Most races just get characters for story progression though. So⌠I guess Void Elves already have that considering theyâve got Alleria and Umbric.
Iâm leaning towards positivity. I really think the rest of the âfirst fourâ are going to get equal amounts of love to Void Elves. Especially Nightborne. I will not be surprised in the least if we eventually see a teaser for Nightborne with new options that allow Nightborne players to appear much closer to their NPC counterparts along with additional options above and beyond whatâs been asked for.
I also would expect that High Mountain and Lightforged will get a lot of proliferation from whatever goodies their parent races get.
Youâre probably right that they wonât invest the time for just one race⌠but wouldnât it be cool if they didnât just do it for Void Elves⌠but rather allowed you choose it for any race in similar way that Warlocks can get green fire?
Imagine Forsaken âShadowâ Knights or some such!
Iâm pretty sure we already have those and theyâre called death knights
hmm? Iâm just talking about the possibility that due to time being a finite resource that the options for void elves might favor one side over the other. Or just be limited so they arenât massively outside of the norm when it comes to AR options.
Fair enough. Most of my worries about this whole thing are more long term, so I canât tell how things are working out for my issues yet.
Just putting this out there as BE and VE fan. But in addition to asking for lore story to see HEs calling themselves VEs maybe some story where we see Vereesa swear the SC under Allerias banner. But thereâs also a theory / stuff going around to allege we may see NPCs recognize us by our chosen customization. So Wildhammer, High Elf etc. I kind of hope there is truth to it. But more than that I think both stories can be told under the Void Elf name regardless especially with story added.
Thatâs not really the same thing as what is essentially a Paladin using the void/shadow for its power source. Such a âShadowâ Knight wouldnât be raising zombies to fight for it or spreading disease. It would be healing just like a Holy Paladin (we already have shadow spells that heal so their is precedent), It would be throwing a shield just like a prot paladin, and it would be swinging a two-hander and popping wings (albeit blue/black ones) like a Ret Paladin.
Tentacles!
Well give it a bit of a chance at least. See what comes for Tauren and High Mountain Tauren in the alpha and if it doesnât live up to the degree of love void elves seem to be getting Iâll be just as concerned as you are and stand right beside you asking for more.
It would make far more sense to have the Void Elves join the Silver Covenant then to have the Silver Covenant join the Void Elves.
The Silver Covenant is and actual organization for one thing and very likely a larger group.
Void Elves donât have any infrastructure at all other then they have a floating rock.
Yea, I feel like (for the most part anyway) this should make most people happy on both sides because both sides got what they wanted. If alliance players expected more than this then I donât know what to tell them >_>
I canât believe High Elves are finally playable on the Alliance now atleast in terms of customization options. Honestly much as the demand for Wildhammer Dwarves. It looks things are finally settling down and all the wishes of the Alliance has been made.
I look forward to playing High Elves and Wildhammer Dwarves in Shadowlands. Thank you for the chat about everything folks. Iâll see you ingame.
Itâs great news isnât it! If we get story to add Iâll be beyond happy! Iâm at like 110% right now but I think I can crank it up to 200
This is true. If High Elves and Void Elves are being molded into a single faction then I see High Elves as the âmainâ group. Void Elves I see being the elite subgroup of that. Iâd like to see them make a Thalassian Quarter in Stormwind where the High Elves mostly hangout then have the portal to Telogrus positioned there. And of course add some more stuff to Telogrus. Proper buildings etc.
Donât do that. Not every high elf is gonna want to study the void. it will make a plot hole. Story has too many as is due to retcons.
But youâre not a high elf. Youâre a void elf.
Iâm getting really pissed off with the high elf camp trying to come in and steal our identity.
Youâre lighting our skin, changing our eye color to lighter shades and attempting to steal void elf heritage/history and conform into high elves so you can have better game immersion, while begging for VOID ELF paladins and wanting us to move away from the voidâŚ
You werenât happy with a dark skinned elf race race but now youâre happy because they can have light skin/eye options.
Like, to me this almost sounds low key racist and yâall are the european settlers coming in to destroy our culture lol.
The void options will still be there for those who want them.
Is that where weâre really going with this??
Donât mean to play devils advocate but the High Elf camp was fighting for the exact opposite scenario, with Blizzard giving Void Elves, High Elf options, they have effectively killed Void Elves, we wanted High Elves to be their own separate thing with a different rig so as to not steal from the already established Void Elves and Blood Elves.
Blizzard not giving the Void Elves a compelling story past their Void ânicheâ also didnât help in this situation, with this change, Void Elves are no longer seen as their own thing, they are seen as the vector to High Elves.
You donât get to toss blame to us when we actively fought for this half/half scenario to not happen.
At this point the best scenario i can see is giving Void Elves a ârace skinâ so people can choose to be a completely a High Elf or a Void Elf with their distinct differences but with same racialsâŚect.
Not only that but the diversity being added to VEs to allow playable HEs encompasses the new diversity options. Why are we assuming people arenât going to use all spectrums of that diversity? That says more about the person who alleges that tbh.
