I think this is the case as well.
But you are a filthy human!
Iâve had an itch for hozen recently tbh.
We want Silver Covenant high elves that were there always fighting for alliance. Not void elves with corruptions in their hair. They donât even have blonde or white hair options.
Feeling cranky today. This isnât feeing like much of a lounge when every other sentence speaks of the silver covenant. I am as pro high elf as they come⌠but that canât be the sole argument for high elves in general.
Idk Iâll take em if they give em, but maybe the BA customizations for NEs has me satisfied enough for customization.
Hair options donât necessitate a whole new race slot. They can just be added to void elves.
I honestly think the un-voided skin tones and blue eyes for void elves was an attempt to soften the blow for blood elves getting blue eyes.
Now for some positivity, I donât think they are done with void elf customizations if they really do intend to improve the allied races in near as much depth as they did the core races.
According to Blizzard, the datamined blue eyes were originally only intended for the helf NPCs. After player feedback, they decided to give high elf options (they described them as such themselves) to both blood elves and void elves.
They did say they were considering adding more if memory serves.
Yeah. My Light forged Draenei is about to go human if they donât fix anything. Talk about the short end of the customization stick lol.
And you have been told âNoâ for thirteen years, and that wonât change just because a handful of treasonous elves defied the command of their last king to return to Quelâthalas.
High Elves were in the Alliance of Lordaeron for less than one iteration of the RTS. They are not an Alliance race. The Silver Covenant is one, not very large, brigade of Rangers.
You have Renâdorei, under a beloved signature hero unit from the RTS days. Thatâs how it went.
Forum spam echo chambers wonât change the facts. Playable High Elves are Horde and have been for over a decade.
TL;DR No.
You know what we need? Spider elves. And with their webs they could easily be high elves too.
How high of an elf theyâd be would depend on the size of nearby buildings or mountains.
But it has changed. We have them now. Some like Valarian there just donât want to accept it.
Wait a tic.
They officially joined during the Second War and began to drift their resources away from the Alliance in the aftermath (some of which is Deathwings machinations) but while they were pulling away after the second war, for the majority of the third war they were still a part of the Alliance of Lordaeron officially. Its not until after the war that the newly rechristened Blood Elves finally cut ties from the now defunct Alliance of Lordaeron. You know⌠cause of an attempt at at least partial racial genocide.
Still thats at least worth an entire RTS⌠even if they only participated in part in two of them. >.>
EDIT: It has been shown to me that this is wrong in that the High Elves left after the Internment Camps were broken. My next point still stands though.
Either way they were units in two RTS games and both expansions to those games associated with the Alliance.
While I agree with scope, theyâre not just rangers. They include magisters, rangers, warrior, couple rogues, and one or two pallies. There is even a warlock in there.
Indeed. A much more interesting story to explore. I do hope Blizzard expands this and maybe even one day makes the Rift a small city (Or quarter) for us.
Spider Empire Rise!
For the falâdorei!
QuelâThalas left the Alliance after the Second War, but before the Third War. They left over the failure of the orc internment camps. Post name change to blood elves, QuelâThalas was never officially part of the Alliance. Kaelâs forces aided Garathos, but they werenât ever formally inducted into the Alliance.
Did they formally leave? I was under the impression from what Iâd seen that they only withdrew their resources and the majority of their military assistance. (Until Kael left cause of, again, attempted racial genocide.)
The rest of the point still stands either way. Their units were associated with the Alliance for two whole RTS games.
According to Chronicle:
The high elves of QuelâThalas were the first to leave the Alliance.
Chronicle Volume III, page 34
This is in mention to the Alliance losing members after the orcs escaped the interment camps.
Some returning points:
- SL has been out for less than 2 months, but feels like an eternity for meâŚ
- Blizzconline is coming late February. We will probably get an 9.1 reveal then. Cross fingers for more customization.
- The story is also progressing over the weeks in a way that leads to a Blizzconline reveal.
- Normal skins for void elves didnât break the game. Who could have expected that, uh?
I really need to get myself a copy of that darned thing.
Fair enough. Iâll make a note in the other post.
Wait, so Garithos was even further vindicated?
