Indeed, we are looking at the same race.

same species different race.

Keep in mind that race is just a term carried over from older RPGs. They should be properly called species.

About as different as the regular maghar orcs and the fel scared on Azeroth.

I.e. We’re the same but not tainted.

High Elves alleging with Void Elves, who can destroy the Sunwell by proxy, are very much working against their own best interests. Will they just end up also becoming Void Elves to compensate for helping Comrade Umbryic liberate Silvermoon from… themselves and potentially cause the Sunwell to not only get destroyed but get corrupted into a font of pure void energy?

Sounds good to me, help us end the Light scourge sister!

Oh nice, some more anti-high elf spam

Blood Elves are High Elves that became addicted to the Sunwell and later got stabbed in the back by the Alliance. Blood Elves are the smarter of the two factions of High Elves. They at least had the intelligence to no longer associate with people who betrayed them.

This is good bait, op. I can’t wait to hear the crying and shrieking of all the high elf cry babies.

Species of Elf.
Race of Thalassian Elf.

Thus same.

Want to make high elves different then blood elves? Easy, make them more muscular and maybe look wiser, and less cheerleadery and and more disciplined.

uh no. if you go by that logic elves dont exist and they are in fact all trolls.

The species is thalassian elf. The races are high elf, void elf, and blood elf.

They all have genetic differences that separate them similar to how humans do in real life.

aye. High elves are almost all soldiers or plain commoners. They are not nobility.

Even those in the kirin tor usually choose to be battle mages rather than just there to study magic.

Nobody is denying that High elves are biologically similar to Blood elves. The difference is their allegiance. High elves have been on the Alliance way longer than the blood elves have been on the Horde, yet they are unplayable because reasons. Even if they are a minority, there are way more of them than void elves.

Indeed, I also beleive the game is missing a sagey feeling race too. We have tinkers, warrior, and naturelistic, and ritualistic races as well as power hungry ones. The only sagey charecter is velen but the dreanei don’t really show that charectisitic besides him. Would be nice to see a wisdom baised race kinda, and with high elves it would fit a good place with them, along with discipline, as they are more of a military unit now then in the past.

my only concern is, when we already have a rich dense backstory for alliance high elves, why blizz ignore silver covenant.

Ah I suppose Dark Iron Dwarf is a different race from Dwarf.

All allied races are just magical variations of the same race.

That people are oblivious to this is both hilarious and sad.

No. Not for alliance.

why not? please explain

Ah yes they were stabbed in the back by Lordaeron humans (who in turn became Forsaken) then joined up with them anyway along with the Orcs and Trolls that threatened them for millennia.
