Id just buff mw rsham and rsdruid instead. Holy paladin feels like healing should be.
Source: I only play mediocre healers for fun and personal growth.
Yeah nice try though. Just kidding. 0/10
Discpriest and holypaladins actually look pretty good, I got 1800 easily with them. With my evoker, I couldn’t get past 1600, I just wanted the complete transmog -.-
You can give up or Q up. What’s it gonna be?
+1
sac needs a nerf fs: either more than 1 min CD or things actually die with sac up
Sac is a 2 min cd almost dude xD
Oh hey they did change that sac talent mb
I’ve played healers when they were one of the two good ones in rss; that it always devolves to being 1-2 dominant specs is probably more than an hpal or w/e problem
Still hpal/disc have had a good 4-month run and it’s time to mix it up
Yea by buffing the bad stuff not nerfing what’s good
I think the only part of paladin that could warrant a nerf would be the sacred weapon, but honestly im not sure how much of that is the weapon being OP vs people just not being aware of it.
Weapon is only OP because of the redistribution talent, weapon itself isn’t actually anything insane its on par with other healer hero talents, but they revamped lightsmith this patch and the new “Tempered in Battle” talent is just insane. So whenever someone has a weapon it redistributes health between them and the hpal, making that target very hard to kill. It also works with 3 weapons out if you play the rng weapon talent, making both targets hard to kill lol. Works behind LoS too.
edit- also works if the hpal is cced ie cyclone, it will still redistribute even though the hpal won’t take damage. So weapon shouldnt really get nerfed at all but tempered in battle definitely should.
Being unable to die before deep dampening seems balanced based on the initial thread replies
Maybe try doing damage lil bro
Honestly, very good point! Thanks for pointing this out!
I did know this! What’s also super interesting is the damage from redistribution DOESN’T break cc, so evokers can play spammable sleep and perma sleep the pally while their team rots.
Lol isn’t that a bit insane. An ability that redistribute health between 2 targets and it works while cc/los.
As for los, Blizzard really needs to update their combat engine. Spells/abilities shouldn’t work the second you put a wall in between targets.
Health redistribution was purposefully made to behave differently than damage taken a while ago. If you recall there was a point in time warlocks used burning rush before getting cc’d to break it - and then the rule was established that “loss of life” <> damage taken.
Curious - if you life swap a cc’d target does it break? Anyone know off the top of their noggin?
Nope!
I cant use lifeswap to break a polymorph on a healer, even though it “does damage”.
Same with spirit link.
Yeah so it all makes sense! We like consistency. For clarity, it does not technically do damage, it redistributes life which is treated differently.
Sac is an example of redirecting actual “damage”
