Not usually a big fan of PvP (because I get smacked around before I even know what’s happening lmao), but I’m excited to try it! I love the look of the rewards, so hopefully, it’s not too hard to get them. 
Well its probably just because its just a bunch of people screaming about how this isn’t for them because they don’t like pvp.
Im not much of a pvper either and am disappointed because this patch turned out to be mostly a nothing burger for me. But its a .6 patch and there are actually people that enjoy this stuff.
Im happy blizzard is trying new things, i just think something so niche shouldn’t have been hyped by a wall of mystery because half of players wouldn’t like it anyway and being disappointed is what causes what you see on the thread. Though the pettyness is quite dense in here. But thats just default for people nowadays i guess.

It is PVP, but it isn’t WoW. I can see how that was misunderstood seeing it was released as a WoW patch…

As I don’t PVP myself, I have no interest in this but I’ll probably watch other people play it on Twitch just out of curiosity. I’m fine not getting any of the collectables. Cool that Blizz are trying something different I guess.
Something tells me that dropping people into a mode with premade characters where they have to worry about talents and 30 or more buttons would take the wind out of any sails attempting to get in.
It’s just for the limited event, it’s not “consoleization”.

Shouldn’t have been a WoW patch at all. It should have been marketed as a game mode in the WoW universe and available outside the game.

Happy to see the team experimenting, but this game mode is not for me (which is fine!).
Just super sad to see rewards that I very much do want tied to a game mode that I very much do not want to play. Especially since those rewards appear to be quite grindy to get.
It takes my thoughts from “oh that’s a neat idea!” to “this is rather unfortunate and pretty disappointing.”
If there was a way to get all the rewards in the actual game, a lot of my complaints / concerns go away.

So we’re now openly stating that they are using live realms as a PTR and are excited for it?

If something, only the mode will become part of consoles.
I certainly hope not. Everything in the video looks like reused WoW assets…and I hope that they weren’t trying to build a survival game using those. But I guess we’ll never know.
I was thinking more of the gameplay concepts. Not the assets/coding.
This does not improve pvp is the problem.
The game mode is completely separate, does not use classes, and is a 7 button system.
This has NOTHING to do with wow pvp, saying this is there to improve it is like saying making garlic bread will improve your apple pies.
