kt are the best allied race. theyâd be so lucky to get something else as cool. (this is where i veer from team helfer into team horde who would rather kt have been horde since the alliance doesnât appreciate them)
blizz would have gotten a lot of money from me but they decided against kt pallies and warlocks.
I support this! For things like undead BE customization so I can be the true image of a loyalist! And their comments on Golden eyes and player choice to advocate to say you can choose to be cleansed by the sunwell. I think would support this.
I still view HEs as a large enough point of interest to be its own race however, same with Senâlayn. I donât think undead BE customization would take a spot for someone who wants a Senâlayn since youâd be modeled ala Dark Ranger skin tones etc.
In general Iâm for more customizations and new races.
This isnât born out of my opposition either, (I canât deny it ties in, but it is bigger than just the elf issue) my tastes run towards a smaller more curated collection of the big choices than just throwing everything out there. Maybe Iâm being unfair, but I get the impression with some games that have massive numbers of races that there isnât really a story for most of them other than âThis is the [pretty/burly/antro/short/looks disturbingly like a little girl/brightly colored/etc] raceâ and not much more goes into more than a couple of them.
So Iâd just rather keep the choices lower, but maybe really buff up the customizations, so you have the visual choice, but thereâs not an overwhelming amount of races that would massively complicate trying to include at least most of them in the story in a meaningful way
wow has countless races. and people have been asking for them to be playable since the beginning of the game. itâs not a matter of asking for cat people in wow. but for me, iâve wanted a broken draenei since i donât even know when. and theyâre big in the lore but not playable. most people are asking for npc races to become playable. which already have a bunch of lore.
Look on the bright side, The Longer they keep the two separated, the more likely Alliance High Elves will become playable. It seems to be heading in that direction anyhow.
Yeah, but NPC races donât need to remain relevant, they pop up when the story focuses on them, and then can go backstage until theyâre needed again. Every playable race should be getting some connection to each expansionâs story, and the more races there are you end up with most of them either ignored or getting a token bit here and there, and then a few races hog up most of the spotlight (for good or for bad) I mean, I feel like theyâre already at a point where they canât seem to deliver story exposure for a good number of races that are playable, adding more isnât going to help that.
itâs always been orcs vs humans in this game. that wonât change. but allowing more races even if they donât get a lot of screen time would make people happier with their character. honestly i want a horde eredar warlock but i know it will never happen. but i would race change dekkar in a second if i could.
Thatâs fair I just donât want it to be where support of customization becomes a direct threat for races people want playable. There has to be a way they can do both.
Me wanting to be a undead Blood Elf in the image of the Dark Ranger customizations, is probably my biggest want, with High Elves and Senâlayn races being tied for my second most want. And I would hate to think customization would compete with actual races that could be introduced.
For example if they introduced Undead Blood Elves⊠that to me would be superfluous. So I support it as a customization and it makes sense. Actually since I first read we might get them as customizations Iâve been hyped.
Generally I think HM Tauren, LFD, could have been customizations. But I think Maghar Orcs and Dark Iron Dwarves weâre right to be their own thing (this is just my opinion)
So I think the customizations will help in the future from becoming too over saturated like youâre saying, but I think things like Ogres, Mokânathol, High Elves, Senâlayn, Sethrak. Things that are generally highly asked for should still be asked for, thatâs where I sit on the issue.
See, I think I put the line between the two, Magâhar are mainly just normal skin tones and could have been a really easy customization addition to main orc, I feel like DiD and Velves are around the base of what an AR should be with the addition of the particle effects and other more striking visual changes. (theyâd be fine customizations if they never made ARs though)
no not just skin tone. if there were no maghar orcs i wouldnât have the orc priest iâve wanted since i started playing. they shouldâve gone one step further though and made maghar paladins!
