Imo, the first 3 pics are well done.
The tracing of the blood elf model, meh, lazy at best.

The insults are amusing because 1) if High Elves are just Blood Elves than any insult is about Blood Elves as well and 2) itās just sad when clearly they could do better! /s

I agree, I love Blood Elves and I love and support the addition of Alliance High Elves.
And the mocking of peoples arts to get a jab at anyone who supports HEās, I have been giving a lot of people the benefit of the doubt when they feel things are being generalized and donāt support those arguments, so I would hope for the same in return, I donāt think anyone who is supportive of HEās making a joke about antiās would go over very well.
And I would be inclined to support any art anyone who isnāt supportive of HEās shared as well, Iām always in awe of the things people draw. So if the antis have any BE art I would be the first one to throw it a like.

Its silly that the art itself is being judged here.
Folk have different level of skill and drew some stuff in support of what they like. Heck maybe it was a commission and they didnāt give a rats behind about high elves.
You wanna talk about high elf design shown, like tattoos and general aesthetic sure whatever.
But just being like, āthe quality sucks and these pictures are dumbā come onā¦ How does that matter at all to whether or not the alliance high elves should be playable.

If you donāt like high elves thatās fine and well I canāt really change that, but the āantiā posts here are contrarian for the sake of being contrarian using objectively poor and absurd arguments.
Notice how the same few people drop in just to throw in an unnecessary snide comments in response to something unrelated to them, as a way to somehow ākeep us in checkā. Itās so weird.
As if being a fan of high elves offends them or something.

You not liking the counter arguments doesnāt make them absurd, it simply means you donāt like them.
And I fully support high elves, I wish them to maintain their uniqueness and would not want to see their legacy of what they went through tarnished as something they could have simply be avoided by hiding behind the humans.

Itās best if you just ignore those kinds of people. Donāt give them the attention they are after.
If it gets out of hand or ridiculous just report them.
Being rude and insulting just for its own sake is not acceptable.

When I first paid attention to these threads, it came from a love of BEās, and a love of VEās. I was paying attention because VEās and BEās commonly get dragged for no reason, but on a personal level I was inclined to support HEās just because I think it adds rivalry and nuance for my BEās.
Then seeing how the HE request doesnāt damage either of the two playable races I do love, coupled with seeing how much everyone who supports them just wants to play them for the lore, and there being already existing lore to support them. I decided to move from indifferent to supporting the issue.
I always advocate for keeping an open mind.

Because itās about attacking players and people who bothered to even try, not discussing High Elves and their inclusion. The designs were probably partially made as a sort of olive branch for the players who feel threatened by them, but this topic isnāt even about High Elves at this point. Itās players against players.

If you were to tell me apples are the same thing as oranges, you are objectively wrong. This is what most of the arguments are based off of.
Scroll up to my responses and youāll see.
Which has absolutely nothing to do with people playing them, awesome. People can embrace the relationship high elves have with humans, and use that as a reason to want to play them, amongst other things.
If you donāt like them for this reason, youāre not affected by the people who do. This is what I mean by keeping an open mind.

I wouldnāt say that two things that are are not even part of the same genus are the same.
But I will call two things that are indeed the same what they are.
No, I donāt like them because they becoming independant renders the legacy of the already playable High elves pointless, not to mention it takes away from their uniqueness.

The high elves being requested are alliance.
