Well for starters arcane torrent I believe is the racial they explain as being what sucks the mana from other creatures on Sunstrider isle.

Yes I was asking about High Elves. Iâm not gonna play with the reasons we use one name over another that you should be well informed on.
High Elves wouldnât have Arcane Torrent at the very least. That was KaelâThas and Rommaths teaching brought from Illidan.

whats your point? even the elves at allerian stronghold under the command of auric in outland knew how to drain mana
The game of words to mislead, we all already know same race, just different paths, but they still like to play the game.

One of their supposed differences of opinion was rooted in draining it from living beings though. High Elves would not use it as an attack based feature.

They could have it do a certain amount of durability damage to their gear thatâs at least green and return some mana that way, maybe a bit more mana return since it wouldnât have the other effect

That actually sounds amusing. Not sure if itâd be super useful in PvE overall though. And really itâd just be annoying in most PvP.

The original mana tap was the actual draining ability, with torrent being the release of energy iirc.
They changed it post tbc accordingly. So its less a drain, and more of a wave of energy iirc.

Fair enough, but that was to represent their no longer needing to use it to suck in mana and such was it not? It would still technically be a skill taught by Rommath to the general Blood Elven population that has since been modified due to their no longer needing it to do what it did.
Iâm sure if Blizzard really wanted to they could just use the same racials, but personally, given the lore and how blizzard tends to do things I doubt they would.
I cant at this time think of a race that doesnât have some sort of on use ability. So one should be.

Midare, everyone should know that what we see in game is not the total of what it really is as it is canon. For example, taken straight from the Primer Thread.
Yet, the lore keeps changing and contradicting.
I havenât even seen a numbers argument from the Pro side in years.
The only thing lately I have seen Blizzard bringing up is âno clue who they are as a larger groupâ. That is not saying there is so few of High Elves.

Coming soon there will be playable high elves, with darkfallen as a Horde counterpart. But not yet.

Maybe it is time to explore the Warcraft Universe bigger Fyre. Because canon numbers are actually not what you see in game, but are actually much, much more bigger.
