleast within the window that they have scheduled.

I plan around the time that Blizzard states in their launcher to go find other things to do when they announce downtime. However, when they extend it consistently it makes me ask why not just say it will be down longer; then have it come up early.

I can plan around 2, 4, 6, 8 hours or more but when I do and then when I get done with that and expect it to be up, I can’t just go back to doing what I planned on because it’s done. There isn’t anything else to do but then sit around waiting patiently.

But if you tell me its 2, 4, 6, 8 hours or more and you get it up before then I might have missed some game time, I am able to play when you specified originally on top of getting something else done in life that needed.

I have the week off. Gotta use the remaining PTOs.
