You need to be better at reading the room, if your team isn’t playing D they probably don’t want you potentially creating a turtle.
Sorry dude I think this is extremely harsh. Assuming you afked 100% of the AV games over the weekend there’s no way you can grind that much Honor.
If they have the logs to see what games you afked in they also know which games you participated in or met whatever secret metric they have to differentiate afkers from participating.
In any case it seems like a lazy action from the GMs which is now the common way of action in Blizzard. Do the least possible to get money out of you. Are your marks still there? Did your arena points get messed with as well ?

Well “Cheating” Can also be people having RL stuff happen. You need to afk for 1-4 min a few times during 100s of games. It happens people have life happening. AV is also designed to have people play different roles like defending bunkers which is actually important to win/lose the match.
I think the way blizzard detects afkers is flawed, I have seen people that play 90% of their games in a legit way get banned. Should you get all of your Honor wiped for that 10%? I think the punishment should be proportional to the offense.
Meanwhile bots, exploiters, gold sellers/buyers go mostly unpunished.

odd, statistically, OP is an outlier. Marked by what we call “Special-cause variation”. which tells me your common-cause explanation does not address what happened here.

The reason people call BS on cases like this is because of history. There have been so many cases over the years of people crying fowl only to have a blue come in and do a mic drop on them.
You may indeed get reported for going to the bathroom occasionally or some other emergency that comes up. However, if that’s happening enough you are getting hit with the ban hammer you probably should take a look at how you are handling your playtime. It’s not like AV’s last 3-4 hours now.

If you are dumb enough to not afk out then that’s their problem. While ranking I rather afked out instead of getting banned because of opening the door. Some people are just beyond stupid, read the rules, don’t make yourself a target.
I disagree. This gives all the Alliance sitting at Noob Hill something to do.
I have the full honor set and weapons, so you can imagine how many BGs I’ve played. I’ve also never been suspended or had my honor reset because I don’t cheat. I don’t record anything because I have nothing to worry about.
Tried the whole “appealing a few times” thing and my 2nd appeal got immediately canceled. At a complete loss here. I can already tell i’ll get flamed here and no one will believe me but damn getting banned and losing 100k honor between two toons is awful. No botting, no afking (outside grabbing a water or something before game starts - but always coming back to help).
Honestly makes me never want to play again.

imagine running straight from the starting cave to dreks room and then QQing about having your honor wiped. AFKing in dreks room for the first 5+ minutes of the game is not “defending”. gg

I believe you. It happened to me as well. Banned for sitting in Iceblood and Tower Point towers all AV bonus weekend, to hold them until they burned before Drek pull.
Apparently people were mass reporting those defenders as afk and the automated system flagged it and did the 8 day ban + honor wipe. There were some games where the horde didn’t attack, so it could have looked like the defenders were afk.
Just a stupid system.

I am fine with honour wipe, but my brother 5000 conquest is also gone. The timing of the ban seems intentional to make him hate the game.
Toxic BG reporting system, hopefully Microsoft will save us this garbage.
