High Elf NPC Eye Change?

I mean, it was about the NPC eye colors, but then you derailed your own thread and started pushing the typical high elf agenda you usually see in other high elf threads, and in the same fashion, too.

That is a light purple, resembling arcane energy. Both races are capable of having this appearance and they were added in simultaneously, just as blue eyes were. The purple that the void elves currently have looks significantly more different from these light purple ones. No one is stealing anything here. Blizzard doesn’t owe you a compromise

Where did this come from? I thought we were talking specifically about eye colors?? :face_with_monocle:

That was already answered for you, buddy :upside_down_face::

Wink, wink, nudge, nudge at Blizzard…
“Hey, yeah, might as well give us those void elf paladins, huh Blizzard? Heh, not saying it’ll happen but hey… ya never know… I wouldn’t be surprised though… not… at… all…”

How would you not be surprised if this happened? The entire community would be confused, void elf fans included. If you are such a fan of the current void elf lore you would know that paladins and void do not go together.

I will say in your defense, however, that I’m sure you do care about void elf customizations. The thing is that you’re trying to chalk this all up as “more customizations for void elves” when really, you’re just demanding compromises from blood elves based on an eye color you think is being stolen from void elves. So you start throwing in “void elf paladins,” “natural hair colors,” “ear sizes”(which I’m sure they will get, just not yet)… And before you mention void paladins: no.

Also:

Horde players have every right to be upset about blood elf customizations being snatched from them and given to a race that wasn’t originally intended to have them. If that were the case, void elves would’ve had the customizations from the get-go. What high elf fans don’t seem to understand is that the race they spend so much time drooling over has been in the Horde the entire time since Burning Crusade. Don’t even mention the Silver Covenant because those are just small in numbers compared to most of the high elves who either died or went Horde.

At this point, I don’t even care what customizations void elves get. More power to the RPers, I suppose. It just gets tiring seeing all of these high elf fans trying to play a race that they’re not, demanding everything blood elves have because “boo-hoo, this isn’t the race that we asked for…
I play both races and I’m quite happy with their lore differences, but I don’t need to look like the other to be happy with the faction I play…
What’s next? You wanna take Silvermoon City? Our heritage armor? Our classes? The Sunwell?

I didn’t derail it, I defended my point and kept the conversation going, there is a difference.

I mean, I’m not demanding anything? Just talking, although if COLOR for skin and hair is such a huge identity. Then taking the Purple color theme from the eyes is also a pretty big theme that is being taken. To be fair.

There are technically more Silver Covenant members, then there are Void Elves. The Silver Covenant is the Military might of the High Elves who were important enough to get a call out from Elisande due to their numbers. They are also more numerous then the Mag’har that Lore Wise came back to our time.

I mean, technically given the parameters of the lore, they rightfully deserve all of besides Green and Yellow eyes. So idk what to tell you.

they need to at least give the recent blood elves pitch black hair color to void elves. it screams goth

My favorite part is the Blood Elves who screamed about not getting purple eyes (they were added at the same time but wowhead didn’t report it, so there was a few hours when we thought it was void elf only)

Yet those same people are adamant there should be differences between void elves and blood elves in the Natural Hair Colors for Void Elf thread.

They literally argued against differences because it was them that wanted something, but when it’s on the other foot? They throw a tantrum and want to keep it unique.

Actually it was velf only at the beginning but like a bit later thre was a server re-start and belves got it too.

However, your point still stands.

I actually think these were meant to be velf only truly, because the eyes look very voidy.

Let’s not forget velf npcs had black hair colours first and belves are more than happy ho have gotten it (their previous one was really dark blue).

Well, that is the forums these days. They act like it has to be there way or the Highway.

I think that more-so has to do with the limited stuff that was given to Belves. And if Velves get everything they have, plus what Blood Elves have, then things aren’t exactly great for Belves. Luckily there doesn’t seem to be any Velves that want the tacky jewelry.

