Everyone acknowledges there are a ton of issues in pvp, especially those that do not pvp. Can you grasp that? Saying there is a list of problems in pvp, as the reasons I do not pvp, does not mean I pvp.

The company makes call of duty too. Your funds get dropped into the company bank account, and they dont have a separate one that says “wow only”.
I guess I will give it a go, but I’m not sure what I was expecting. It definitely wasn’t a battle royale though. 
I loathe PvP as it is. I definitely didn’t want or need more of it in my life.

Why isn’t this new WoW content in the game then? Why is it a stand alone thing where i don’t even play my characters? If they release a WoW themed update in Call of Duty is that more WoW content for WoW players?

It’s a different game entirely. Fortnite is not WoW, and just because your re-skin Fortnite with WoW skins does not make it WoW.
Do you even realize all the Non-Wow crap they are force feeding us now? The whole Rumble fiasco, now the HS event stuff, the Diablo 4 nightmare…
Yet the original WoW game, that almost started the whole gaming revolution, is being woefully neglected. OF COURSE people are going to be pissed off about all of this. We expected something with the game we play already, you know, WoW. Not to be pressured into playing their more inferior other games.
I swear if I didn’t know any better, I’d say they are letting WoW sunset, and they are trying to slowly push us to their other games. (Which for me, will never happen. I’ll just say goodbye to MicroBlizz once and for all.

Doesn’t use our actual character, starts from game menu, who wanted this? Not I.
I also don’t even think it sounds like my type of game/something I would enjoy. For a “secret” patch, I am highly disappointed. This isn’t even a patch if it doesn’t involve my actual characters, it’s an additional mini game.

Which was the complaint about Oculus, back in the day, that you weren’t playing your character, you were playing a dumb dragon with 3 buttons.
Guess there’s nobody left at Blizzard who was around during Wrath, anymore.

I’ve always said : imagine if we could play a royale with our wow characters! Good work at taking the first steps blizz! I always applaud courage in an effort to grow!
Shame on our community for being so negative all the time. The constant negativity needs to change. It is world renown that wow community is very unfriendly and a major turn off to newcomers.
As a 18 year customer you have my personal Stamp of Approval on this one. Id love to see our mains play a battle royale in the future!
Ok no, to be fair here, the complaint about Oculus was not becuase of the 3 button dragons, it was because the dragon was such a janky mechanic, it was the same complaint in the under water zone. 3d combat is not very well done in wow.
Remember, Ulduar also had vehicle combat and that raid was and is regarded as one of the best wow raids ever.

except for like 1-2 sentences calling it new and untried, paraphrasing of course.
Not because of Flame Leviathan, though. You had to deal with the janky vehicle combat to get to the start of the good stuff.

Even then, the vast majority of complaints were not about the fact you had to use a dragon in oculus, it was how janky 3d combat was. That was the real issue with oculus.

Pretty much this. They killed the hype long before today by not telling us anything. Now we find out it’s just a battle royale mode? I guess I’m a bit disappointed but not overly so. My expectations were below zero to begin with.

So this is just PvP? Yuck. Who thought it was a great look to get everyone hyped for this, when a LOT of players don’t participate in PvP at all, ever? This is just… bad.
