How do you figure that the people enforcing the exile of innocents in a bit of collective punishment killing off the means of those innocents from leaving doesnât take away from the idea that the SC was provoked into ethnic cleansing?
That is only bad when Horde does it?
SC could very easily join the Alliance. Theyâd fit right in, people of their race are there and now they have Void Elves to mingle with.
And besides that, where exactly is he? He hasnât shown up in the current expansion, since complaining about the faction war and running off. For all we know, he could be dead now.
The conversation which led to this was how people dislike Blood Elves because they are too âhaughtyâ. The Silver Covenant is haughty^2⌠Thatâs not what theyâre looking for.
And people who dislike mana tapping living things because it was a bad thing, but are down for war crimes⌠yikes.
âŚ
You know what, I need to get something to eat, my tummyâs rumbling and I havenât had anything to eat all day.
I just wish you donât go into a sugar coma from drinking the produce of Kool-aid for an entire month.
And the entire faction of Blood Elves were about to leave the Horde and join the Alliance in MoP.
Oh, I forgot, weâre not supposed to bring this up.
Kind of like the idea that the high elves are all rugged rangers and the blood elves pampered in their city, leaving out the whole group of rangers keeping that city from being overrun by leftover scourge.
Ugh, youâre still comparing a single character leaving the Alliance to an entire playable race that was not going to switch sides mid xpac?
Good thing I have to go make myself a late 2 am dinnerâŚ
You can bring it up. Sure it was never going to happen. Lore is whatever, but are you really suggesting that Blizzard was going to faction switch half of the Horde player base?
Did you really need me to explain that?
How many prisoners did the Horde take at Teldrassil, compared to Jainaâs prisoners in Dalaran?
âŚbut thatâs a fan fiction. Thatâs not a thing, or at least nothing distinct. Farstriders are still an organization in Silvermoon.
That only shows the extent to which they feel threatened by the SC lol
You can try that when Iâm trying to justify Horde wrongdoings.
Then maybe, youâll feel the same way I do when you guys try to pass murdering civilians as ârighteousâ.
Nice what aboutism.
Again, that was dealt with. We had a whole rebellion.
⌠further that is off topic.
I kinda link that and the haughty thing as the same concept. People are projecting all the positive traits on to what they want and acting like thereâs only the negative traits on whatâs already here.
But really the Silver Covenant are minor villains in the Blood Elf story. The Exiles are whatever but the Silver Covenant is not what they want it to be.
I would disagree Tarrok, the traits that people argue make Alliance HEâs personalities I donât care for or value personally.
Where as the traits you describe as negative that are being attributed to Blood Elves I would say are traits I respect and like more.
Even if you take out the value judgement, it happens with the things people want them to be. Despite the fact that was see as many if not more high elves who are mages as ranger types, I see some people saying the high elves are the rangers and blood elves are all city dwelling mage types or something. Thereâs a spectrum of types on both sides that you canât boil either down to one stereotype.
Oh yeah, that totally makes up for it. Further, the whole purge of Dalaran was brought up; which apparently isnât off topic, and she askedâŚ
