I hear theres something about tigers on Netflix.
or westworld on HBO(renewed for season 4 WOO HOO)!
Sweet! I need to get HBO again!
True, but it doesnât have enough salt for me to be able to enjoy
I donât care who started what in the primordial soup of the Burning Crusade. This is a pro high elf thread. That aside, itâs not an âeither orâ issue for me, personally. I see no reason for it not to be an âandâ in due time. At the very latest when Blizzard finally realizes the faction model is dated and does not work for the narratives theyâre trying to tell. Iâm really looking forward to that, btw.
My support for playable high elves! Iâve been unsubscribed for almost a year now and I have no intention of coming back with how boring classes have gotten and shadowlands seems very meh to me. Itâs strange to say since this game was a massive part of my life for a long time. If Blizz was to cater more to player requests like high elves, more unpruning of classes, and less time gating would surely bring me back. It seems silly that they seem to restrict and copy paste more than add to the game as of the last couple of expansions.
Exactly, all the threads that popped up after datamining with people trying to rub it in high elf fansâ faces was so petty.
Like sweet, blue eyes for blood elves are fine, I will still continue supporting playable high elves regardless.
Youâre dealing with humans here. Any indication that they may be right and you may be wrong most will use against you. However to be fair some High Elf peeps made threads as well.
YES! HIGH ELVES FOR THE ALLIANCE, LET IT HAPPEN.
Always liking the supporters out there.
your wish already came true. theres even a playable high elf variant. each faction has a unique playable thalassian elf now
I donât get why people are like that from either side. If blood elves get blue eyes itâs cool. If they donât oh well.
High elves becoming playable/not becoming playable wonât kill me either.
What will kill me? Playable nightborne continuing to look like disgusting robotsâŠ
Edit: I can see playpen is still being pretentious, nothing has really changed since the datamining
Even the most minuscule thing of someone thinking they are right/wrong can lead them to go into a frenzy. Itâs weird.
Well, this is GD. People seem to panic more here on most subjects than those who chose to panic buy at a supermarket over toilet paper.
Yea seems that way. Had a dude freak out in a thread once and start saying that I was hired by someone who was harassing them because I was in a thread and happened to be from WrA the server they were from. Which then spiraled into them saying that I must be out to get them and I was getting payed fan art for âharassingâ them because I happened to also disagree with them.
People are weird.

Hey now, nobody can out General Discussion more than General Discussion itself.
After all, if it is not panic buying of toilet paper, it is panic post of GD.
Wow. Thatâs crazy.
Actually the Blood Elves are not WoWâs take on High Elves.
If you look at the lore, there is a serious divergence in the path the elves of QuelâThalas took and it was over a very particular issue regarding how to satiate or cure their addiction to magic.
There was a very big, character defining choice each side made.
Just because the Sunwell is back doesnât change that choice nor the enmity that arose in the interim, nor the enmity that has arisen in the story since then.
Players who want to play High Elves, want to play ACTUAL MAJESTIC HIGH ELVES.
The Blood Elves are contributors and accessories to genocide (Theramore, Darnassus, and more) and war crimes. The High Elves stayed with the Alliance. The species may be the same, but they took different names for a reason --> they are two separate political entities now. Having a shared history doesnât change that. They took radically different paths dealing with magical addiction.
The Blood Elves were okay consorting with demons and enslaving Naaru. The High Elves were not.
The fact that the Blood Elves arenât doing that anymore doesnât change the fact THAT THEY WERE OKAY WITH THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE.
This is a video game, specifically an MMORPG. Characters who want playable alliance high elves are arguing from the perspective of the RPG-elements.
The story of a character and that characterâs journey mattersâŠincluding the characterâs potential BACKSTORY. A Void Elf and Blood Elfâs backstory is VERY DIFFERENT than that of an Alliance High Elf.
The faction sanctity argument fails in that both sides have Pandas and both sides have characters with the same model (Night Elves and Nightborne, Void Elves and Blood Elves). In armor, itâs hard to tell the difference in the midst of PvP. (where it would matter â a niche of the game).
And furthermore, not all blood elf players are like you in opposition to Alliance High Elves. Not even most.
