Is the Wolfmane Tribe still active and if so, are they still open to recruitment?

Been a long time player and want to try my hand at some in-game RP.

Made a tauren character and am looking for a mature RP guild (not x rated kind of mature, but mature in the sense of not juvenile/inane/childish).

I applied on the Wolfmane tribes website I found through a Google search, but have gotten no reply.

Hello there! Yeah, we are still active. I have alerted the other members of leadership to your app.

Its just been crazy busy. This is my first night having my computer up and running.

One of the officers and myself (I am the GL) have been moving across the US and it has been the wildest ride. Illinois to California and our plans went way off the rails.

I won’t be able to be around until my RL settles down. Once it does I look forward to meeting you!

Event: Tales of Ga-Jet-Zan
Participants: Raton, Makarg, Narantuya, Brutus, Brekan, Arroyo

The Wolfmane have returned at last to the City of Sin, Gadgetzan! Continuing on their task to secure a shipping manifest from the one and only Mayor Noggenfogger, the Wolfmane started the work of reestablishing themselves back into the city after their previous defeat of the Arena Champion King Crusha.

While the Grimey Goons had been upset by the defeat of their once money making monkey, the eclectic collection of tauren and pandaren who’d caused the disruption has mysteriously disappeared. In the intervening weeks, Trixie “Sprocket Queen” Mattel, has reclaimed her place as the head sponsor of the Thunderdome with an influx of cash from well placed bets placed on the mysterious champions who killed the gorilla of before. Now, after a partnership with one of Noggenfogger’s biggest rivals, Katya Fizzwhistle, they’ve set themselves up with whole new lines of product in the marketplace. The TEEN QUEEN SHREDDING MACHINE (™).

For the Wolfmane’s part though, they found themselves back in the somewhat inconspicuous bar known as Talan’s Place. “Where Else Ya Gonna go?”. Raton, Narantuya, Brekan and Brutus all spent their time in the bar, trying to get a feel for the new goings on in the city since their departure. It seemed that information was slim regarding the mysterious arena busters, but word on the street was that the Grimey Goons were still on the look out.

As the tribe members talked amongst several patrons, including a twitchy goblin trying to sell some drug called… “red mana”, a half mechanized orc named Makarg and a particularly flirty vulpera named Arroyo. The first, the goblin who never passed along his name was particularly insistent in making a sale this evening, touting the new formula of the Kabal’s best selling magical drug. “Twice the potency, half the insanity.” as he claimed to Brekan and Makarg. Though none were willing to take his offer, the goblin seemed… fairly put off, but alas no deal was struck and Makarg nearly killed the raving creature then and there.

As the Kabal attempted one kind of deal, a certain voracious vulpera was looking for another. Speaking to many in the bar, he offered two deals, flirting and the touch of another along with more private offerings of electrified equipment supplied by the Grimey Goons themselves. Gauntlets and other weaponry at a fraction of regular price he offered, but the Wolfmane had no need for such things. Thus, the vulpera left with choice words to all of the Wolfmane best not repeated here.

Elsewhere in the tavern, a new arrival of orphans from the Orgrimmar Orphanage was more than happy to have a return trip to Gadgetzan! After their prior near purchase of the Nog-teach Kiddo Friendly Shredder was destroyed by Raton during a chase, they were particularly excited to get back to the fun! Their care-taker unfortunately was not. Barely handling three who ran off, they left the other orphans to mill about the bar with stern words of warning not to get into trouble.

Seeing the danger of free roaming orphans set loose, Raton and Narantuya stepped into action to tame the parentless pint sized ragamuffins! This caused some difficulties though… as one of the orphans, a small pandaren child named Tiku recognized Raton and threatened to spread his name to the Grimey Goons!

Seeing the danger of such a revelation, Narantuya stepped in to address the situation. She offered the children a pack of Mokepon cards in exchange for silence on their parts. The children agreed with one more condition as they examined their new collection. They wanted a new mech to replace the old one they’d lost when the Wolfmane had destroyed it a month earlier. Raton was displeased, but a deal could certainly be struck. He left with Brekan and Narantuya to request from Trixie a new deal for one of her new shredders in an offer to the orphans.

