We all know the stats? Yet every single mage BIS list has it way higher than tier 1/tier 2? Why because this has been tested for 13 years. Its been theorycrafted and actually tested during actual vanilla in 2004 and still today.
Do you think that amount of int is more valuable than that much more SP or makes it on par? Because if that is the case, I have been arguing with someone with no knowledge of the game.
I was referring to the rank 14 gear being Naxx quality… however your terrible idea of capping it at 11 would negate that. Capping pvp at 11 is just a bad idea

I already said above you just put the original stats on rank 14 then update the stats during the AQ release. I actually agree that BGs and the honor system should be in earlier, capping ranks at 11 just isn’t the solution.

It’s a temporary cap during Phase 1 and the cap will be raised to Rank 14 with BWL.
My idea was if you get to Rank 11, you simply don’t go up but you CAN decay.

the other thing I think blizzard needs to consider is that getting to ranks 11-14 is going to take a while for people. So even if they release the system 2 months prior to bwl people won’t get to the higher end gear until bwl is actually released. Even if you’re standing 1 each week it’s still going to tank 5-7 weeks to get rank 11
People right after 60 will spam Q the dungeons on their BiS list. MC will be puggable by level 60s within the first couple months. PuGs in all green fire resist gear full clear MC in 2-3 hours. Old School Vanilla guilds dedicated days and days of progression and then off-days were used farming mats for more progression. This is not the case anymore.
Because of this, endgame without PvP will feel stale in Classic. The MANY people that are coming back to be PvP-centric are going to have their passions thwarted by the LACK of PvP for the first (x) months of Classic. Even raiding Southshore, as repetitive as that is, HAS NO REWARDS BECAUSE NO HONOR SYSTEM.

Vanilla didn’t foster fast anything. Certainly it didn’t foster fast ranking to honor pvp pieces. If they can handle phasing of raids and dungeons, they should also phase the pvp gear/systems. I am in no hurry. I want to savor Classic for the treasure Vanilla was.
I see no reason to not release the honor system on day one. Let people reach GM and HWL on day 1 (or by week 6, whatever is possible). Let people start farming their HKs and honor. If I kill an equal level alliance while leveling, why shouldn’t that be tracked and kept in my lifetime HKs?
Just don’t give rewards until later patches (in line with raid content and adding in BGs). I remember in vanilla a troll shaman who was rank 11 with a black war raptor before WSG was release. He was always around XR while I was questing helping save our NPCs. There was an honor system and rewards in vanilla, simply move pvp rewards (title and bg rewards) to phase 2.
The question should be when to add in gear and the bgs. Not whether or not the pvp honor system exists.
