Honor Rate Increase with Content Unlock -- Thur. Jan 27 at 3:00 p.m. PST

If you still don’t have season 2 gear are you actually a pvper?

Still super annoyed by this change, since the token change most tier has gone for 2k-5k per piece for people chasing “pvp” gear just to stay hardstuck 1500. Such a stupid change, shouldn’t have put T5 tokens in for season 2 yet.

Yea its way annoying to get in and have zero chance. Its like sending a pro NFL football team in against high school team… Its no competition, its a massacre.

Your fault for supporting gdkp.

I went into this season honor capped. Yes, I’d say I’m a PvPer even though I don’t do arena.

so join a soft reserve pug

This comment comes off as profoundly ignorant given the state of realm balance across the board.

As someone who played alliance throughout classic era, where horde basically won almost every single AV game at a rate of ~99%, forgive me for not being able to summon my sympathies. I grinded the entire reputation on losses, not even a single win…

Eh, they are all outdated items as if this phase in the expansion. I don’t think it really means much which is easier to obtain anymore.

Plus the biggest upgrades for most players, the weapons, still require actually taking part in PvP content.

PvE BiS gear lists should never be taken as gospel, just because an item is listed on them doesn’t mean you absolutely have to get it. There’s usually far too many factors to really use them as anything more than a guideline.

There’s plenty of other viable gear from PvE content right now that they can work for (and it’ll be even more true when the last two phases are released – especially the badge gear updates).

Plus, the min/max raiders are just a small percent of players. PvP gear should be treated as optional for these raiders; if they don’t care for PvP, then they can (and should) ignore it.

Grobbulus. :upside_down_face:

And yeah, I wonder if boosting the value of wpvp dailies was their way of saying people should have somewhere that promotes them. Or a desire to make this activity relevant again. It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if CRZ comes next, because they realize servers are hopelessly tipped.

Also, I have personally suggested a fresh pvp realm with a controlled 50/50 split or no worse than 60/40 guaranteed, as have others.

That means you weren’t there when AV came out in classic I’m sure.
Becaues alliance was literally controlling AV and farming horde players in the cave for weeks until they were all done with their rep.

I mean, go ahead and maintain that haughty disposition for as long as you can, Grobbulus is very actively following suit becoming “one-factionized” so if you don’t want to eat your words eventually I’d maybe take a moment to consider the suggestion that everyone should just “move” if things aren’t hot where they are.

I’m pretty sure Ruroki was casually mentioning specifically to a Faerlina horde and friends that they could go to Grobbulus for World PVP objectives. Which would help the balance there not hurt it.

Plus you replied but completely ignored this part of the post (this is something that I have always supported as well):

That’s why I didn’t respond to it, it’s a reasonable suggestion so I have no words to employ.

I will however clap back at “suggestions” to other players along the line of “just transfer” as if players are somehow obligated to pony up more $$ in order to get what they are supposed to get from the game they play simply because their server organically died or the population got warped.

That’s fair, I’m not much into paying Blizzard for transfers either, or how Blizzard has handled the servers.

So…why hasn’t the Season 1 non-set Armor been updated to reflect the changes in cost made for Season 1 set gear?

It has. The mark cost was cut in half.

Hrm…I think I paged over the ‘Marshal’ non-set…The boots I saw were for 17k, and matched the name (EDIT: I swear!) of as Season 1’s gear. :X

EDIT: I may also just be really blind… >_>

EDIT2: Ooookay, why does AtlasLoot say a Gladiator’s Greatsword costs 9563 honor. But the vendor in wants 19k honor. Jesus Christ. Are there no devs out there that know how to make a fun game anymore? 21 fracking hours to get a 2hand. ((And they wonder why people are AFKing in BGs. ))

Just do Terokkar daily + BG daily everyday and you will get it eventually. There’s no point to rush it if you don’t enjoy doing BGs.

Do a few and stop once it gets boring. Repeat everyday. Honestly, the changes are REALLY good.

I’m liking them. e

I’m just looking to get the SP Mace for tanking as I pretty much gave up raiding after the raid size reduction that TBC brought.

And if the original was ~34k honor. YA, I like the changes too. But I feel like the devs don’t actually watch BGs. If they did, they’d know (I hope) that grinding a 15 to 20 min AV (which is the best Honor/h) to get somewhere around 300-400 honor (because, hurray, Alliance auto-lose BGs it seems) is not fun. ((This is why people are AFKing in them.))

…and, of course, what chance do you have in Arena, when your glove (as an example) has something like 16 resilience…and the opposing team (in S2 or better) has 36. Never mind the increased stats.

So, I’m pretty much stuck with BGs and the occasional PVE quest for Honor (I’m on Pagle…I think we have some Horde, but they’re listed on the Endangered Faction List <3).

It [honor requirements] should be scaled so that 10 BG losses, averaging 200 honor each, is enough to get a Glove, Belt, Boot, Wrist, Cloak; 20 for the Chest, Helm, Leggings. So, wins would would basically be about double the honor.

((Note: This is only for the ‘for honor purchase’ Season gear…so S1 gear atm.))

It’s like Blizzard balances the Honor Requirements around ‘if you win every match’. Which is fine. …if you actually do win most of the time.

((I think a good change would be if the quest that rewards those crates completed just because ‘you where there’. And had a decently high chance of giving Honor Tokens…probably like ZG Tokens, but BoP, worth maybe 50 honor each…drop count 1-5.))

…because this is not fun. But it’s also a near-requirement.

The upside is you just need to farm 17 800 honor. If you are not in a hurry, just doing daily quest (929 honor) + terrokar forest daily (929 honor) + honor from daily BG (roughly 150 on average) and honor from kill (roughly 100 on average) - you are looking at 2 100 honor per day and that’s with playing 1h00 everyday. You will obtain the weapon in 8 to 9 days.

Yea AV is a snooze fest but it’s good honor. You should probably try and get some games this week-end to benefit from AV week-end bonus honor. On a side note, you should be winning roughly 50 % of your BGs.

To be honest, the difference between S1 and S2 gear isn’t major. There is one, but that shouldn’t hold you back that much. The major downside is farming all the S1 gear takes a while (if you include S3 off pieces and trinket).

I disagree with that, with the reduced mark cost on S3 off-piece and no marks for S1 gear, you can pretty much spam AV and do your daily quest. Once you have extra marks, you can turn them in for 600+ honor and bingo.

The honor grind isn’t fun, I will give you that. That being said, most of the grind in MMO are not fun. The rep grind isn’t fun either :stuck_out_tongue:
