You must not be playing pvp as much.
I can tell you from my pov it’s the exact opposite.
Horde in WSG avoid fights and goes for the flag while alliance is controling the mid.
In AB horde doesn’t even know what defense means.
And when you combine both bgs and call it EOTS horde is just confused as **** and doesn’t know what to do all together.
And yes, I am playing “some” pvp on 3 toons, became high warlord on one of them before AQ40 launch. (on Whitemane, not on a low pop server, think that’s important to mention)
I’ve seen it all.
I know from back in the day that it was in balance somewhat, because horde players were also decent. (I was alliance back then)
But now horde is just not the same anymore.
And just to comment on the AV thing directly. AV was and with tbc even more so is alliance sided. ESPECIALLY after the nerfs they’ve done to the backdoor rush.
Not that horde in classic ever used it with me trying to tell them a thousand times.
Back then alliance COULD NOT win AV without defending, now it’s the opposite because the new horde players didn’t know nor didn’t want to know about backdoor rush.
Do you think that Drek or Vann should be easily killed with 2 warmasters still up? How about 3? how about 4?
Answer or go away. My point is that the BG should be balanced around it ending with 4 towers down a majority of the time. Blizz has balanced AV NPCs this way in the past. we know how it is supposed to be. I’m right, and if you disagree, its purely out of serving yourself more marks
Its probably less alliance sided right now than it should be since horde can steal wins by zerging the boss down without the base towers down. Either way, both factions could be getting 150+ more honor per game if the games lasted 2 minutes longer.
Regardless, i don’t care about winning. I want the games to stop ending prematurely.
I wish actual raw Honor gains went up.
It’s like 250 honor per BG ~15-20m per BG.
I need 20,000 to get Spell Damage Mace, as I am prot paladin.
That’s ~100 BG’s. ughhhh. I hate PvP. No way I am getting this done.
Looked at A52 pvp vendor…honor is so useless. It’s all Arena Points for new gear… So, might as well buff Honor gains massively to allow newer players to get Tier 4 equivalent PvP gear rather quickly.
No, it won’t. But it looks cool. And if something is cool, you want it, and if you get it, it makes your gameplay experience a lot more enjoyable. And it’s extra 40 spell damage & some extra stam.
But me earning this mace, or anyone else earning A4 set won’t make a difference for the majority of active PvP’ers, as all of them are running in A5 and shortly will have A6.
If you really want the mace then get whichever marks you need and then queue AV for the honor. Follow the crowd and you probably won’t have much actual PVP to deal with.
Well, yeah if you put in a little effort and have a pvp spec, bg’s can actually be fun. Going in there as a Prot Pally you get to do no damage, no healing, and basically get ignored until everyone else is dead. I imagine that’s no fun at all.
I just put on my healing gear before heading up to the boss. As a prot paladin in pve there is zero reason to not have a holy set on the side to switch out.
Yes, the direct grind could have been improved for sure, but it wasn’t. Instead, dailies are wonderful now, gotta adapt.
I check timers on terokkar at login, then go off to hellfire/nagrand, do bgs until I win the daily. Then generally stop and do the same on an alt. Enough days of it…I have a nice pile of honor without really noticing.
If your server is too imbalanced for wpvp objectives to turn consistently, consider moving elsewhere. It’s how things should be.
Are you going to fix your supposed pre-made matching system so that it does that? Because right now, 90% of WSG games are against premades. I have had the same premade back to back after a 1 minute que, so the idea they’re having to wait is a complete lie. I even fought an alliance premade last night… as alliance.
