Honestly I don't see the appeal in Wrath anymore

you hit 80 in less than a week, i imagine nothing in your life feels special anymore, maybe your heart trying to work overtime but i mean sheesh

Its true, these guys act like its nothing to hit 80 so quick and pretend they have a wife and kids, career but really they are no-lifeing it and getting burnt out

It’s really not that hard haha, I played a BM hunter in full Brutal and I was melting mobs like butter. I also had a Bear pet which swipes and does AoE + Thunderstomp so I was tanking like 5 mobs at a time and just running through quests.

It also helps that this is really old content that i’ve done while I was back in College so I remember a good bit of the quests and where to go.

And you think Shadowlands was balanced? At least in Wrath most things are viable and skill is a major factor.

Yeah I can’t deny Wrath is a skill based expansion, SL kinda fell apart for me which is why I quit it. I just hated the gear grind.

I am losing interest pretty quick. Im about halfway through 72 and did most of BT, ran nexus, and now a good chunk into Dragonblight. No RDF makes forming groups a painful experience.

Got 4 days left on sub. Good chance I won’t renew. IF they add RDF in the future might give it another shot.

Now imagine getting that toon to 80 and deciding you want an alt haha, it’s going to be the same exact thing again without RDF. Either hard questing all over with heirlooms which is gonna take a while to get a full set anyways or alternative is just sitting through those AoE dungeon grinds.

Yo… youre boring.

The door is always there for people like you.

WoW is awesome. It’s a game. Has boundaries, i.e. a finite amount of content. Just b/c it’s an MMORPG doesn’t mean it’s designed to last forever for everyone. I played when it came out in 2004 and just came back to it. Literally started the same exact character. I just enjoy the world, the community, the nonsense, the grind, whatever. But it’s not going to feed you forever unless you find enjoyment in playing the game in whatever iteration it presently exists. Make alts. Maximize skills. Help newbies. There’s always stuff to do in a multiplayer online world like this. Not realistic to expect endless upward progression in any game. Good times and good luck!

This is 100% comical. Cata was the first expansion I took a break from.

Well. Best of luck finding either retail or something else to do. Good luck.

This is Grade A cope, see you in a few days

Well that is something new and different.

People win traded every big pvp event. WG, TB and even Ashran.

It just happens

Get your honour and get I to arena if you want to avoid win trading at least it gets banned there

The balance is better than retail (it also doesn’t change every x months so your main doesn’t arbitrarily become bad/good overnight)

-Vast zones
-Amazing questlines
-Interesting character archs
-The best raids of any expansion in any game ever
-One of the most engaging arena experiences

I’m sorry you’re unhappy with your experience, but WOTLK is almost unanimously agreed upon to be the best WoW expansion.

It’s okay for you to disagree. Personal preference is subjective.

As an aside, I would love it if Dragonflight is a huge success, but considering the last two WoW expansions and the feedback Blizz is getting from beta testers for Dragonflight, in combination with the rushing of the release to buy more yachts, I don’t expect that said success will happen.

pretty easy to get burnt out when you hit level 80 in less than a week

Its hard making a post like this as you know people wont give great feedback on it. I admire you for posting it though.

I’ve had similar feelings but it started with the release of TBC. I wanted classic whole heartedly. And I would have loved to see it go straight to Classic+. However no, blizzard took the easy route, and released TBC, and now wrath. And here we are in the same boat as before, where you’re just edging closer and closer to the thing this community loves to hate Retail… People lust for the time when your “gear mattered” and “community and making a name for yourself mattered” etc. etc. but yet all the grinding you did, all the gear you got becomes obsolete yet again, and you just jump right back on the treadmill, being so proud of yourself playing classic when all it is, is just baby steps back to retail. To be clear I actually do enjoy retail, but I know this community despises it for one thing or another.

I find it pretty comical at this point. Truly I’m not that stoked for wrath, though I will play it. The reason is because wrath is actually relatively fresh in my mind from when it was released originally so there is no mystery for me, its all been played, discovered, items were had, OP comps were made and sure I guess I’ll do it again while waiting to see what dragonflight offers thats new.

The honor grind isnt bad. Its the arena one thats trash. If you dont get 2200 in the first season, you spend the rest of the game getting farmed by people in god gear that are pretty much unkillable. That coupled with healers becoming unkillable gods, its really just a horrible experience that I think most people either forgot, or didnt have to experience because they were in the god gear themselves(most likely paid for a carry).

-Community can be ridiculously toxic or super cool. Theres some really great people that Ive had a blast talking to, and then theres the idiots sitting in LFG right now trying to put together heroic groups already and demanding everyone be geared to the max. My biggest gripe with the community is that(before wotlk release) 90% of LFG runs are GDKP or ‘must be geared to the moon’. Very very few parties in between. The gatekeeping is going to be horrendous when the raids come in wraith. Blizz needs to put RDF in to take the power away from these horrible monsters. Literally the only reason so many of these people are being extremely vocal against it is because they want to keep controlling the servers with their scamming gdkp runs or ‘must be geared runs’ to keep new players from ever catching up

-The lack of xp buffs to get people caught up to 70 is complete BS. Leveling is a nightmare and now with wraith out, there are absolutely no parties whatsoever for any of the dungeons. I had to abandon all of my alts because my only option is questing which takes 900 years at this xp rate.
