That still seems so high even without exploits or degen play. I must be doing something wrong but I feel like it’s because I did most things without the R10 bonus.
On a sidenote, just did another seed and got 250 rep? But could have sworn I’ve done way more than 5 and I thought you only get the big rep from 1st 5?

i think its more something like : “you can only get the 250 rep from seeds 5 times a week”, doesnt have to be the first 5
I can understand Blizzard not being thrilled by this, but this seems like a really heavy handed response, even for them. I guess they want to make an example of people here. That’s ultimately their choice. 
I’m currently renown 7, and over half way to 8. I’ve still got some of the side quests and a couple of world quests to do. So I’ll easily get to 8, probably 9.
EDIT: Nope, not quite 9.
I’m doing the side quests right now and getting rep items at the end. Just finished the dryad one and got a 500 rep token.
Most people would be at about renown 9 without using the exploit at the begining. Anyone in the 11+ range definitely exploited.
The R10 bonus is pretty huge. You can’t discount that and then wonder why you’re nowhere near 15 after week 1.
I definitely did not exploit. I was stuck at work when all the infinite seed farming happened. My account is neither locked nor rolled back.
You can get sparks from looting treasure and killing rares as well
Yeah, I can’t imagine anyone under a certain point actually exploited. If they did, it wasn’t for long. With how many WQs have been available, I would definitely expect some to be in the 10-11 renown range. I’m sure Blizzard knows their targets for the banhammer. There’s logs and data we can’t see ourselves.
So, yeah, you can’t do anything on your main til your alt is 10. That’s a non negotiable to get to 14. But if your alt is 10 first, you do every single quest, campaign mission, the pvp spark quest, and every chest that handynotes says gives rep, and youll be 14. Obviously with dmf buff

I’m renown 14.
I leveled an alt to renown 10 first then on my main I did everything with the Darkmoon Faire buff so 10% additional rep and the 100% rep increase up to renown 10 buff.
I did all the quests, treasures, PVP weekly, Emerald Dream World Quests, had a 3star Dream Warden contract, also did several seeds until it felt way too tedious.
I could’ve done all the WQs from the Dragon Isles, Cavern, and Forbidden Reach with my contract but man… that’s a lot.
I am at renown 6 apparently, I think that if I played more I could have been higher, but I’ve been having fun buying AH sets and getting fast 437 gear on alts by just running the heroic time dungeon for flightstones.
Can we at least all agree that the stupid Human Diplomacy racial needs to die in a fire?

I got my Druid to renown 9 this week. If he was Human, I’d already have gotten double rep on everybody else.
It’s just dumb.
I am renown 9 but I didn’t do the seed business and didn’t do the rares nor PvP quest nor DMF buff on the first 3000 rep.
nope - been in the game since the start - no need to change it after 14 years because people want to compete in everything even when it makes no difference who finishes first.

I’ve not done any of them on my main yet, so I think what I’m going to do with my newly-dinged 70 tonight is farm as much as possible up to R10. Then after reset going to get to 10+ and wait to do all the side Q’s and all the new weekly stuff on my main.
I’m going to try still and see what I get after I have the 100% bonus. My main is 6 right now and the bonus will only last until 10, so not sure how much further past 10 I’ll get after reset.
14 would be nice but I’ll be happy with drake crests from 7 and 12.
Not sure what you mean by AH sets but I’ll have a look. Seems like a lot of stones to upgrade to 437 though. There’s some discount system isn’t there, when you fully upgrade a slot? Not sure if it has to be a specific upgrade path or every path for that one slot, or if the discount is per path only.
6 is where I am at after completing all the quests and world quests, doing some superblooms and planting a heap of seeds
but I also have a pile of rep tokens in my bags that I’m waiting to use and they will easily get me another 3-4 ranks
I made it to renown 11 with no real optimization outside of popping rep tokens with DMF buff.
