What is the best dps in wotlk?
From everything I’m reading it is warlock.

The Robot-GFs whose ‘amorous circuit’ is activated by the highest parses in Naxx25 haven’t been invented yet.
If you wanted a challenge, you’d be a Feral Druid in WoTLK for lolcat rotation.

Mage. Tables/ports/AI
Anything with wipe recovery.
Lock. Summons/cookies
Don’t just look at the damage. When a raid is looking for a certain buff/debuff you’re there for one button. Use that as your in. You have a permanent spot when they see that you can do damage AND bring the button they need.

If you want a guaranteed raid spot
Make a Shaman
If you want a potential top dps
Make a Hunter, Warrior, Mage
How true is the great BM hunter crash? Most rankings show it plummeting from top dps in TBC to worst in Wrath. I’m fine with respeccing, but curious.

Nah Shamans arent required anymore.
Raid wide lust, totems.
Ele shamans get beat out by boomkin crit buff over totem buff.
Raids will have one Enhance and 1 Resto shaman

To pump I’d go Fire Mage or Aff Warlock. There’s a lot of good choices though depending on your playstyle. Non caster tend to be more gear reliant, so I chose casters so you can just do tons of dmg right away.

Warrior/ Combat Rogue/Ret paladin/DK and you will have a raid spot.
Caster- Fire mage but very gear dependent. Locks bring a lot of utility and dmg, Shadow priest has tons of benefits and good dmg late game. 1 boomkin for the buff or an ele shaman but not both.

Most people on this forum won’t have any clue. They’ll just make guesses. I honestly do not know either, but rather then pretend, I try to do research. Here’s one thing you could look at: https://www.warcrafttavern.com/wotlk/dps-rankings/
In the end though, I don’t think you should care about what class or build is top damage. Play what you like. That’s what I do and recommend.

You couldn’t illustrate any better why I want to raid through LFR.
LFR is fail and it gives really crappy gear.
So dont raid in Wrath then if all you want is LFR… because LFR didn’t exist in Wrath.
Okay maybe I was a little harsh there. You can be an average shaman and still get into the raid if you are real good friends with raid lead. But other than that… someone of OPs talents isnt getting in.
I believe you are thinking of the dungeon finder which came out during Wrath, But there never was an LFR during Wrath.
I dont think OP will make it in raiding. Be surprised if he can clear a heroic Pit.

No wrong. If you make one of every class then there is a 100% chance you will be playing the most powerful class in wrath.
