High Elf POSITIVITY Thread 😎

What about having High Elf Potential within a Human Potential Self insert?

can I just be a high person and be positive?

It was at first. Then it changed to, in Vereesa’s exact words:

Jail or death

What do you think that writers giving their self inserts a elf waifu is?

But… something tells me you did know this.

Wouldn’t that be the human potential in the high elf?

…

Ok, maybe that was too much.

Man, it’s really difficult to not make a dirty joke…

But it seems that one taste of that Human Potential™ is enough to ruin them for the rest of their existance as character.

Their edict was from the Kirin Tor (i.e. from Jaina), and mandates that the Sunreavers be removed from Dalaran by force – the manner in which Vereesa chooses to go about following her orders, and any/all discussion of their moral soundness, are nonissues as it relates to legality.

Uh huh.

Even into the realm of your own moved goalpost of legality, it’s clear they went over the line, but there you go again, softening things.

The Metal version, of course - right?

The entire discussion spawned from Reno’s assertion that the Silver Covenant’s entire purpose for existence it to maim and/or murder Blood Elves; I countered that their purpose is to uphold the laws and traditions of Dalaran – whether their methodology was/wasn’t morally tolerable is something you (and those similarly incapable of discerning between morality and legality) have continuously injected into the discussion (for reasons unknown, because they’re irrelevant).

It’d be more accurate to say that you’re moving the goalpost, by attempting to shift the discussion to one of morality instead of legality. :man_shrugging:

Of course, just don’t post any gifs about it.

Oh nice!

Also, you can post youtube videos with TL2. Youtube is a trusted source.

You’re both wrong. The Silver Covenant was formed to oppose the blood elves having a place in Dalaran. This doesn’t uphold Dalaran’s traditions per say, since some of said blood elves helped found the city.

The perks of being the girl of the guy in charge, you get to have your own paramilitary group living comfy inside the city.

I’d like to imagine Vereesa was just misguided and thought she was doing what was right. Then again, not even Blizzard seems to know that much about her, so how can any of our guesses be anything close to accurate?

Wellllllllllll:

If you look at all the possible takes you can have on a particular character, incident, storyline, or race and pick the one that makes the absolute least sense in the context of everything else you know about the game you’ll be right at least as often as you’re wrong.

You know I really don’t have the highest of opinions of her, but to me it seems like petty retaliation because she didn’t like them being there, despite the fact that Dalaran asked for their help against the blues for a reason.

But you’re right, they probably came up with that on the spot while designing the two faction system for Dalaran

I dunno. That seems like it invites things like guessing that Sylvanas is obviously evil, since well, it seems pretty obvious, only for them to pull a “she was really good all along” thing later. I’d rather just abstain than be wrong, when I can help it at least.

Yeah, I really have no idea why they thought they needed a whole faction of high elf NPCs in Dalaran, when they could’ve just used, oh I don’t know, humans? The ones who are supposed to be the main presence in the city, and were an actual playable Alliance race at the time to boot.

It would have made sense too, since it would be logical for citizens or some members of the council being against it. But that would have resulted on a whole internal fighting that would have added nothing to the several plotlines in wotlk… and I guess they needed someone to guide the Alliance through the Quel’delar questline.

I keep hoping that won’t happen, mostly because there is a part of me that keeps making me pay a sub here and play the game. That? That would end it for me.

In other news, screw it - I’m taking Murg Fae now and activating Threads. I’ll deal with the leveling headaches while I work on racking up renown.
