Thatâs definitely my preference!
I know this has been said before, but I think the night elves need another race that they bond with, even more than the Gilneans. Their bond with Gilneas is t a bad one, but as far as kin, the high elves and night elves have that.
Hence why players seem to get upset when they get modded, because they donât think about what the rules acually are vs what they think they should be able to do.
And yeah there are a load of players who pretty much seem to get to say whatever they want, and sometimes they disappear but then they are right back to it in a few days/weeks and thatâs what ends up feeding the bad behavior of other players. Some donât seem to catch the attention of mods at all.
cant we all just get along!
From my perspective? That ship sailed a long time ago for me personally.
Well thereâs a whole load of us and only a few of the mods. The problem with trying to moderate a large forum.
Would be nice, but we tried that before, always seems to go off the rails.
Well we used to have at least 4 very active CMs once upon a time. Theyâd edit posts and note it, they would lock threads and leave a note as to why, etc. Players actually cared back then too because it was more of âI will lose all of my posting privileges if I say thisâ vs âI will get a silence that extends repeatedly, but I will be back!â situation.
Yep I am guilty of that line of thinking. Like my posts about putting âyou know who and their army of altsâ on ignore. Sure enough âyou know who and friendsâ flagged my posts as trolling and they got removed.
Still I have to say this topic is a much more enjoyable read now that we have the ignore function back
I donât know the situation so I wonât comment on that, but I donât jump around to flag players and I donât flag just to flag. I didnât before they decided they needed to deal with it.
4 is still way too few to deal with the sheer volume of these forums if you wanted to keep ahead of things rather than relying on tickets. Theyâre spread too thin to do more than just respond to tickets probably.
I donât typically flag people outside of clearly abusive behavior. I just want to be able to talk about playable Alliance High Elves, and how we might get them in game, without being bombarded by negativity. The ignore function allows me to do that and I heartily recommend anyone else who doesnât want to see the negativity posted by âcertain individualsâ make swift use of it.
And remember, swapping to an alt to bypass ignore on the forums to bother someone who has you on ignore is harassment, just as it would be if you you use an alt to bypass ignore to bother someone in game.
Well considering how rampant trolling is now vs then, I would say they did a pretty good job so I donât think it was too much. Maybe the CMs themselves back then were the answer.
And there are a ton of employees that have ties to these forums. Many more than players realize.
I donât think the CMs/mods are also in charge of tickets though, unless you are talking about forum appeals.
Maybe donât break the rules and you wonât get punished?
I think they have different groups of CMâs that deal with different parts of Blizzardâs communications.
And also, Good morning everyone, how are we all today?
I should have said flags, just meant that they donât seem to have the numbers to go out and find problem posts on their own as opposed to reacting when things are pointed out.
Life is good , how are you?
Tired. Got no coffee to wake up too
