I’m oblivious to this sort of thing so I didn’t notice it before, but Rakera and Kaja is now super obvious and would be way more natural feeling than, say, Tyrande and Malfurion. But then I have this saying that if even I can immediately notice the romantic ques it was probably written with the subtlety of a jackhammer.

I don’t like wishing harm on others, can I hope they have a revelatory, heartwarming learning experience instead? I’m a sucker for a redemption arc.

I refuse to read this entire thread, but I feel an overwhelming urge to stress the difference between a bunch of hypothetical people cheering “Blizzard is awesome, they are truly leading us into a glorious future free of bigotry!” and the reality that everyone is just celebrating the fact that we collectively managed to drag a gargantuan corporation kicking and screaming over the line of basic decency. Blizzard isn’t winning any battles for us, this is just a sign that we are already winning on our own.

Like when you see a bunch of cereal commercials starring same-sex couples. No sane person sees that on TV and thinks a Cheerios advertisement will win people over, but the fact that a cynical brand is willing to exploit that shows how far we’ve come, because money is always painfully behind the curve.
