Warcraft as a universe has always been ahead of us socially. It’s not GoT, it uses medieval tropes but it also has motorcycles and aliens and selfie cameras. There would be no story benefit to making LGBT people feel hated in their fantasy game, too.
Truly nobody blinks if you like the same gender or not on Azeroth. That feels like a fantasy to me!

I don’t see why homophobia would exist in WoW. I don’t know why. It just doesn’t seem like something the people would be concerned about when the Burning Legion or Emo-Darkwing is trying to destroy the planet.

It seems they are more busy making 'statements" than actually working on the game. Most shadowlands news have nothing more than some statement this days.

Actual homophobes used the argument that WoW is a medieval game so homophobia was cool and normal like the real medieval times of the real world.
Yeah they were obviously wrong since WoW hasn’t been medieval for a long while with spaceships, high tech and all but that didn’t stop them using it as an excuse to justify their hate.
Now their last excuse is gone, they can’t be homophobic and hide behind ‘medieval rp haha’

Homophobia has no place in any universe. To see it displayed in a fantasy setting is shameful. I for one would ensure I would be accepted and if anyone said anything different they gone get cussed out. Period. 100% zero tolerance.

Lol what? What is me saying that homophobia has never really seemed like a thing in WoW’s lore means I’m shilling? If you want to look in my post history you can clearly see I don’t agree with Blizzard on everything. Most notably the Covenant ability system.
