High Elf POSITIVITY Thread 😎

theres no lore establishing them. helfers will claim they were always there ofc, while everyone else wonders why else is there a few elves squatting here and that their situation appears identical to quel’lithien who were banished and went straight south to an abandoned lodge

tbf its only 1 elf and he only gets dropped when surprised by a horde player attacking him

I never claimed to be neutral, I said specifically that the whole cowardice thing was my opinion. Everyone has biases, and I pointed out my own, but that won’t make the fact that they didn’t return any less canon.

And it doesn’t change the fact that you focused on what was convenient to you to ignore canon, but ok.

But anyway, I’m late to the party, but what else it’s new with me.

we want highelves for alliance such as silver covenant, which are already in our faction.

NO. They will and should give what most people ask for, not never asked or unwanted allied races that takes huge resources and nobody or very small percentage playing them.

that is irrelevant with void elves joining alliance.

so one again, not a single reason why NOT.

2021 playable highelves, silver covenant allied race

after different paths they chosen, they are now different!

no.

they are not traitors. What kind of joke this is? Just because you dont agree with leader or don’t want to follow, by your logic you become a traitor?

Just because you call them traitors, does not mean they are such.

happy holidays!

highelves such as silver covenant, playable 2021!

well. we got highborne and that was half arsed design.

which is too bad, I really like the Highborne

If said void elves fill that criteria for you, why do you need separate high elves?

Personally, I’m neutral on a high elf playable race, because I honestly don’t care what the next playable Alliance race is.

But this just seems like a silly ask when you could just ask for hair on void elves instead.

Yes, when you refuse to obey the orders of a monarch it’s treason. It’s pretty basic. Not a democracy, the Sunstriders were monarchs.

highelves wanted because of lore reasons , name tag, faction, ect.

Even when void elves will receive full their leader Alleria Windrunner appearance customization, highelves still will be wanted.

No it’s not. There’s also 3 possible types of a monarchy. So do you even know about what you are talking?

The overwhelming majority of High Elves weren’t living in Quel’thalas, and therefore wouldn’t have been under the jurisdiction of the monarchy – if you move from medieval France to medieval England, and the King of France orders all citizens to pay an additional tax, you’re not committing treason by ignoring orders that they’ve got no authority to give.

This was covered, at length, last night in our discussion – it’s interesting that precisely none of it stuck.

were slaughtered by Arthas and the new majority became Blood Elves to honor their kin. Those that ignored the call of it’s ruler Kael are a traitorous minority.

Snakes, Cat People, Arakkoa, Ogres, and Ethereals plz.

Setting yourself up for dissapointment.

If you get the haircolors, should leave it at that.

Folk who can’t bend a little just end up breaking.

Massive “citation needed” sign.

Majority of high elves were wiped out by Arthas… So the Majority must have been in Quel’thalas by default.

It’s even stated that high elves after the name change are only 10% of what was left. Effectively 1% of the original whole since Arthas only left 10% of their whole people alive.

I was referring to “modern High Elves”, exclusively, but I can see how what I wrote could be misunderstood as a general reference to all Thalassians. I’ll rephrase:

The overwhelming majority of those individuals who would later come to form the impetus of the modern High Elves (i.e. pro-Alliance, anti-Horde) most likely weren’t living in Quel’thalas, and therefore wouldn’t have been under the jurisdiction of the monarchy.

Blood Elves are High Elves so the majority of High Elves in the modern sense is the story told through Blood Elves.

Reno’s point about the minority size of the group in question is more accurate.

Yeah but those numbers were just thrown out in a panel because they don’t want to give us High Elves, they hold no weight and are not reflected in game. There are enough Blood Elves to still be present in practically every campaign since 2008, even after Kael’thas took what should’ve been the majority of his people to Outland. Then in almost every expansion since we’ve seen the High Elves of the Silver Covenant active in some form of combat, we saw them propagated throughout Dalaran, we see them in Stormwind and Stormshield as Alliance Mages, they’re part of the Mage & Hunter stories in Legion, where Hunters work with a squadron of Silver Covenant rangers that’s big enough to secure an invasion point on their own and later go through the portal and fight the Legion on their own turf. So, they can say that High Elves don’t exist anymore as much as they want to, but they keep showing us that the opposite is true. With what I just listed, if we were to tally up their populations in terms of ingame appearances, Blood Elves v High Elves would be 6-1, but they would both be 100-1 when compared to Void Elves, which is what we ended up getting.

But they gave you High Elves in SL.

Ah, finally ironed out all the wrinkles in your brain. Silky smooth now, I see.

Don’t get upset with me because you don’t like the truth.

The people reading this thread are certainly free to do as they please, but as for myself I’ll be ignoring the types of low value, bait-y comments seen above (specifically those made by Renotarshil and Lannisterian).

They’re basically just parroting Ion’s statements, knowing full well the inflammatory effect they have on people. Shameful. :man_shrugging:
