I justā¦ I donāt think expecting a name change to Thalassian Exiles. Or a new banner is realistic. And not really needed anyways if we get the lore a HE in all but name is enough to make most people happy from what Iāve seen. But I do hope they can keep the integrity of both narratives as the HE one would be a new facet of the VE society.
I donāt think it is either(but Iād still totally dig it). And yeah, even if the High Elves are kind of afflicted with the Void, theyāre still our old Alliance-aligned High Elves who have been with us from the beginning.
Iām honestly just happy to be able to finally play them, even if itās not 100% what we were asking for. Hopefully itāll come with some extra development too, but if not, I donāt think Iād be too bummed about it.
Thatās a good outlook to have tbh itās sort of mine to an extent. Iāve done some remembering and one of the pro arguments was āVEās would have been better if they came from HEs and we had options to look like them tooā or something along those lines and people had all these scenarios on how Blizzard could have made VEs from HEs. Now we are getting HE customization and hopefully some added story for it, and Iām happy with that.
Also side note I mentioned it earlier itās unconfirmed but Iāve seen it shared several times was we may be getting the ability to be addressed by NPCs by what customization we choose, so that if anything would be a huge win too. Fingers crossed for that!

The void and light clashing made our universe, via a big bang. Your requesting that you want a void infused void elf, to then be infused with light, which would result in them exploding and maybe creating a mini universe where he stood? lmao
Iād love if the Highvale Elves came from Hinterlands to join up, giving us access to Shamans. I feel like thatād make more sense than Paladins would, but Iād personally rather paladin as a playable class for us.

Iād be skeptical since that sounds too high tech for them to do on the servers.
Maybe the skins change the character id for Void Elves? I didnāt even know they addressed us in the first place, so this is a surprise to me.
Itās something to be hopeful for anyways and cool for more things like Wildhammer etc too.
It doesnāt change the lore the VE has though. And it would be a big butt-pull to think silver covenent would willingly study in dark magics and join them so easily.

IF they are actually recruiting High Elves though, then that means weāre finally getting the thalassians we always wanted. These are the Alliance-aligned thalassians that never returned to QUelāthalas or joined the Horde. Itās not exactly in a way we wanted, but theyāre still definitely the High Elves weāve been asking for this whole time.

Yeah we can see lore added to include HEs.
One of the biggest things that was always said was VEs would have been better accepted had they been from HEs and we had customizations to look like them. We could very well get the lore to include Alliance HEs under the VE name. It is what it is. And most people are very very happy about this, myself included, and youāre entitled to your opinion but youāre not going to rain on mine or anyone elseās celebrations 
Not everyone will want to deal with the void racials nor the lack of lore associated with the silver covenent is the reason why most ppl complain. But I can see why some likes to be able to have BE skin colors on VE, though it crosses the line. I am concerned with the idea it may give blizz ideas not to add more void-like customization how ever.
I donāt think theyād be recruiting Silver Covenant High Elves. If you go to the Telogrus Rift, youāll see that the High Elves are coming straight from Stormwind, and it looks like theyāre just wearing ordinary civilian attire.
Iām pretty sure theyāll just be the High Elves that have spent their recent life living in Stormwind, etc. I doubt theyāll actually have any association with Silver Covenant.
Thatās a possibility and other avenue too. In the end as long as itās the lore for the Alliance HEs joining the VEs. I for one am happy, and view this as a victory.

I donāt get it, why donāt you play them? The real deal is there to be played, same as itās been since TBC. No need for some spoiled run aways when the heirs of Quelāthelas are ready and waiting for you.
He wants the HEs who never joined the Horde. But for some reason if we get lore to allow that to be VEs that isnāt good enough either. And heās also taken it upon himself to grief those who are happy about it. Which I donāt judge how anyone accepts or not accepts this news but at least let people be happy. No need to force your unhappiness onto others.
Oh, I knew that. But really. The stuff heās been talking about here and in the Blue post thread is the stuff that puts my back up. The whole āI want the perfectly pure and good high elves (Oh, and please make the ones who commit atrocities be considered heroes for what they did) and the Horde can have the icky blood elves that are a laundry list of bad things I just made upā
