But why Holy when we can just use the Moon instead?
Read it again.
It is confirmed. Now I want to play a Batman Moon Knightā¦
I agree with this wholeheartedly.
One thing Iād also love to see, would be dialogue between both High Elves and Void Elves and how their views differ from eachother. But my personal wish for this would be for it to be played out during a situation where the Alliance had some form of internal tension - I would think that would be quite interesting imo.
I always sort of think of the Blood Elves and the Nightborne being authentic friends but each sort of thinking their better then each other.
The Xiabala dialogue of the Blood Elves scoffing at the Nightborne and their sort of unrealistic view of the world, not knowing how to use a hammer, the Nightborne being more prone to wanting to use magic to solve things that questing was all some of my favorite.
I imagine High Elves and Void Elves the same. Maybe there even being a lot of comedic shock value to the Void Elves methods and the High Elves sort of laugh/shrugging it off in the end.
Then of course it would have both Alleria and Iām assuming Vereesa, as leaders for the two races respectively. And I think it would be nice to see Alleria have more screen time with her sister, whether itās working together, leaning on each other for help with joint missions, or what have you. But I think it would be a nice story to peruse for a feel good type story, I never played WC2 and Iām very vocal about my pro Sylvanas loyalties but I think a lot of fans of the Windrunner sisters specifically Alleria would be happy to see more of that sisterly bond play out in game, more interesting then Derek being raised from the game imo but thatās just me Iām not to keen on the Proudmoore narrative past Jaina.
We just need alliance high elves.
Cromgaru fix
you welcome
Guys, my subscription ends in less than two days, so this is my farewell.
(I was going to post tomorrow, but then I realised itās April 1st and some people could mistake it for a prank).
Iāve not played in several weeks to get ready for it. And, surprisingly, I have barely missed the game. Playing had become mostly a chore I did day to day to keep myself busy while hoping for the next update to be better.
BfA has drained my goodwill towards Blizzard. The high elf issue was just a droplet in an ocean of issues. Most of all, itās the feeling of get invested for month in a story that leads nowhere and ends in a very disappointing way.
When BfA was announced, I thought a faction war was a bad idea. I didnāt believe Warfronts could work. And, of course, void elves instead of high elves was a huge issue for me. But the story seemed ambitious and Blizzard looked genuinely invested into telling a big tale. Patch 8.0 was mostly strong, but the quality was dropped with each update since, with 8.1.5 being the last patch I was truly interested in.
I didnāt care for 8.2 and Azshara, so I hoped we would get back to the war and its resolution. I waited for 8.2.5 and ended up disappointed with the conflict ending that way. I waited for 8.3 and ended up disappointed with NāZoth taking the narrative away from Sylvanas. I waited for Blizzcon and ended up disappointed with Shadowlands. I waited for the alpha hoping it could have something interesting and thereās no alpha in sight.
So, this is it for me. Iām not saying Iām leaving permanently, maybe some news some day can bring me back, but, for now, I have no plans of doing so.
For all the friends I made here, I hope you get your high elves. Good luck and good game!
AWE will miss your posts Alamara! You are one of my favorite posters, and always address things articulately, to the point and always full of good ideas. I may not have known the Pro HE posters for long, but your posts have always stuck out to me and Iāve enjoyed reading them regardless of them being for HEās or just ideas, or the background narrative you wrote for Alamara
Wishing you tons of positive energy!! And hopefully you see something that would make you happy to play again! See you around hopefully and best wishes!
Honestlyā¦ acceptable for me. >.>
Sorry to hear that. I hope to see you again in the future.
oh my. well iād be amiss if i didnt admit i have went thru this same thing several times since the announcement of allied races with legion. to me, it highlighted issues iād been willing to ignore until i arrived on the forums and learned what the actual problems were. blissfully ignorant, perhaps.
playing classic helped me to appreciate the quality of life changes made over the years, and for me, it was enough to temporarily curtail my interest in playable high/half elves.
perhaps you need to readjust your focus. i went from endgame focus, to just doing whatever. maybe low level dungeon queues on some new char. maybe achievements iāve yet to finish. maybe getting several alts within spitting distance of shadowlands. battlepets. etc. too many people are piling up at end game with the expectation it should amuse them till the next expac, but a certain amount of that effort is our personal responsibility.
Very sad, but I completely understand. I have been in your shoes since they announced the prepatch, but friends and loved ones keep me coming back. I may not be subbed much longer either and I donāt know about Shadowlands yet.
I am gonna miss you! Youāve been one of the biggest posters here in support of High Elves. I guess there is always discord if you ever want to reach out, or maybe we will see you again down the road.
See you in Shadowlands.
I really wanted to be sardonic here, but I just canāt.
If they do actually do this, they should veer away from Nelf and Belf models and come up with something that looks entirely different.
Iāll miss you, but itās definitely understandable. My enthusiasm for the game has dwindled in BFA.
You will be missed, hunter.
Fair weather and calm seas be your lot!
Think on us, now and then.
Dips her fav drinking horn into a great vat of ale!
SKĆL!
Itās a shame and Iām sorry to see you go.
Perfectly understandable why though. This game has been going down hill with no signs of improving on andy front.
Hereās hoping they learn their lesson(s) by shadowlands and bring something good to this game.
Anyways, here is my daily support for Playable Alliance Quelādorei.
