Honeyback Harvester Still Faction Locked

Exactly, so much this.

Zoom out a little. This isn’t just about mounts, this is about any time Alliance players have been denied something or another and told to reroll Horde if they want it, among which mounts are only a single example.

As for the recolors, I’m personally in favor of going much deeper on faction uniqueness. Remove Alliance’s access to the recolors if that makes things fair. Neither faction should give an all-access pass in this game, because that encourages population lopsidedness.

I’m honestly surprised this went live, given that we Alliance can ride Child of Torcali and Kuafon. Don’t worry, though: they’ll probably fix this in 9.3 or 10.3 or maybe 11.3.

My biggest question is this. We likely still have one major patch to go before BfA ends. There is nothing stopping Blizzard for giving the Horde a faction locked model with 8.3. Are these same players defending the Bee mount exclusiveness going to have the same mindset if the Horde get one?

I wish Blizzard had more clear that this is a racial/faction-only mount. Just state outright that it’s a Kul’Tiran flying mount available for Alliance players.

We already have over 100 racial/faction-specific mounts for each faction. It would be nothing new.

I’m just as entitled to tame and release as they are to burn an insanely rare spawn they just announced in general chat in 15 seconds.

You call it trolling, I call it getting revenge. An eye for an eye.

Soundless has a MUCH shorter respawn time than Rockweed Shambler. - Source? The person who literally spent 12 hours a day in Nazjatar killing Algae Elementals non stop for almost 4 weeks in a raid group, and saw Soundless up 3+ times every time in that time.

So try again.

And no. It’s not the same thing. The “exclusive” questline mounts may be usable by Alliance once completed on a Horde toon, but Alliance also don’t HAVE any “exclusive” questline mounts. Any Alliance questline mounts have a direct Horde counterpart, and completing them on an Alliance toon automatically grants you the Horde counterpart. E.G.: Grand Gryphon in Krasarang Wilds grants you the Grand Wyvern, or the Nazjatar Bodyguard mount quest grants you the Horde bodyguard mount.

As such, there is no direct comparison to Kua’fon or Child of Torcali.

Likewise, there’s one Horde-only faction with no direct Alliance counterpart:

How would you have reacted had this faction been given a mount in 8.2.5? Would you be outraged right now that the Horde have been given ANOTHER unique mount instead of the Alliance?

Or would you be demanding that the Alliance be able to use it?

Or would you, like the Alliance are right now, be telling YOU, like we are right now, that faction mounts have 99% of the time, been faction locked. There are only 1 or 2 faction mounts that are not faction locked.

I want my season 1 Gladiator mount across my account but that’ll never happen. It just sits there rotting away on a Paladin I never play.

That’s one thing I never understood with that. When I see a Gladiator mount I know that this player is a really great PvP player so why is it character restricted. Even though I will never have a Gladiator mount myself I wish Blizzard would loosen those restrictions on you guys that earn it so you can use it across your account and show it off. To this day the Armored Netherwing Drake is one of my all time favorite mounts and would like to see more of them flying around.

The only unique mounts that are faction locked are faction themed, please tell me what the Bee has that is alliance based (other than the zone, cant use this argument because horde zone mounts are usable by alliance)
It’s simply too unique for it to be locked, if it had a flag coming out the butt that was blue /red or correlating armor, OK, faction WINS!
But it doesn’t, its a extremely unique mount and everyone should have it, regardless of what any faction says.

This is in cateogry (imo) with mythic raid boss mounts : Extremely unique, only one place to get, and EVERYONE CAN RIDE IT.
it saddens me people playing the game actually want ‘revenge’ in terms of content. WoW players have thier own sickness.

stop separating each other in a video game for a mount, makes you look 6 at the oldest

Gee, it’s almost like a faction of giant bees that you only befriend because of a Kul Tiran might actually be faction based. gasp

Were you also complaining when Alliance only got Horses when you got cool mounts?

Then I guess Blizzard need to make Kua’fon and Torcali faction locked. Ally players don’t interact with Pa’ku or Torcali but can use their mounts.

Ironic, when this was you just yesterday:

You think you want to grind jellies for the bee mount… but you dont.

TBH I play more Alliance than Horde these days, 100% fine with Blizzard giving a big, meaty mount grind like this to the Horde, even if it’s locked to Horde toons.

It’s not a big deal.

I’m not rushing to get the mount myself since I have only one 120 ally toon. I would gladly do a Horde version grind to get one since its the main faction that I play. Or if the faction lock is removed I would quickly do the Bee grind to use on my Horde toons.

Yeah, exactly. I am a little surprised that they didn’t do dual faction-locked mounts for 8.2.5, since the bee rep HAS given the Alliance additional dailies and content that the Horde doesn’t have . . . but w/e, Blizzard.

There’s a reason I play both, I guess.

Alliance finally gets a cool mount and people still complain about it.

Only if they’re whisky jellies :stuck_out_tongue:

Those do not involve a faction. They are quest related.

You really don’t understand how this game works, do you?

If there was a faction you gained rep with while doing the quests, I’d agree. But you do not. If there was a “Pa’ku” rep or “Torcali” rep, it’d be a different matter.
