High Elf Love Thread! đŸ„°

do i really trust this person?

to avoid confusion you can refer to a specific group. SC or highvale. thats really it. a small dalaran militia that may or may not be a thing anymore and a couple hermits camping on the outskirts of their homeland

Yeah, poor guy missed the fact that the eyes that were datamined had been checked out with last night’s update to reveal that the red and blue eyes were actually Mag’har orcs and void elves eyes. Otherwise it was a great video.

I think Quel’dorei is better!
I don’t think it’s confusing to use high elf, but that seems agitate people who purposely pretend they can’t tell the difference between high elves and blood elves haha.
It’ll prevent further derailing to use quel’dorei imo but I’m okay with whatever people prefer!

did you notice how wowhead hasnt posted VOID ELF and MA’GHAR ORCS customizations(ARs arent even supposed to be getting a pass in shadowlands btw)? yet the person you are citing is openly pro high elf and has already back peddled on twitter

you do you, but they arent a united group. they all have their own agenda and are scattered. the vast majority preferring neutrality and still keeping ties with the homeland(pilgrimages)

Void, blood and high elves are Thalassian elves.

The groups are Blood, Void and High.

Blood and Void for the obvious parties and High for the ones that didn’t take the name change.

Come on now. We’ve all been through this a hundred times.

Edit: suppose if you want to get technical there’s also San’layn?

I know! I absolutely agree with you.

I just feel like it would prevent the whole “wana play high elf? Play H0RDE high elves lel” trolls from swarming by using quel’dorei since it strictly refers to the high elves who didn’t change their name.

I think it’s ridiculous too but if it prevents useless arguing over the terms high and blood then I welcome it!

Yes, I noticed Wowhead has been roughly 6 hours behind her in posting datamined information before. I have also noticed that people have attacked her when she said that “CURRENTLY” they are not listed as available for Blood Elves. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen and it doesn’t mean I am saying it won’t. Which she has claimed over and over again. It’s just some people get overly passionate and outright angry when something isn’t the way they want it to be.

Also I realize that yes customizations currently aren’t available for Allied races, but even allied races are getting sliders and will probably have a few things to choose from on those sliders as well which could be eyes. This is not saying that they will

Just Currently that is what we know.

Okay and this is now posted twice
which once again to be more clear since it seems I haven’t been clear enough apparently. She said “CURRENTLY” meaning subjected to change, can be changed later
so yes take what is said with a grain of salt.

It’s Alpha
anything can change from now until release.

But she has no evidence that they aren’t “Currently” for blood elves
that’s her speculation, and she tried to state it as a fact
which is just incorrect and misleading.

And ironically she’s a helfer to boot.

And it’s speculation, y’know a guess, even educated, and you keep using this “Know” word in regards to that.

To be fair Ion said this and definitely meant High Elves as in if you want that aesthetic and feel to play the Blood Elves. They do have virtually the same culture. Most of the major differences lie in politics. At the time he was trying to be clear, no matter how callously, that at that time there were no plans to add High Elves to the Alliance. (We also don’t exactly have any indication for or against them having changed that course)

why are you so worried about blood elves(high elves) getting eye colors that make sense at this point. after all my mage uses arcane magic pretty much every day? use of arcane magic is why the original blood(high) elves got blue eyes in the first place and oh yea the sunwell is arcane as much as it is holy magic. that blood elf players should have the option to choose their eye color is a reasonable request

is the ‘lore’ of your request that weak?

You can have all the blue eyes and elves you want, as long as Alliance gets high elves.

Additionally she admitted her “new” evidence wasn’t even why she felt blue eyes aren’t for Blood elves, she said it was because the blue eyes didn’t come with blind options like the rest. (Despite that many eye colors for other races don’t have blind options yet either.)

So really she hasn’t actually brought anything new to the table. She looked at the pictures, said “this doesn’t look like that.” and then immediately jumped to the conclusion that it isn’t happening, much like many other Helfers.

In the end, there’s no saying whether or not blood elves are getting blue eyes, but we really shouldn’t be going around saying how something currently is, or isn’t happening unless Blizzard officially says something.

That’s great! Have fun!

I love how players celebrated, freaked out, and the forums went nuts when it was allegedly straight up “Blood Elves are getting blue eyes!” and now that it appears that may not be the case
Well, hold up we need to step back and wait to see before there’s any celebration because
Oh yeah they’re gonna get blue eyes. Fascinating.

The Troll and Orc scars and tats look so good. I wish Belves and Velves were getting some of those.
