High Elf POSITIVITY Thread šŸ˜Ž

High elf positive thread?

I was positive I saw about a dozen other threads about high elves.

Am I doing it right?

there definitely are. Each of those races barring possibly gnomes have been numbered at the brink of extinction or in the hundreds population wise.

While gnomes are also close to extinction they may have more than the others.

High elves were already a very populous race before the third war. I am simply applying math to what we do know as fact. At minimum the alliance has a population of several thousand high elves and it could go into the tens of thousands.

This is spam.

Game Director > story designer

Maybe once Ion leaves or profits really tank hard theyā€™ll reconsider High Elves

I dont think the population numbers in the lore is a valid argument.

There are several races that should very small numbers but are overepresented in the players preference.

At this point the high elfs in the alliance is the longest request made for the alliance and there isnt any real reason for them to not be available.

The only reason that makes sense is blizzard donā€™t want to do it. Which can change at any time they want.

/cheers!

having the words ā€œHigh elfā€ does not make this spam. This is a positive thread about high elves.

This isnā€™t a thread saying they donā€™t work nor a thread saying the alliance needs them.

Lann is a well known member of the high elf pro community.

The other threads are polluted by containment and primers of why they canā€™t be.

Just let the pros have their thread and stop making negative based ones.

(that said I do believe the antis mean well in starting the last few threads.)

I feel like re-using the Thalassian model for yet another playable race would be a waste. I would support giving customization options to Void and/or Blood Elves, provided that there are story beats to justify them.

Iā€™d be okay with this too.

I love the list Rreifren has shown. Iā€™d love to see all of it implemented to give players the ability to play what they want to play.

I support more Elves being added to the game!

All armies have depleted over the years. Iā€™d even say the Blood Elves have depleted at a faster rate because theyā€™re exposed to a lot more conflict.

They also had a sizable schism when Kaelā€™thas went bonkers, among other losses that affected the Blood Elves but not the High Elves.

What really was your point? To bring up problems all races deal with while pretending its unique to the High Elves?

Honestly, I like this better than ā€œAllied Racesā€.

The way I would regard sub races compared to allied races is that they donā€™t require a rep grind nor an unlock questline (although some of them could have one for the sake of the story)

They would not be a separate race selection but rather an option you choose after selecting the base race before you go into character customization proper.

They would of course have different options for customization and they would ideally have different class options. Ideally they would also have unique racials however I am willing to let that slide and they all share the same racial.

Instead of being introduced in pairs they would be released as the devs finish work on them alongside the next major patch. They are after all customization similar to the night warrior appearance added in 8.1.

Allied races would be reserved for new races that we recruit such as vulpera. Allied races can have sub races such as ogres would have mokā€™nathal as a subrace.

I would also keep new base races as an option (which I think ogres fit more as). Base races compared to allied races would be different in that they would be seen as integral to the story of the expansion thus be introduced at the launch of it with a full starting zone unique to them.

See this is the positivity that I like seeing. In this case itā€™s not just about High Elves but other races as well.

Game Director is likely hands off on the story up until the point he has to approve something, and I doubt very much that Hazzikostas actually cares about the story because his job is to create a game that is fun, engaging, profitable.

And honestly heā€™s failed at the first two and the third is up in the air.

So if heā€™s failing at what his main job is, why are you so quick to gild whatever role he has in making the story in gold as if itā€™s not just as flawed?

He very likely just approves what the story team brings him. And by the way things have gone, he clearly approves them as blind items without looking too closely.

The Forsaken have been in the world for less time than the High Elves. If they can carve out their own culture, so can the High Elves.

And what is the ā€œVoid Elfā€ culture? Itā€™s nonexistant. Clearly ā€˜tHeY hAvE nO CuLtUrEā€™ is a bunk argument.

You both asked and answered your own question regarding me

I donā€™t advocate for anyone, but I do know the chain of command, Iā€™m done here

So would Vrykul be on that list or in their own category as a different race?