Some negotiations and the arrival of Makarg who seemed to know Trixie from childhood brought the goblin tycoon around on the deal, and she agreed if the Wolfmane could double the value of her shredder with their upcoming heist against Noggenfogger. A sum of nearly 120,000 gold pieces.

With the shredder acquired and the orphans silenced for now, the Wolfmane were able to at least settle any more pressing concerns over their arrival in Gadgetzan once more. Minus a few difficulties when the night ended in a tavern brawl after the Kabal goblin had struck out at several nearby patrons. Luckily, the creature was put down and the night ended on a…. Relatively normal note for a night in Gadgetzan.

Apologies for the rather disjointed nature of this write up, things got pretty hectic and a LOT of stuff happened, but we all had fun! We should be getting back to more regular write ups now that Ascension is over and the Wolfmane will be running more of our own events!

Kirin Tor Conclave: Day One

After getting everyone together to discuss the ongoing issues around Azeroth, it seems that there’s been a number of potential issues going down for both the Wolfmane and others. For their part, the uniting of the Duskwatch Saberguard and the Wolfmane Tribe has proved exceedingly successful, having cleansed the void tainted root of Nordassil within the Broken Isles. However, it seems that the void taint had ripple effects across the area, as the Sunreavers also faced issues within Dalaran. Tainted wine caused an epidemic of coma’s which turned out to be related to a special spider outbreak as well. Both have been finished.

The Volkar Legion has dealt with a number of issues relating to the last remnants of the Amani trolls as well as the undead still remaining feral after the Year of the Scourge. It seems that a powerful lich within the sunken temple and a void entity known as Iso’rath have taken to stealing tablets of the old silithid empire and are using them for nefarious purposes. The campaign has carried this coalition across the entirety of Northern Eastern Kingdoms including the elven lands and human kingdoms. In all, with the defeat of most of their forces, the argent and Volkar coalition has seen impressive successes on multiple fronts.

Jan’mak of the Volkar Legion spoke at length about the gathering of several centaur clans under a more unified banner, calling for aid to put pressure at last on eliminating their people or at least wiping out the threat they possess once and for all. In Ashenvale, he spoke of remnants opposed to the new horde council called the Revenants of Rezan. They’ve been causing trouble throughout the forest, and are looking to depose the current Horde leadership by any means possible.

Next up was Priestess Lyastei to speak on the Helping Hands movement. This is another goal that the Wolfmane have been working to establish among their Kal’dorei allies. In prior months, the Wolfmane had met with a number of groups of the Kal’dorei peoples and began the first steps of diplomacy, finalized in their participation in a druidic celebration known as the Byltan Festival. The goal of the Helping Hands Coalition presently is to work towards reparations for the Kal’dorei people most affected by the War of Thorns and the Burning of Teldrassil. A brief albeit rude interruption thankfully ended peacefully before the end of the talk. Lastly, the priestess spoke about upcoming plans to address the various Kaldorei peoples most affected and how the Coaltion might secure supplies for them.

The next to speak was Butcher Gravellaugh representing The Hand of Algalon. He spoke on the issues they believed was most affecting the Horde. He first spoke on the guilds aid of the Undead in Northern Lordareon, assisting them in reclaiming their lands after the invasion of the Gilnean worgen. They have also assisted in the cleansing of feral undead from the region around Silvermoon including assisting the arrival of Nightborne to the city.

Next, Celia Cindersong of the Sunfury Battalion, who spoke on their part fighting off a former general of Kael’thas, who attempted to destroy the Sunwell with arcane infused Amani Trolls. This was thankfully stopped, and they have new puzzles to figure out in the near future.

