itās ridiculous that HMT and LFD have like 5 classes each. i wanted to make a LFD monk or shaman, nope. want to make a HMT priest or pally? nope as well. they really messed that one up good.
I think for me the lore of Maghar joining, being a separate army branch and being able to add more bodies to the Horde war effort made sense.
But in terms of LFD they could have added the Broken as a true AR, and then later maybe now that Turalyon is commander of forces in the excerpt of the new book they could have added LFD as customization.
i just realized the heritage belt for velfs, at least for females, is a replica of an ethereal belt. ethereals would be an awesome allied race. they are so unique

i got all the allied races i wanted. maghar, nightborne, DID, HMT, LFD, mechagnome, and even kt which is my favorite that i didnāt know i wanted until i saw them. i wish others were as happy and would get what they want as well.

Heh I genuinely love the VE armor set, its a crop top basically so many stuff on males is robes robes more robes.

I dunno, I feel like they could balance having them being differentiated in the story but as part of the base orc race for the purpose of being playable.

Thatās fair, I guess we just have different opinion on this too lol.
I liked the idea of going and getting this army of Orcs to swear fealty to the Dark Lady, and the Horde. So they seemed big enough to justify being their own thing.
In the future I still hope greater customization doesnāt come at the let down of playable races we might see added. But I think it can do wonders for more superfluous things like had the Maghar come later and not in the context of BFA Iād support them more as a customization.

iād have liked it better if velves had more lore before the recruitment scenario. you know? i think itās a good allied race. i like them more than belves. mostly because they have better hair and facial hair. XD
Personally they are tied for me with Blood Elves! They are the first race Iāve been able to get into on Alliance, and Iāve come to gain respect for Night Elves too. Previously I had always had a poor taste in my mouth for them meddling in Eversong and Ghostlands, and their narrative of being more nature based, and being the Night Elves that overthrew Azshara (the non Highborne) they just didnāt appeal to me. But now experiencing Alliance story on a race I love I decided I really like them too!
Personally I like the Void Elves, I think it takes the Blood Elf narrative and goes a bit further with pursuit of power, and gives the Alliance a Void exclusive race, and a race that makes for an interesting āwatch out for that oneā narrative.
But I would argue all the reasons I love Void Elves, are nothing to do with the reasons for why people want High Elves, the narrative that appeals to me in the form of Void Elves I think is more niche. And I think had the Void Elves stemmed from HEās I would like them a lot lessā¦ but I also think Blizzard not using HEās to make VEās makes the request for High Elves more valid then before.
I also see a decent story to be told among Void Elves, and High Elves working together on occasion for some good Easter egg dialogue.
All in all Iām extremely happy with Void Elves, I would like more story development. But I want Alliance High Elves too, because I know the appeal they have to people is the same love I have for Blood Elves and Void Elves.
Also yeah the hair options are nice! I do advocate for more though heh!!!

iām not in a good mood recently. my meds arenāt working the way theyāre supposed to so iām very grumpy. but i still stand behind the fact that it doesnāt make sense to waste so much time trying to keep people from getting something they want.

Dekkar, itās not that I donāt want them in the game because I hate anyone and donāt want them to have nice things. I have friends that my opinion is in direct opposition toā¦that does not make me feel any less friendly to them. Go ask them if they think I donāt want playable Alliance High Elves because Iām being mean. Some of them are right here in this thread.
I donāt think they belong in the game as a playable race. It dilutes the faction wall that I hate seeing weakened. They are portrayed as good guysā¦when from my point of view theyāre cowards who turned their backs on the vast majority of their race when they were needed the most, they refused to honor their fallen kin or their hereditary leader, and instead of rushing to help rebuild a Scourge-shattered nation they opted for the safety and comfort of Stormwind and Dalaran.
That, Dekkar, is why Iām opposed to them.
