Wrath is probably the closest they’ve gotten to balanced classes for pvp in classic. More viable arena comps than tbc hands down.
It’s an MMO and all your grievances seem to carry across all MMOs. I do hope you find a game you are capable of enjoying.

Dragonflight is shadowlands reskinned (per my beta experience). If you didnt like SL you probably will hate DF.

I mean there’s plenty of people who hit 80 that do enjoy it, I don’t think it’s wrong to realize the grind is kinda insane after you do hit 80, not everyone will think the same.
I think MoP was far more balanced, I would even say Cata too. My only problem is having to do PvE just to PvP, I get some specs can get away with it but I main hunter and later on MM falls off if I don’t stick to some form of raiding to get my ArP pieces.
But I appreciate it, I know other MMOs are the same. I hope I do find something!

When you played the beta, how did PvP gearing work? Is it similar to like SL Season 1?

I stated that we have gotten to in classic. If we want to talk about best expansion for pvpers it was WoD hands down. Though I agree MoP was great because every single class had Atleast one broken spec.
Who knows if classic will ever get there though.

This is true! A lot of games and even IRL shows/products feed off nostalgia.

Ill try to keep this short
What I’m reading here is you power leveled to 80, probably now a bit exhausted from that alone, and are now realizing you are playing an older version of the game…
The same issues with retail are actually prevelant in classic “tbc” your case in particular… You just grinded in TBC, raided, and now realize all that gear and time are wasted and you are about to do it again in WOTLK…
That is why I skipped TBC and am here for WOTLK because I couldn’t stomach putting in that much work into TBC for it to become “useless”. Warglaives mean nothing anymore, where’s the sense of accomplishment in that?
I’ll enjoy WOTLK this time around because I’m playing it for nostalgia purposes and I simply can’t find the appeal in retail due to the once a year, rinse and repeat cycle of content/progress… After WOTLK if there isn’t some sort of classic + release that keeps your gear and character relevant, I’d suspect many will be dropping ship like myself, but that’s just my opinion and everyone has one.

It’s a nice feeling and I admittedly love going nostalgia diving once in a while. Just have to make sure you don’t get lost to it and have it run your life.
