High Elf POSITIVITY Thread 😎

Missed Opportunity.

Wasn’t there also a Gate to Mulgore Warfront thing too?

I can imagine the forums posts.

Heritage armor is probably the close we’ll ever get :frowning:

Please Blizz, give us the glaive and shield!

What do you think would of been the Alliance alternative to that set of armor?

if they are really nice like the one for darkshore warfront, i will be playing a nelf again. hehe

you mean like kael’thas’ from wc3 with the glowy orbs floating over shoulders and head?

ever see that one where the orbs are bluish purple for a void elf version? it was made by a fan not an employee of wow

Draenei would have been it as they are usually the opposite race to Belves.

They almost always have the best looking sets.

Whatever the Alliance race that was fighting them was.

If warfront gear does not equate to or rule out heritage. I think we would likely see Void themed stuff given the VE comments on wanting Silvermoon back on Alliance, I think Umbric makes some off hand comment?

But again, I think you’d be surprised how many Alliance even prior to BFA considered Lordaeron theirs. Same with Quel’thalas look how many ignore BE claim to it and story solidifying them Horde. Even given the fact the Alliance would likely lose the warfront
look how long people have tried to push this “Blood Elves almost left Alliance in MOP” which was never going to happen it was just an interesting story that went along with Horde division at the time. I really wouldn’t want to add “We almost won Quel’thalas we should win it next time” to the list of delusional ideas.

Either Draenei (BC vs BC races) or Void Elves?

I don’t think there’s that many people who honestly think the alliance would win quel’thalas.

I mean true but when it gets brought up by some pros, others either don’t say anything or kinda clap along with the idea, so I just want to call it out any time I see it.

Some really push the neutral BE thing, and feel claim over BEs and the kingdom in that sense.

Which is why I liked your suggestion so much when classes got brought up at choosing Druids and Shamans tbh, it would further reinforce a break from BE story as I assume HE paladins would be of course Sunwell Light oriented.

They are the same as Human/Dwarf Paladins.

I’ve seen pros bring up a quel’thalas warfront, but mostly as a way to add more story and possibly even as an intro to high elves being introduced, but I haven’t seen anyone say the high elves should win it.

Yeah but Thalassians have added flavor with association with the Sunwell. So I just think it’s best to move the Alliance HE away from that in most forms of any potential story telling.

I’ve even heard people say they’d be fine with giving all of Quel’danas to the HEs as their area. But that’s BE territory that they let pilgrims visit, but it’s still in Quel’thalas.

I guess it’s just a can of worms that I wouldn’t want just too many delusional ideas open up sometimes, and I think personally if Shaman and Druid are options I’d be okay if they didn’t get Paladin. With NEs getting a Paladin class instead.

I’ve seen people say they should take the other half and rebuild Silvermoon and split the city as neutral. I’ve seen people say they should win the supposed warfront. I’ve seen people want Alliance Quel’dorei to be playable in the form of Blue Eyes Blood elves, but also for Blood Elves to officially leave the horde, as in they want the model only in Alliance. I’ve also seen people want to win Quel’thalas for the Alliance and have the BEs as some sort of “on the outs” outcast minority and they justify it as making sense on account of fitting with the Horde theme of savages.

Many ideas that just slide by or some random pro says “I’d be okay with that” so I think it’s just best to keep the Quel’thalas (Blood Elf) narrative far from the potential Alliance HE one.

But they aren’t like the Blood Elf Paladins at all so it’s not going to be Sunwell related.

We already have seen them and they where members of the Silver Hand.

We have Arator, a Half Elf, being one of the main Alliance lore figures for Paladins.

Highvale are Light worshipers and are buds with the Draenei.

Shaman and Druids as much as we all want them are unlikely unless they get written in.

Arbitrarily removing Paladins when they are of the same type as Humans and Dwarves is just a bit ridiculous.

Especially when there are other examples already on the chopping block.

They chose not to tell the Zandalari Warlock narrative / have it as a class. I just think thinking HEs will get almost all the classes especially the most popular ones, especially assuming they themselves as a playable option will already be popular, some class has to get cut.
