Homophobia is officially non-canon in the Warcraft universe

Too bad. Politics is in literally everything. And I’m sorry, but since when did respecting other people become a political issue? Yall are ridiculous.

Homophobia has no place in this game or in the world, period.

How does including a gay couple mean there are not homophobes on Azeroth?
The game and lore has bigots, racists, nationalists, and sexist people already (also undead who hate everyone), so it would only make sense that there are homophobes as well.

Maybe there’s a reason?

I just asked a normal question since you are quick to label folks. Didn’t expect this aggressive response from you.

It’s also a marketing tactic when they cater to ya’ll but ya’ll don’t make a peep then. Funny that.

Also there’s lgbt working at blizz.

I remember back in Burning Crusade, I rolled a Blood Elf Paladin. Joined a Blood Elf RP guild. Homosexuality was a crime and if you were found out as gay, you were brainwashed like those elves in the bazaar to be straight. Why did this happen? Because people believed Blood Elves, as a dying race, would go to those lengths. I don’t think that guild was necessarily homophobic (the guild leader actually was gay and IC it was known but never spoken about that the character was gay and had several lovers), but you can get the idea where homophobia can creep into the game from players’ personal interpretations.

Granted that RP guild was one hell of a trip. I only stuck around about a month before heading back to the Alliance.

Only when it fits their ANTI agenda, Nillah.

Maybe there’s a reason?

On classic with all the nationalists we actually reported someone for not being racist, she got muted for 24hours

Not enough. Why arbitrarily say there’s no bigotry in Azeroth, but allow racism to remain a thing? Why are all demons evil? Why are all Old Gods and their minions evil? Why do all Horde Orcs attack Alliance on sight. Not  Every  Orc  Is  Evil.

It was more “tired eye roll” than aggressive.

Seriously this isn’t something that I should be having to teach people.

Do we really need to care about it in a game? This game is everyone not for your sexuality.

That’s just abuse of the report tool though. At least we can see a reason this guy is getting reported.

So why should it be about only your preference then? Why not everyone else’s?

Also, since when was this a rule?

Anybody who doesn’t want politics in games seriously needs to stop playing games with story in them.

Stories are inherently reflections of real life.

we had many good conversations before in Civil manner hence I decided to ask because people have different definitions. Didn’t expect you to react hostile.

Not always true but we don’t need to hear what happens in your bedroom in a game.

It doesn’t mention or imply anywhere in the twitter and wowhead posts that Homophobia in the warcraft universe it not canon.

This is a gaslighting thread.

Errr… anyone think of a fantasy universe where homophobia is canon?

Applauded of course it just seems like a really weird way to say it

No.

That poster is the one shoving politics into this issue and trying to hide their actions by blaming the people they’re attacking.