Shindu Alar represented by Professor Deriae Folverta-Keendown and Nakiku spoke next. Their group focused on special circumstance military operations. For their recent excursion, they had looked into a new troll tribe in the Ghostlands as well as the deaths of multiple individuals in the area under mysterious circumstances. Kidnappings have also occurred but are slowing down, and they are putting their best efforts forward to continue looking into these matters.

Following up from their discussion was Lastiari Evenfate representing a group called the Voyagers. They are a small group of Ren’dorei offering their assistance in any matters relating to void magic and troubles involving it.

With that, the first day of the Convocation was over! What news would the next day bring?

(Apologies if I missed any important plot points! Tried to summarize as best I could.)

Restocking the Waters
Event Lead and Author: Torroh

AKA Fishin’ Expedition Official Report After being tasked by the Rivermane Tribe to transport fish from the Fields of An’she to Thunder Totem, a band of travelers led by Torroh Skyrunner set out to do just that. What was intended to be a calm fishing trip (wherein over a dozen plump salmon were captured and one fishing pole stolen from a flabbergasted Skyhorn) quickly turned into a death-defying adventure after the bridge within Mucksnout Den collapsed. With the only other alternative path being a narrow muddy trail along white-water rapids which doubled as a primary water supply for anything on the mountain with teeth, the group began the long journey back through the Witchwood.

In this dark forest, a member of the party (Nakira) was ambushed and wounded by a harpy witch. The combined efforts of the team led to the harpy’s defeat. After tending to her wounds, the adventurers continued on their journey. An uneventful trek through the Bloodhunt Highlands was a welcome relief. Upon reaching another cave known as Rockcrawler Chasm, the group came across another bridge but this time decided to cross it one at a time, successfully (and with the aid of an unaffiliated traveler).

Once they made it out of the cave (completely bypassing an encounter with a pair of drogbar worms that the DM stupidly forgot) they happily rested in Skyhorn, where they healed and resupplied. They set out a few short hours later. They were almost at the home stretch, when the scent of the salmon attracted the attention of a trio of wolves.

The battle was fierce, with especially excellent performances by Bekrash and Gladys . In the end, the wolves were defeated (rather violently and explosively), and the way home to Thunder Totem was clear. The salmon were delivered safely to the waters around the city, and all the fishermen survived.

Report on the Patrol to Torrok’s Bluff

Author: Vanskral/Renus

Participants: Eaerenus, Breutex, Ozark, Garrot, Bekrash and Nakira

The march to the destination was largely without any problems. First signs of things not being the way, they are supposed to be were noticed by the group when entering the Bloodhunt Highlands. Thanks to Bekrash being able to sense a disturbance coming from the area, the party was able to arm themselves that something might be foul. Arriving at the foot of Torrok’s Bluff however things took a turn, that non of the people present might have been able to predict. A crystal clearly resonating fel energy was found, with a string of energy entering the bluffs.

After succesfully dispatching the small crystal being held there, voices could be heard coming from the bluffs, so the party took the decision, though the adversaries sitting atop the destination was nothing anynoe could have expected. Remnats of the Feltotem (members of the Bloodtotem Tribe, that decided to join the Burning Legion during their assault on the Broken Isles), were found to be directly responsible for the happenings in the area. There were no clues, how they were able to to hide for an extended amount of time and how they were able to set up as fast, as they seemingly have been.

A skirmish with 3 protectors, 2 gunmen as well as a warlock, that seemingly acted as the group leader occured. In the end the Wolfmane and their companions were able to fully dispatch one protector, severly injure several other members of the enemy party and Ozark hacking the leading lady to many pieces. In the proccess of that kill however the crystal, that was sitting in the middle of the bluffs was heavily damaged. Most of the group was able to escape the impending explosion, however Ozark, Breutex and Eaerenus were caught in the ensuing explosion of the giant crystal and thrown into the cliffs on the side, unwillingly taking down a couple of trees in the process. From a first assessment no permanent casualties were on the side of the Wolfmane, the remaining Feltotem fled the scene, it was best in the eyes of the group to not persue them further at this moment in time. The explosion of fel energy has left the bluffs in a tainted state, which will require the aid of multiple shaman, druids and even priests to cleanse from the lands of the Earth Mohter.

