High Elves for the Alliance explained with pictures

Dark iron Dwarf are still dwarves, but Dark iron dwarves and ironforge dwarves have different cultures that cultivated their own people.

High elf would not be an allied race, simply because Blood elves already fulfill the high elf fantasy, something that Ironforge dwarves did NOT do for Dark iron.

“That people are oblivious to this is both hilarious and sad” indeed…

You don’t even know what the High Elf fantasy is.

Anti-helfers make more threads than pro-helfers, then complain there’s too many threads in the subject.

That’s not a High Elf fantasy. In fact they, as others have mentioned, have completely twisted the High Elf fantasy to something else, something that is unique to Blood Elves.

It’s just hilarious. For 14 years nobody doubted the line between BE and HE. Perhaps they were just ignorant or never even played Alliance.

And the point of ARs isn’t to have a different fantasy necessarily, but also to supplement or complement the base races.

Blood Elves also do not even fill the entirety of whatever fantasy they are supposed to fill. Night Elf mages should have brought the Highborne fantasy to the Night Elves but it didn’t, and the Nightborne expanded on that tenfold.

On the other hand, some allied races like Lightforged only expanded an existing asset of the base race. Both LFD and Draenei worship the light, except the former does it to the extreme.

Unfortunately, Blood Elves are so under-utilized that hardly any of the Thalassian culture is being developed. High Elves could easily take over parts of that fantasy and expand it.

It appears Blood Elves are solely focused on the Light, the Fel, and the Arcane. Their ranger fantasy is HARDLY being fulfilled. The High Elves could dial that to 11 much like the Nightborne did for Mages and the LFD did for the Priest/Paladins of the Draenei.

As a fan of the “Blood Elves”, wouldn’t you like to see that fantasy explored?

Of course you do, and you foolishly think they’re going to ever expand it on the Blood Elf side. Good luck with that wait.

Some people just wanted to play a non-magically tainted elf, much like a non-magically tainted Orc with the Maghar. That’s all the “fantasy” should boil down to, except there’s more.

Some people just want a basic, generic, boring elf that runs with humans and dwarfs. Blood Elves do not have any of that.

The High Elves bring with them the unique fantasy of human integration. One could explore just how intermingled the two are, and there are plenty of ways to do so. Half Elves are frequently asked for as a sub-modification.

But you don’t even what understand what Allied Races are in the first place or what they seek to fulfill. It’s a shame. It really is.

Attention-seeking trolls who crave attention and “likes” from their simple fellows on the forums.

The company itself that made the story, has changed the very same story into what you deem is false? Well ok…

Unfounded and rather troubling logic.

Not really, it is to present that race’s story, if it supplements another race on the faction then that just shows bonds. If that race’s story is already presented, then not much point.

Once again, an opinion.

Back to different groups with different stories but some supplementing the other and showcasing bonds.

So in your opinion, the ‘solution’ to this ‘problem’ you see is not to expand on the culture in Bloodelf, but to add a copy race to the Alliance to expand upon?..ok

This shows you havent been paying attention.

I always love seeing more Thalassian story progressed…by showcasing it on the playable race itself…

By being a Highelf they are by nature already ‘magically tainted’ by their very nature. If you want ‘non-magically tainted elves’, then that would be nightelves.

more than enough Tolkien-esque games out there that offer that ‘generic boring’ concept.

See comment about Tolkien games.

Also should fulfill that strange urge you have for Elves and humans to play and breed with one another.

It would seem you’re the one that, by majority, has an issue with understanding.

Enjoy

The company itself divided the elves into high and blood.

Their story diverged into two paths before WoW was released. You can play a path, but not the other.

We want the other.

Blood elves are not high elves. If they were, the race name in the character creation screen would be “high elf”.

Except it is the same path. You play the race and the flavor that comes with them. They arent going to add the same path on both factions, because thaty would be uncreative and dull.

The company didnt “divide” the elves into high and blood. They had the highelf story progress wherein by their culture they renamed themselves to honor their dead. Those that didnt are still part of that same story.

It’s not about the name, it is about the race itself, which is indeed playable. The outliers you’re asking for are part of that same race, not something new.

It’s not difficult.

The moment you deny Blizzard didn’t divide high and blood elves is when you show you are stubbornly refusing to see what’s right in front of you.

Huge difference in that Dark Irons, High Mountain, Lightforged and Maghar are all on their base races respective factions. The fact they are so similar is of no import because no faction blending occurs.

Void elves say hi.

Void Elves are insanely different. I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul. As are Nightbourne, NEXT!

The last bits from an Adam Sandler movie, it’s just a joke.

Let me add a bit of context.

Nightelves had 10,000 years to change from drawing on an entirely new magic/energy.

Void Elves were violently and biologically changed into the blue smurfs you guys are now. They are heavily influenced from all things void.

then you have high elves who at best have a different eye color, cannonically.

This coming from a Helfer that refuses each rejection they get on Highelves, as well as what the addition of Voidelves meant…
ok

Go to Winterspring. Do the questline in Kel’theril that covers three generations of elves.

Then go to Outland as Alliance and talk to Taela Everstride and Theloria Shadecloak.

Then take a walk throught WotLK Dalaran.

Bonus: do the Purge of Dalaran questline as Horde to see Rommath call blood elves as blood elves and high elves as high elves.

Then do the Suramar questline and watch Elisande’s lecture to night, high and blood elves.

Then return here and say again that Blizzard does not differentiate high and blood elves.

I find it hilarious how anti High Elf people make more threads than the pro High Elf people.

What even.