They need to give Belves something else to set it all apart. Dark Ranger or San’layn like looks, scars, tattoos. Especially for male Belves that got really screwed over.

And that doesn’t even touch on how much Velves have gotten when other allied races are still waiting.

Also, purple eyes have been a Belf request for a while. Since they gave us the golden Holy eyes, but not the arcane to represent the well.

Well, there is nothing stopping people from requesting for anything.

But what I have mainly seen is instead of people creating threads, with there suggestion on what they would like to see for Blood Elves, they jump into any thread, where people are requesting stuff for Void Elves, and “daja vu” like the High Elves threads over and over again.

I mean, I am pretty sure you get the picture on what I mean by that.

It happens to Belf request threads as well. Not only does it turn into a Velf request thread but also Helf as well.

I guess some people have just too big of a mouth on either side. I dunno.

Only thing I am against is Void Elf Paladins, because, in the end, they are still Void Elves, and Silvermoon being made a nuetral city. Anything in terms of customizations, I am not against.

They could make such a beautiful Void or purple crystalline castle for Void Elves.

I have no issues with the rift myself. But my own opinion of course.

Things I would like to see for the Void Elves, is Human/NE hair styles, and haircolours. Oh, and also, some more stuff to appeal for the void too, such as Void looking runic tattoos, and options to toggle how much of the Void Corruption we have.

Again, nothing is being taken away here. This is a completely new eye color resembling arcane energy. Both races are capable of having this eye color. The skin colors and faces, however, were copied.

The Silver Covenant were there for no other reason than to just group all of the elves together and have Elisande comment on each one of them. Other than that, they’re practically irrelevant. Modern high elves are “a rare sight.” And of course there are more high elves than void elves currently, they are a brand new race. Void elves also consist of blood elves and high elves. Any of the ones you see in Telogrus Rift that don’t have the blue skin have not yet gone through their transformation, which explains the red hair, fair skin, etc.

But you think blood elves don’t deserve purple for… what lore reason? Like I said, I don’t care at this point. Any customizations they get are good for roleplay. It’s just the attitude of “if blood elves get x, then void elves should also get x and then some, or no fair!” that gets bothersome after multiple threads of it are made. Nevertheless, the high elf fans arrived here, so congrats.

Do we have a screenshot of the current glitched ones?

Well, that is because only Magister Umbric and his small group of followers were transformed by Etherals. Alleria came to the rescue and saved them during there transformation.

I mean… If they’re giving blood elves the option to use the void elves’ purpley eyes then there’s nothing wrong with adding a few more hair colours to the void elves.

None of it matters at all, actually. Make orcs available to alliance and humans to horde for all I care.

This is confirmed to be a bug by Steve Danuser on Twitter, but blood and void elves will be getting that eye option as a customization option due to the error when they also fix high elf female NPC’s and make them go back to normal blue eyes.

That’s not the eye color we’re getting. Void elf purple eye color has no pupil. The eye color both races are getting is the result of a bug that has no attached lore to it. It’s just something they thought would be neat. There’s nothing stating it is arcane, void, or anything in between. It could be a birth defect for all people know.

I understand that but the purple colour is the void elf theme.

I was basically using that as an example to illustrate the point that I think fighting over who gets what customizations is silly. lol

I would disagree very heavily considering the purple born from the bug is also got some pink in it. It looks nothing like the void, and every void related eye coloration we have seen is typically red. IE: N’zoth, C’thun, etc.

Like, that color looks way more arcane than anything else when we’re talking about Blizzard’s color coordination. It’s the same color as arcane explosion, or arcane missles as a spell. And I say that as someone who loves the void.

However, I’m also someone who fully believes we need to stop blurring the lines and giving everybody everything, so I will never agree with orcs on Alliance, humans on Horde, or the blurring of more customizations and just being lazy about it. It comes off very lazy to me.