Gadgetzan’s 11
August 26th, 36 A.D.P.

It was time at last to complete the heist and snatch the shipping log from Noggenfogger’s infamous vault. But to do so the Wolfmane would have to go through quite a few steps to get there. Using blueprints and knowledge gained from their now trusted ally Trixe “Sprocket Queen” Mattel the Wolfmane now had a general idea of how they’d get into the vault itself. It seemed that outside of Noggenfogger’s own personal access, he’d allowed his new girlfriend Violet Chachki to have access as well through a special amulet she sometimes wore to special occasions. Through all of their work, they’d managed to maintain an anonymous identity except to a few select individuals. And for tonight, they’d be completing that task without Noggenfogger any the wiser as to the true culprits.

On the night of the Wolfmane’s mission, both Violet and Noggenfogger would be leaving for a celebration, leaving Violet’s amulet unguarded in the Noggenfogger mansion. In addition, Captain Rex and his crew would be storming the docks of Gadgetzan this evening, drawing attention away from the Noggenfogger’s palace of greed. Lastly, Trixie had given Raton a one time use phaser that would temporarily knock out any Nogg-Tech device in a short radius but only once. This would be the time to strike.

Phase one

The first step was to get into the mansion itself. Even in the desert, Noggenfogger had a flair for the dramatic as well as expensive and had installed a crocolisk filled moat around his personal mansion. The only way in besides climbing the walls it seemed was to step across a long and wide bridge, with a sniper filled turret at its end constantly watching the entrance. This was the first challenge faced by the Wolfmane.

The Wolfmane approached cautiously, staying low to the ground and out of sight of the sniper as they watched and observed. It seemed that only one officer was on patrol tonight with the ongoing distractions in town. Raton and Wuyoon studied the sniper from his high perch, waiting for an opportunity to strike when his attention might be shifted elsewhere.

Seeing an opportunity presenting itself, Gladys shifted herself into a vulture and took to the air. Her great wingspan and raucous ‘caw’-ing drew the attention of the sniper in the tower who had decided to eliminate the annoyance with one well placed shot. Raton and Wuyoon took this opportunity for their own and two well placed arrows took down the first obstacle with ease.

Phase one complete, now for phase two of the infiltration.

With a quick flyover, Gladys could see the Wolfmane were free to cross the bridge with little worry of being spotted, and the tribe entered their second phase of action: the gardens of Noggenfogger’s mansion. The garden was a veritable cornucopia of shaped hedges in Noggenfogger’s image in ever more depraved states of undress, fed from sprinklers of all sorts despite the land around them being a desert.

Several gardeners worked the garden, outfitted with Nog-tech gardening equipment. The Wolfmane had made it through the main entrance to the mansion, but now would need to make it through the area without drawing attention if they’d wished to not draw the ire of the mayor himself. Gladys had proven herself a worthy distraction, and took on this role once more to give the Wolfmane more time to make their way through the garden without being noticed. Among the gardeners she flew, cawing and harassing like a deranged vulture hell bent on the end of all gardens.

With the gardeners distracted for the moment, the Wolfmane carefully made their way to the entrance of the mansion. Two hobgoblins sat like statues with only occasional movements to scratch themselves or look at the strange bird out in the gardens. Raton removed the first of them with a well placed poisoned arrow to the head, and the other was quickly dispatched with a barrage of attacks from the rest of the Wolfmane.

The gardeners though were another matter. Some were annoyed at the flapping vulture, and tried to end the matter with their Nogg-tech Hedge Clippers (™). Gladys for her part stood against the gardeners with such furious stubbornness that one ran away entirely. The others were scared into leaving by the quick work of Brekan with some well placed light magic and a charming spell on one of the Hobgoblins by Wuyoon.

“I don’t get paid enough fo’ this!” Shouted one gardener as he fled the mansion away from the crazed birds and strange magic flying about him! In short order, the other hobgoblin was dispatched and the garden was free of its maniacal hedge trimmers.

