Honor levels

How am i supposed to get any honor levels if i’m averaging less than 350 per battelground?

Merc. Quicker queues, bonus honor. Some say you lose more as Alliance, but it’s not so bad tbh.

I think most of my lvls are from alts and the quests that you get every season

Time travel back to Legion where you could do PvE quests for it.

Some classes had daily auto-completes that many players used for PvP. I know some players put together a team of alts that were farming those auto-completes, even though it wasn’t clear until close to the end that honor would later become account-wide.

I did a lot of warden towers throughout. I also made sure that 7 of my bears got the baby blue skin. Only one character got up to Prestige 20 prior to the announcement.

After that I started running 10 druids and 5 rogues through 3 free for all PvP quests a day. There definitely was PvP happening there. I got up to honor level 253 by the prepatch.

Most of my honor in BfA came from low level (solo twink) and legion capped bgs. I did a lot of bgs.

What’s the issue here? Just play bgs and the honor will come, it’s not rocket science.

People are claiming “people exploited back in Legion” or “people cheated”, but that’s not what I’m seeing in the real world/on the ground.

Last time I saw them over the weekend, there was a dude at like 1083 honor level and another guy with 932 honor level. Their “secret”? They are regulars and play bgs every day (or most days).

…now, if you are one of these PvE’ers/raid logger types that only plays like 1-2 bgs per month, then yes - it will take forever if not be impossible to ever get anywhere as far as honor level goes.

It’s just simple math… if you’re allergic to PvP and only play like 1 bg per month (I know I’m exaggerating, but you get my point) you’re gonna be waiting a long long long time.

I honestly think this is because they are letting wpvp experiences bleed into their bg ones. Lumping them together.
Cause I honestly don’t see that issue.

Wow…

It wasn’t a cheat or exploit it was just insanely easy in legion. I barely played legion and all my honor levels are from that basically :joy:

Didn’t they remove the bonus honor incentive from merc mode? It’s only there for faster queues now.

@ OP: Play alliance.

Basically it’s almost 9k honor per level and you only get 300 honor per seems like it’d take forever

Ah yea, they did.

Sorry, I should have clarified earlier… you get the most honor points for winning bgs consistently. If you lose a lot then yeah, it’s a real slog at 300-400 honor per game.

I have toons on both factions, and these are the numbers I’ve noticed as far as honor points go (just ball-park figures off the top of my head):

Alliance little bg win = 700-850ish honor points
Alliance epic bg win = 1100-2000ish honor points

Horde little bg win = 500-600(ish) honor points
Horde epic bg win = 800-1300ish honor points

Losses vary wildly so I don’t have any guess-timates for honor earned from losses. Can be as low as like 250 honor points to as high as 650ish (in Alliance epics).

Alliance bgs are very good for farming honor… IF you can get wins, which isn’t always easy.

I’ve legit seen upwards of 1800-2000ish honor points from the longer Alliance epic bg wins (the ones that went like 40 minutes or more). The regular-length Alliance epic bgs seem to give a consistent 1100-1200ish per win.

Hope this helps.

I’ve seen a person like this running around BGs.
They had barely any BG achievements.

Hard to believe that somebody who spams battlegrounds all day doesn’t even have a quarter of the BG achievements done, including max reputations - which is the biggest tip off.

There was indeed 1-2 exploits people abused during BFA to get honor levels.
The amount of people who’d be up that high legit are so minimal that it’s pretty easy to check if it’s legit or not.

Not saying there aren’t legit people that high; I know of a couple myself, but if somebody went up 500+ levels over the course of BFA, I’d be highly suspicious. Especially if it was done in a short period of time.

idk, I’m personally just a bit salty because I was prestige capped in Legion on a single character, but didn’t have multiple alts so I wound up being surpassed by people who didn’t even do many battlegrounds to begin with, so I tend to snoop harder than I should when I see ridiculous numbers.

If you say so, I personally run into these guys a couple times a week… they are just playing bgs, no “exploit” that I see other than having multiple alts :man_shrugging:

I guess a lot of people are just lazy these days, they don’t want to work for anything and just want everything handed to em’ for free

The TL;DR answer to the OP’s question is basically “just play bgs”… but apparently people find such a simple explanation hard to believe :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Apparently, according to these forums, there is some magical “secret” or “exploit” - it’s simply not possible to earn honor levels any other way :man_facepalming:

They said honor levels that quickly, not honor levels in general.
As someone who has played fairly regularly on pvp all xpac, I am just now hitting 250 honor level from doing bgs and things all xpac.
A lot of people and I do mean a lot, farmed honor at the murloc pvp wq and then do it on alts as well sometimes.

Going off my experience I lost a bg on horde which was less than 300 honor and won a WSG on alli only got 350. So I’d have to do about 6k bgs to get to 200 honor levels. Maybe epic bgs help and maybe the numbers could be higher just seems like honor could be given out a bit more (seems like one of the biggest grinds in the game) and this is coming from someone who is at 317 honor lvl and does a lot of arena (worst way to get honor). I’ve seen guys who are high up but doesn’t seem very friendly to start and seems like a very very long grind. Also I’m legion it was absurdly easier get honor levels with the world Pvp events in legion before they got nerfed going into BFA and generally just easier. So it’s a big difference and why you see people talking about legion a lot.

I don’t see how it’s different than any other grind in the game to be honest…

Want a very high raider io score? Have to run lots of high keys.

Want a high arena rating? Gotta play lots of arenas.

Want a high honor level? Have to play lots of bgs.

Want 400 mounts? Have to grind em out from old content.

Want Crashin’ Thrashin’ title? Have to farm toys.

And so on and so on. Anything that’s worth getting will take some time and investment on the part of the player, nothing is free.

I think the honor level grind is just way longer than any of the other things you listed tbh. By tome you can get 2400+ and get good you might be able to get 500 honor level. My point is it’s a longer grind than anything else

Have to agree with this. Helps if you have alts and get the bonus honor from 1st win of the day.
