People have been saying on Wowhead that even without using exploit they have been getting to renown 15 this week? That cannot be right?
My main is only R6 after doing campaign and all WQ etc…not sure what I’m missing here or if people straight up lying.
I got to Renown 10 with zero exploiting. I’d be about 1900/2500 if I had done the questline I fought tonight while DMF was still up.
1250 from seeds
1K for the superbloom
1k for the PVP weekly
+500 for completing the weekly rep quest
Plus the rep for killing rares, opening chests, and farming seeds (before the nerf)
I could be wrong, but I think most people got to 7 or 8 with little effort
Then double all of that (including campaign tokens) by hard farming an alt to 10 first.
Meanwhile there’s a cheat forum selling the exploits for renown and profession skill point infinite duping atm, so I’m guessing it’s not patched.
They’ll patch one but there’s a bunch of others going back a full year still there.
15 renown so far, got alt to 10 on wednesday morning with human + DMF buff. Repeated on main, pop 2500 rep token right before hitting renown 10. Gives 2 free levels, pop the rest of your tokens then farm seeds till they got rep nerfed. After the nerf i dont see someone getting to 15 week one but 13 is very easy once you get a char to 10.
Edit: Alot of people forget there is a world pvp quest that gives 1000 renown too
As much as I would love to get my rune, it’s not serious enough to cheat or waste money to get R18. I’m at 7, I stopped after rep tokens dried up. Hopefully, at reset, I can get at least to 14-15.

Problem is it burns everyone else playing fairly.
Essentially a select few cheat the timegate and get everyone else FOMO burned from markets being saturated first by the cheaters.
Although this is Blizzard’s own doing from not QA’ing patches and also doubling down on timegate as progress’ing everything.
I don’t think I did much seeds past the initial rep of doing first 5 I read somewhere else.
So people have been getting an ‘alt’ to 10 1st for the 100% acnt bonus then trying to advance their main past 10?
I used my campaign tokens and pvp token already on my main so prob not doable anymore for myself.
Honestly even getting to 10 now seems not possible, unless I’m missing something with all the 754 side quests that pop up. Those are only for dew + flightstones if I’m not mistaken?
Right, did all those but rares give 25-50 rep I think so they don’t seem to make a dent.
I got to like… 11 with a contract thing, doing every world quest I could think of and hitting up seeds like a crazy person.
I got several pets though so happy with that gonna try to get mounts etc.
It adds up. That 50 if you’re nearby 5 times a week that’s a solid 250 rep for just going over and killing something. If you did all 6 every day, that’s 300 rep a day extra. Times that by 7 and that’s almost a full renown level.
had no idea there was even a pvp quest for there. anything special to do or is it just generic murder?
You could farm to renown 20 legit, especially if you spent the first 15+ hours of the patch farming seeds.
It’s just a bit slow to farm seeds after the nerf.
Im halfway through 16, didint do the macro thing or the infinite cache thing people got hit for recently, and I know a couple people that hit 18-19 just from degenerate seed farming.
It says on wowhead now that they are rolling back and banning people for renown exploit
There were several players on X that are in RWF guilds openly talking about the exploits they used to get to renown 18 and even higher.
IF they weren’t just bragging and actually did use an exploit, this is going to be interesting.

edit: It’s good to see this type of thing being actioned. Restores a little player faith in the company when cheaters don’t get to prosper.

They did, Blizzard confirmed they’re banning people.
Apparently most of Liquid and Echo did it too according to the wowhead comments, so unless Blizzard shows favoritism, we’re in for an interesting World First Race.

If they got to the seeds before they were nerfed, no telling how high they got. If they used the macro exploit, or the seed exploit with looting same seeds repeatedly, no telling how high they got. Blizzard actually just started locking accounts to rollback/possibly suspend exploiters. News just came out.
For legitimate players, you could get to 15 if you got a human alt to 10 first, while maintaining Darkmoon faire the whole time. You would also have to spend a great deal of time on rares and world quests to get to 15. The natural renown with no degen play is 14 for the week.