Phase two was complete.

The third phase saw the Wolfmane going into the mansion itself to look for Violet’s amulet.

While the mansion itself seemed to be of relatively normal make, the entrance was peculiar in its display. Next to the grandiose door was an even more grandiose vending machine. In bright neon letters: NOGGENFOGGER ELIXIR FREE SAMPLES. Peculiar…

Still, the Wolfmane needed to get into the vault, as the more time they wasted debating their course of action meant an ever greater likelihood of being discovered. Upon opening the front doors, the Wolfmane could see a large and spacious dining hall filled with heavy wooden tables perfect for a dinner or some other occasion. Not only celebrations were expected though, it seemed intruders were as Brekan noticed a trap. A pressure plate just inside the entrance with an unknown mechanism. Raton attempted to leap over the trap, but his hoof just grazed the edge of it.

The sound of mechanical doors sliding open and metal cylinders firing up meant one thing… a trap had been sprung! The Wolfmane dashed inside, hoping to outrun whatever trap was coming while still finding their prize only to find themselves surrounded on two sides by automatic turrets which opened fire.

Some of the Wolfmane threw over the tables for cover as a hailstorm of bullets erupted in the dining hall. Others took cover outside the entrance to the building until a plan could be made, but in any case, the real danger had begun. Bullets ripped through the air and a Nog-Tech Kiddo Friendly Shredder came stomping down the stairs. “FUN DETECTED. DISABLING KIDDO FRIENDLY PROTECTIONS.” It stated as it entered the dining hall with weapons raised and ready.

The ensuing battle was fierce, with Gladys and Wuyoon tackling the Shredder while Wuyoon and Ahruu tore at one of the automatic turrets. Raton for his part tore at the turret along the opposite wall, quite literally tearing it from its mount and turning its fire against the shredder! The shredder did not go down easily, coating Gladys in burning napalm though Brekan and Ahruu were able to reduce the damage to the party through their magic of Nature and An’she.

Finally, the shredder fell, its automated systems unable to handle the full power of the Wolfmane as they ripped it apart bolt by bolt. All that was left was to claim Violet’s amulet and make their way to the vault to claim the prize. Violet’s amulet, a large amethyst gemstone infused with magic wasn’t too difficult to claim, buried amongst a pile of gaudy gems, jewels and other baubles meant only as a display of wealth. These were largely ignored in favor of the greater prize, the vault of Noggenfogger himself.

The journey to the vault was long but thankfully uneventful. Using a tunnel found in the basement of the mansion, the Wolfmane descended deep into the depths of the earth beneath gadgetzan until arriving at a massive intricate vault door. Mechanisms and metals along with seeming magical defenses barred the way to the Mayor’s stash, but the recently stolen amulet granted entry.

Gold glittered in piles and artifacts, goods and trinkets from all around Kalimdor dazzled the eyes of those who entered the vault. The wealth on display would be enough to make any would be money grubber jealous, but the Wolfmane had a mission. Their personal prize, the magical shipping log for the city was in their grasp. But when it was taken, so too did one last danger reveal itself.

Four Nogg-tech shredders activated, encroaching upon the tribesman with their flamethrowers and buzz-blades at the ready. All who were there readied their weapons for a fight and…

The shredders stopped, twitching only a moment until the light in their mechanical eyes faded out. Raton held the kill-switch provided by Trixie in hand, triumphant. One more quick sweep of the area would confirm that the Wolfmane were in no immediate danger. Still, their infiltration would likely not be unnoticed for long, and so with their prize in hand. Many grabbed an item or two from the veritable treasure pile and departed from the vault. Victors over the Mayor of Gadgetzan with him none the wiser as to who had committed this act of theft.

Recruitment for Wolfmane is now softly closed. Excemptions can be made on a case by case basis though.

Great, great people. Love role-playing with you all, and can’t wait to see you on the boat to the Isles
