Honor transfer tax

Seriously?! I got on today and was gonna transfer 11K honor to my mage to completely gear her. I transfer it and it was barely over 9K?!

Why is it that with warbands it was supposed to be so much easier to have account wide sharing of resources, and it is, EXCEPT for honor? No other currency that I can see has any kind of tax on it so WHY PvP, the game mode that very few play anyway?

Sorry just salty and had to rant.

what about that transaction wasn’t easier than buying honor tokens from a vendor and mailing them over

There’s no other currency that has a tax and why have the tax in the first place? With warbands it was supposed to make sharing resources faster and easier. An honor tax is completely unnecessary and wasted about an hour of time spent in BG’s.

It’s simply disrespecting my time as a player when warbands was supposed to respect player’s time more. Guess not if you’re a PvP’r.

Shadowlands stuff did.

Honor also did back when it was a vendor item.

Encouragement to play the char who needs it.

We’ve sort of peaked in terms of pvp gearing, though.

Excuses. There’s no need for a tax. It’s just disrespectful. I don’t care how things used to be. Warbands were supposed to improve these systems. As it currently stands no other currency (even gold) is taxed.

Ya there is a tax and yes i think its a dumb thing to have.

Yeah well I was GOING to play my character I was transferring to but now I don’t have enough for a full set and therefore don’t want to play it. GG.

Alright, so play your main and transfer the currency.

I also agree that having a tax on the transfer just seems like silly friction for no good reason.

They could not have the tax, too.
Very weird of them to only tax PVP currency

Currencies that are related to player power have tax and always have had

This is the most 5 year old stomping your feet response i’ve ever seen in my life. Actually grow the **** up you literal child my god.

You don’t want to play your mage because instead of being fully geared you’ll be missing 2 pieces of gear? You can’t just grind out those last 3 pieces on your mage? What is wrong with you man.

Redistribute the taxes to the honor-poor!

Whining about a non-issue.
You didn’t earn it on the toon you sent it to so there should be a tax.

It’s to disincentivise and curb you just farming on one character. Why? Because fun police.

Blizzard still thinks pvp is a mini game, every currency is 100% transfered to your alt, execpt pvp honor

Insane to say there “SHOULD” be a tax. There’s no reason to tax players for not going in to random bgs and pvp content practically naked on an alt.

Also “didn’t earn it on that toon” has been done away with heavily, like extremely heavily. I can mount a glad drake at 20 bro. Relax.

I mean, the currency tax doesn’t really make any sense. We all know that it’s just a gimmick meant to increase the time-played metrics. It’s not really fair to go off on the OP for being annoyed about something that’s basically pointless. Let’s try to be a bit more understanding.

That said, it’s equally silly to get overly upset about a smallish currency tax. You were going to play the game either way, weren’t you? What’s earning another 2k Honor, whether on your main or on an alt? While I can agree with the underlying point about the currency tax, I cannot support the overly dramatic behaviour over the loss of a mere 2k Honor out of 11k Honor.

Does it suck? Yes. Should we throw a tantrum over it? No.
